For months, for weeks and for days which I have been planning to invest in Ethereum but I don't know which of the wallet I would used to hodle the coins for a long term investment. I tried to check Google Play Store but I didn't see any wallet that accept Ethereum then I further went to their official website to see if I can get any wallet recommendations but I didn't see and that is why I came here to ask so that those who have using the coin will tell me the best non custodial wallet that is good for Ethereum hodling.
I don't want to use Trustwallet but and insolated Wallet tht mainly for the project like Electrum wallet for bitcoin only. Any suggestions or recommendations?

There are only three that can be given to you: the first metamask or the Exodus wallet. I am pretty sure that those two have been used first. Now, if you really want something like an electrum for bitcoin, the only thing I know that you can use is the Mist wallet: https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases or you can also try https://www.myetherwallet.com/ Just try to explore yourself in the wallet of Mist. But if you hold a large amount of Ethereum, it is better to put your ETH in your hardware wallet, like Ledger or Trezors. I hope this helps. Good luck.

I actually did ask a member on this forum who is very good at tech ideas about the recommended wallet he will advise me to store some USDT, and he mentioned MetaMask and Unstoppable wallet. I used MetaMask a long time ago, and I did not quite like it, but since they added new features lately, I just decided to try it again, and yet I still do not like the wallet. The Android version is very slow on my Android, while my phone RAM is very large, and the app was not supposed to be misbehaving on my phone, but it was. I didn't try the Window's extension of the metamask on my system, but that was because I did not like the wallet for one major reason too.
The metamask Android version doesn't allow the creation of an address unless your device internet connection is turned on; the app will not even open if your network is not connected to the internet, which to me is more like creating an online wallet.
I tried the Unstoppable wallet, and I was able to create multiple wallet without an internet connection. This wallet is also open source, which is why I think it is very recommendable.
While creating your wallet address, do it offline (you can put your device or flight mood), and when done creating the wallet address, manually back up your secret phrase, copy your deposit address for the desired coin, and then delete the generated address to avoid your phrase being online. Then you can use the address to impot to the wallet as a watch address.

My personal choice regarding ethereum wallets, remains myetherwallet. Moreover, there have been many updates there and apart from being able to be used with the website version, this wallet is also available in application form. I have also used trustwallet but because I fell in love with myetherwallet, I returned to using this as my main wallet for ethereum. although it can be used to store other coins.

pretty much all reputable wallet is safe enough if im talking about security most of wallet are already matured enough like metamask where they give heads up about whether smart contract might be security danger and threat. there are even some wallet that outright analyse about what the smart contract is doing and that is pretty neat for people that can't really read solidity or at least to check whether the compiled code are safe enough, this one, i don't know whether they could analyse compiled code but if they can thats pretty neat, since sometime you know some harmful contract or new contract are usually when they are deployed they haven't submittted the ABI to etherscan or at least verify the smart contract codes. overall, i always use metamask, if you want to secure wallet and don't want to get it exposed you can simply just create an address or brand new wallet, write down the mnemonic or the private key and then delete that wallet from metamask or at least reset the metamask then you're set. or if you know how to code, you can easily create your own wallet if youre not so sure about wallet created by other people and use etherjs library.

Ideally, a hardware wallet (or any sort of cold wallet setup) would be the best choice for long term holding. If you're interested, I suggest checking thebitcoinhole.com for the detailed comparison + discount vouchers -- I know the website is called bitcoin but many HW supports major altcoins such as ETH.

You might not find many wallets like Electrum in the sense that they are for 1 coin only because there are so many EVM compatible networks. An Ethereum wallet can also function as a wallet for BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, etc. It is not much of an issue because they have nearly identical functionality so supporting additional EVM blockchains is trivial.
Metamask is probably the wallet which you will see recommended the most. It is the wallet that is most compatible with web3 apps. For additional security you might want to use a hardware wallet in conjunction with Metamask.

You're absolutely right I also consider metamask as the best wallet for ethereum, and is highly recommended unlike as you said earlier, with the help of metamask you can create a multiple ethereum account,so metamask still remains the best wallet for ethereum.

I would recommend a hardware wallet to hold your Ethereum safely & securely, it’ll give you total peace of mind. Only order from the official websites though as I’m sure you can imagine the dangers of not doing so. www.trezor.iowww.ledger.comSome might say they’re relatively expensive but when you consider the alternatives like leaving your money on an exchange like FTX, well you know what I mean.

I agree to the others suggesting hardware wallets because it's always been the best. But if it's the case that you don't have any of it then these two were the ones that I've used while I don't have it yet before.

I suggest you try to dive into exodus wallet. I personally like exodus wallet it is very easy to use and the transactions are seamless and it is also secured and safe. There also other wallets that are popular among the community which are ledger and trezor. Metamask is also a popular one but I have seen cases saying their wallet got drained.

I really appreciate your information on the metamask advantage and the disadvantage. Some people have not even used it before but because people were talking about it or seen other made the recommendation and they just follow the footsteps of the previous comments to complete their. Many people have recommended Metamask and I also have it in the mobile. I downloaded it because I am using it to Store my Eloncoin but I have not used it to make output transaction and only in input transaction. And when I first open the Wallet, I first saw Ethereum wallet as I opened the app and finished the registration and I clicked on the downdrop bar and I saw other coins but I manually added Eloncoin block or Chain network in the app. So since I have the app and many people have recommended it for me let me continue with it. Thanks your all for you you recommendations.

Myetherwallet (MEW), Metamusk is good wallet for Ethereum so you can use them for ETH also any ERC-20 based token too. Trust wallet is also a good wallet for token holders but Trust Wallet is also fine for Multi chain currency holding. i am using trust wallet as a regular based wallet and i hold must of my Token on Trust wallet and also on MEW. and there are another advantage of MEW wallet that i can import my MEW wallet on TWT apps very easily

Operationally it is very easy, moreover, the application is also available on mobile devices which makes it easier for users. but still, wallets like Trustwallet are not very safe to use to store assets. I know it's popular for use in the community, but if you store quite a lot of your assets, it's better to use a hardware wallet. and most importantly, don't carelessly connect your wallet to any website. always use a new wallet if you want to connect to the website.

Indeed hardware wallets are the best for holding huge amount of coins, but the only problem is that it is expensive compared to other non custodial wallet with good reputations. However if it's a small amount of coin the op wants to hold, then meta mask so be a good fit for that. For more safety you could also use an air gapped device, so you know that the Chances of getting hacked is minimal.

I think choosing an Ethereum wallet depends on your specific needs and preferences, because nowadays there are many Ethereum wallets that are good and also safe. However, it is important to choose one that is truly safe, easy to use, has a good reputation and also has the feature specifications you want. And you should still do thorough research before doing it to ensure that it is the best and suits your needs. And I think by far a good wallet for Etheruam is. Hardware Wallet: Ledger Nano S or Ledger Nano X Software Wallet: MetaMask. MyEtherWallet and also Trust Wallet.

If you don't want your wallet to be connected to the internet then it will be better to use a hardware wallet like trezor. The most popular and simplest non custodial wallet is metamask which has a desktop browser extension and a mobile version of their wallet. To only store ETH and if you don't need to use various DeFi features within the app then metamask is enough for now. Also few other wallet like Exodus, 1inch, and SafePal are some of the best multi wallet service providers right now.
