Will Nigeria crypto and forex traders ever enjoy liberty??

As a Nigerian citizen we gotta keep the ground running as imposed by our govt, well my ears has been on the ground since then for latest update concerning binance p2p ban in Nigeria, a few of my crypto folks have suggested other alternatives like okx, bybit , bitget etc. I signed up on the trio to explore their features, the latter is giving out some BGB rewards just by completing your very first P2P buy order. For a start it seems cool yeah.


After trying out those three exchanges, I think I’ll go with the latter cex for the following reasons.

First off, their appeal time is super quick compared to Bybit exchange, they understand that time is precious, and make it a point to resolve any issues within just few hours. Bybit can literally keep you waiting for more than 24 hours and am talking from experience. I mistakenly did a transfer twice to one of their p2p merchant which took forever to be resolved.

Now back to comparison, bitget selling and buying prices are among the best in the market imho, they seem to always be on their toes as other competitors are in the market.

In terms of safety I’ll still pick them because after sending excess funds to bybit p2p merchant, he outrightly blocked me and stopped picking my calls.. when a merchant on bitget p2p delayed in sending funds after estimated time has elapsed, I filed an appeal and their CS released my funds to me in less than 1hr after asking me for video proof and all that .

But it's not just about features and functionality, the exchange p2p Authentication is a breeze. We just need to input our fund code to release the funds. No need to go through the hassle of using Google Authenticator or waiting for email code verification like on some other platforms like binance exchange.


Talking about those merchants demeanor on the cex, I've personally interacted with many of them, and they're fast. They complete the payment in just 2 to 3 minutes, which is way quicker than what I've experienced on other platforms. Plus, they're humble and helpful, which makes the whole process so much smoother.

No gree for anybody, when one door shut we stomp the other door, the govt cannot control everything. Don’t give up on crypto because of this and rather look for an alternative which I stated above ..

I think the OP already mention Bitget, Bybit and OKX. From my experience, Bybit has the highest traffic for now but users are complaining of scam and poor customer service. Perhaps you should try out Bitget

Actually when I use binance I no see anything like verification code from email to release coin, but rather na just my password or finger print naim I use to release coin after I don confirm payment. Just like wattin ololajulo talk, we go really miss binance exchange. Because na them get one of the most fastest KYC approval especially when you use bVN take verify. Currently now, I'm checking kucoin out but, for the verification stage, them deny my BVN verification for more than 5 times before I come use another alternative.

No be lie. Binance na big name but other cex don step up oo. Bitget verification wey I confirm myself na 1hr and their P2P rate sharp with active merchant. Them don try for that matter.. so I believe that user recommendation..

For me this na the worse wey them fit do because dem feel say with the ban on binance e go stop people from investing and trading dollar and maybe given their valueless naira some hope to rise up but that totally different from what is happening because binance have been stopped from having anything concerning naira on it but that no mean say na only binance dem get because a whole lot of different exchange still dey wey people dey do their things on a low.

I have to disagree with you on this maybe the period you use the platform the P2P trading vendors might be low which is still unbelievable to me or you might have been looking to trade for a very low amount which is something this is very low interms of vendors.

KuCoin is my biggest P2P exchange aside binance in fact they were times I prefer it way more than binance itself. It supports are proactive interms of queries or anything. But if you do not want to use it then use Bybit it is one of the most famous platforms for Nigeria crypto future traders and as such has enough vendors using it too

Unfortunately to you OP you have been scammed by some p2p Marchants for some reason, I would have said you should be more careful to use platform, although its not the fault of any exchange that people get scammed but it's solely on everyone to be security conscious while trading, if you haven't received don't give out funds or coins that is just it.

We shouldn't expect everything to just become accepted and patronized by persons or in this case, the government, who do not understand better or claim not to understand all because they want a share in form of tax.

Until we have a younger more technologically driven president in this country, we will still have to manage and strive to make our older leaders understand that earning these days don't get to come from a regular or part time paying job. One can remotely work online as well as trade forex or cryptocurrency from the comfort of their bedroom and still do better than a regular office worker.

I must say I understand the concern of government in trying to protect its citizens from online scams like that of MMM, but it should take cooler heads and brilliance to project crypto and forex to the government as a legal means of earning and staying governed in a country where prices and rate of terrorism and insecurity has risen.

You have already stated what was on my mind,  our youths are very smart and we always finds another alternatives im what ever we do. But the areas we fail is we don't act when things are not worse. On binance there have been several ways to sell crypto for fiat, p2p withdraw and sell crypto, but lot of people already put there minds on p2p because that is the most easy way to sell crypto for fiat. But I think even without the binance exchange we can still do well when is come to p2p transactions, we already other exchanges like OKX, KUCOIN, YELLOWCARD and lot more.
