The video is hysterical. I thought you will throw it to the flame immediately but the axe part is satisfying to watch. I was actually on the brink of doing it when they first announced the recovery plan but I simply can’t due to its cost.

I have a ledger but I have used only as collectible. I gave one away as gift some years ago but I regret it... unfortunately it's more of a decorative element than anything else.

one of the best alternatives (if not the state of the art) is to use the glacier protocol to set up your cold/paper wallet.

This is a hardware wallet, although it can be considered a collectible, would it have been better to open it in the dedicated section?

Let me give an idea to first freeze it in very low temperature and than smash in with hammer.
After this you can add it into liquid acid of your choice, or put it onto hot melted metal.
This is similar scenario like the scene with T-1000 Terminator, but ledger totally deserved it.

What about attaching the Ledger to a lead weight and catapulting it into the Ocean?

If you have access to hydraulic press. You can slowly crush this Mofo Ledger by pressing it slowly and lets how it will burst on pressure press.
