It is an alternative to which those who do not have experience and would like more than to earn money to be entertained should go, in my case I would not do it, I can assume at sports betting losses without problems.
I agree with you because I was just thinking if Is it assumed one is taking bet for a professional by going back to learn about it and spending all those times in playing demo just to check your gaming and prediction capacities. How weird it sounds.

So I as assuming if would that system eliminate loosing on stakes? Because as much as it is, gambling is a game of luck that nomatter how expertise one may claim about it, the system of gambling and winning remains a game of luck so if your winning can not be guaranteed after those while going back to relearn again and passing through those processes while it makes of luck chances changes then it is not worth it.

If you were to restart sports betting again, would consider learning first by betting on paper. This involves selecting 1 to 2 games daily and tracking the outcomes of your picks without wagering real money on a sportsbookie platform.

It doesn't make sense to me, because you aren't learning how to read charts, what are you going to gain from using a demo in gambling? If your prediction goes right or wrong what is the end gain? You aren't improving yourself in any possible way, you can even end up jumping right into gambling if a few of your demo bets come to a pass.

No expertise or strategy can make anyone a ruler over luck, you will lose money if luck isnt on your side and you will win when it is time, don't try to confuse yourself that gambling is for you, it's not for anyone, you are just lucky for the time being.

Avoid confusing yourself that you are a pro, even if you win in a few rolls, it's possible that gambling will take everything back from you, this is why you must erase any greed off the table, and focus on how you will keep risking a certain amount on gambling either it's favoring you or not.

Good idea but I'm sure that some people here would disagree and say that they should just do it for real and bet money while practicing and in this case, relearning. I do think that it's a neat idea and I don't see any problem in doing this one too because it's a good help to gauge how good you are with your betting and your analysis of the teams and the games. I think that practicing your bets or any kind of practice including the trading is an underrated thing for many of us, it's such a good way to make sure that you're ready for what to come and at the same time make sure that you're going to be confident with yourself and that you won't be quickly fumbling on things that you're doing, I advocate for people to be doing this kind of thing even if some might think that it's stupid.

In case I had no experience with sports betting at all, then this would probably be my first step before putting any real money down. Keeping track of our bets is a good idea to see how well our convicitions are doing and to check our long run profitability. The issue I have with demo trading or betting is that it takes some of the fun out of it and I am not sure if's really necessary. When it comes to sports betting the minimum bet sizes are very user friendly. With 10 USD we could already start placing bets on multiple matches. So, instead of making paper bets where I don't get any profits I would rather start with placing 2 USD bets and spread my money across a lot of different matches. Then after a few weeks I can quickly see how much profit or loss I made without really losing a lot of money. Another benefit of starting with real money is also that we can take advantage of welcome bonuses for new gamblers. Especially when placing a lot of small size bets getting 100 or 200% on our initial bankroll can make a big difference.

I believe I would rather start betting with actual money instead just noting on paper my picks. Though, I would make sure to start with very small amounts like 1$, instead going for more risky amounts of money.
I think having something at stake while gambling works as a encouragement for us to further out effort into research to pick up the right choice, instead making our bets all about luck, you know.

If I started paper betting, I would not put as much effort into thinking my choices and the chances of winning, because I would not feel any pressure to do so.
Paper betting is good of the person betting is passionate about the specific sport, but otherwise, I would not recommend it. It takes time to do some analysis and be convinced on what team to pick, in my opinion.

I don't know the number of gamblers that can be patient enough to be doing paper gambling. I don't think many gamblers learn from that way. Most gamblers started by direct gambling and newbies too are doing same.

People demo trade because of the process of trading which is not really straightforward . You really need to learn about it before you start because apart from the finance involved, it has different compactment that you actually need to study and have basic knowledge of them before you can start trading proper and it is not everyone that can go through that or understand it and I don't know if I will be right to say there are quite larger number of gamblers than traders and that perhaps is because of its cumbersome process.

It doesn't make any big deal. For those that haven't learned about sports Gambling and are probably non conversant with it, it's more like a demo that can serve as a guide before the main game.

Thier is nothing like not risking Money. What brings out the real fun in gambling is when you've played with money and so after playing the demo, you will still stake with money so it's not an issue at all. The question should be that, what happens when you only play demos without staking real money, is it still Gambling?

Yes, i do really feel up that you are just basically wasting up your time on betting without having any bets and just like been said by most people on here that there's no fun
when you do bet on a sport without having those real money. You would really be having no feeling of excitement since you know that you cant really be able to gain up something on which
its better that you should be starting at least with some small amount on which you would be having that kind of impression that they would really be having that thrill
on the time that they are seeing on whats the outcome of their bets.

True, I don't think that strategy will work, because when betting with real money, our minds will focus on choosing which team or which market is the best choice to win.
And in most cases, in the end we will definitely be placing bet on the favorite team/market.
The pressure to win when betting with real money will definitely influence our choices, which is different if we only predict the final result of a match without any money involved.

I do agree with this that it would be better that you should start up with mere amounts as some form or trying to test on what it do really looks and feels like on using up a real balance because if you do make use nothing or simply free then its true that there would be no thrill on the time that you would really be making some betting. Totally that different experience if we do compare about free and something that you do make some bets on.
Just like you said that its impossible that you cant be able to tell the difference among the two on which it is really far more entertaining if you do make bets with using a real money.
Emotions that could be felt would be real and not something you do look numb because you have nothing to lose when you do test some demo funds or something that doesnt have any value.

There's no enjoyment on that or thrill and the main reason on why we do gamble is for leisure and entertainment and there's no fun on betting with demo money or
simply the experience is whole lot different.

That demo is important to test what we can do in sports betting, if our result is profitable using that demo, it should not change using the actual money. If that changes and you loss, that means you have a problem with controlling your emotion, as you change your judgement because of that. So the problem here is your emotion, not until you fix that problem which the solution is to control your emotion that's the only time you'll achieve the same result during your demo outcome.

Peopel loss in gambling not because they don't have the skills or it's not winnable, but because gamblers doesn't have the discipline and they could easily make a bad decision once they are tested with a losing streak, human nature, we want to get our money back, so we loss focus.

If you were to restart sports betting again, would consider learning first by betting on paper. This involves selecting 1 to 2 games daily and tracking the outcomes of your picks without wagering real money on a sportsbookie platform.

I wouldn't mind doing that, it is a good way to see if you have still got it or not, and if you see that the results of your selected games aren't in your favour, you can revaluate your strategy, improve your knowledge, see where made a mistake and then retry again with other games. One should keep doing this until they see that their predictions are finally working very well and they can win more games now.

It is just like using a demo account where you can put your skills up on the test to see if you can do something or not or whether your chosen strategy is working or not. So I think everyone should do this before getting into the real thing so that they can understand if sports betting is for them or not.

Sports betting is still gambling that requires luck for you to consistently win aside from analysis skill. This is why you can still have a bad result even after you have good run on paper bet.

The worst possible outcome is you lose confidence after losing your first bet right after you decided to go real because you already have good result on paper betting. There’s no fix strategy on sports betting unlike trading that there’s TA using indicators. The only strategy on sports betting is to rely on statistics of the team and hope that they can perform the same as predicted to them based on their previous performance.

For me of course I will gamble and risk money directly on real bets, not demos, I think demos only provide theoretical value, I like in gambling a real challenge, not paper, I think we generally know about sports, especially football, boxing, basketball and so on, if this type of sport is being bet on, in my opinion there is no need for a demo, straight to the point it seems more profitable.

My understanding is sports gambling, the understanding is different from other gambling such as slots, plinko, blackjack and so on, maybe you need a demo before jumping straight in, but sports doesn't seem like that, sports is more about real life and is understood.

Is this not a wasting of time? Although it could be a good way for beginners to learn about some gambling strategies without risking money but this doesn't necessarily replicate the emotional aspect of real gambling. The moment real money is involved, people's behavior can not be controlled again. I see it as a waste of time because there is no real money to be won even if you got it right on paper and sports games are not computer based games where you expect the event to repeat itself. Sports games is real life game and it's better you utilize the chance when you can than to draft on paper with no impact.

The same could be said about demo trading accounts, but instead traders consider them very useful tools that will allow them to familiarize themselves with most of the aspects real trading will present to them.

So if that is true for trading, I do not see why the same train of thought could not be used when it comes to sport betting, now with that being said, if you have no intention at all to become a professional gambler, and you just like to bet to have some fun, then you could be onto something and this could be a waste of time for that person.

I appreciate your point and indeed as long as no real money is involved the impact of the game is less understood as compared to wagering money on a casino and then eventually losing it. What I feel is that it can make the person aware of how the game works and that is almost everything about it. Paper-trading on the other hand might be something that every trader needs to do in order become a future trader and not someone who goes FOMO.

It may help in diagnosing those who are prone to getting addicted, but I might be thinking longshot, professionals in these fields might have a better opinion about further research.

Okay, so gambling without using a real money might be differenet from gambling that you risk a real money, but paper betting* is still very useful to us gambler as we test the water before we actually do gamble. If your result is positive, meaning profitable, that means you are good at choosing the winning bets, but of course it doesn't replicate your actual experience, however, since you have achieve positive result already it is a good sign that you can achieve that when you are in actual  gambling, you just have to control your emotion and be discipline all the time.

I see nothing wrong in using paper to practice, because one may do so just to know if this aspect of gambling or betting is and will be a favourable venture once started with real money.

Only the more passionate bettors will be able to understand what it is they are actually doing and be able to explain to anyone interested party because real emotions isn't involved but the knowledge of the game to be bet or gambled on, will be clear and visible during the predictions on paper.

Still, there's much truth in the sense that paper betting might be a waste of time because the betting apps are simple enough to navigate without even placing a bet and even if one just wants to know the final results of matches or games, upon making personal predictions, there are live score apps that tell the results and as such one can know if what they predicted in their mind is sure or not.

It's good for someone who hasn't started b getting real money before as they are learning and analyzing teams and athletes. But if you already tried betting real money which you already learned watching bet pickers because you have cut corners from the beginning then the thrills are already within you. Gamblers always seek to satisfy those thrills.

And the bigger the amount wagered the more satisfying the result for them when they win.
