This means that for basic necessities there is no way out, we are required to keep shopping. Meanwhile, on the other hand, such as the desire to buy goods because they follow a trend that is going viral, we can hold back as much as possible until the economy improves. If we are too wasteful it can destroy our own economy. It can be understood that not all of these things can be endured, there will still be other urgent needs that encourage us to spend money on shopping.

Well the world won't adjust to us; we're the one to make our own adjustment. Majority, if not all countries, are highly affevted by inflation which make things expensive. If you are an average salary earner, you will be left with choices; adjust your expenses or increase your stream of income to maintain an existing lifestyle. When it comes on needs and want of course we know what should be prioritized. But if you have your own ways to pursue both of it at the same time then that would be better. This is also the reason why many people are doing 2 or more jobs on this day simply because they know that they have to cope up with their life situations.

As you said, everyone has their own personal preferences, such as buying goods to support their work or business. Besides that, if we are the head of the family, then we also pay more expensive education costs for our children. I think everyone in every country has felt the same thing, maybe just at different levels. What is clear is that we have to be really wise in spending our money.

we have to be careful on how to manage our resources. we should be Wise enough to balance between the income and our expenses. For instance, you can decide to cut down or reduce the number of things you buy in order to balance between the two sides especially when you realize that what you are getting as income has not increased and the price of what you are buying has increased. for example, if you do buy three items with three dollars before, and suddenly it goes up to three dollars per each, then, you can decide to reduce the number of the items to one and manage it like that and life continues.
Just keep it in mind  always that in life, we don't always get what we want and by so doing, you will have rest of mind. since that's the nature of life, you are the one to adjust your self to the direction of life.

Some people find it weird when they see people keep on spending money on things that recently used to cost cheaper. One of the reason why I am not surprised with it is because it sometimes turns out that people have plenty of money. They arent hidden millionaires, but many have savings. I have noticed it first during covid. When borders were closed, people who used to travel 2-3 times per year had unused money. People always try to save during year for a summer or winter vacation. Now they have those spare 2-4 thousands to spend.

Also I notice that previously used car market was quite busy. Now people still need new cars in their 5-15k price range, but used car trading areas are either empty or filled for 1/3 only. That is quite an imbalance in economy. Shortage of import; people have money to spend. This is why I am not surprised when people keep on buying expensive things. Those who have little money, their spending habit hasnt changed much. Those who have money, dont know how to spend them.

That's why some motherfucking manufacturers out there push out monopolies to make sure that they control the market and jack the prices up against the common joe's wishes. Take for example insulin, which is a commodity that a huge portion of people in the planet needs so badly to survive another day on this planet, because only one company controls the insulin at least in the US, they can jack the prices up whenever they want and people will not have a choice but to complain, but buy that shit anyway. It's exploitative, yes, but it's a testament to how you can't force people to just adjust.

I for one do not condone adjusting your lifestyle for the sake of not spending more money if it can be helped. You can open yourself to even larger earning ventures out there without hampering your lifestyle, so why suffer just so you can get by?

In my part of the world atleast, people have stopped spending. They are buying the basic necessity and ignoring the rest. There's inflation on everything and the market has been on a depression. There are no crowds in shops and malls. Businesses are closing. Real estate prices are high and haven't decreased but there's no one buying. Even people who have money aren't spending and are saving. The stock market is slow, there's no bull or bear but the confidence is low. People are not buying stocks.
Banks are decreasing their interest rate as liquidity rises. But there are not enough people willing to take loans even on low interest rate. Not sure how long this trend would remain or we are in this situation for ever but most people are barely surviving on salaries and pensions.

You've got a great point here and it's something I've been noticing as well.  Personally I try and take a stand against price gouging, and as you point out, if businesses keeping getting ..business, ,at higher rates, then why the heck would they ever go back.  This is what pisses me off when people will just go a long with it, which sets a trend and thing will likely never change back.  So many examples of this from resteraunts to sports tickets and on and on.

You observed correctly in the area of restaurant that touching, this has cost allot of under feeding as cutting cost has to come in in other to maintain one savings.
Some policy by government is not help to mitigate issue of price rise mostly once it has to deal with food market, for the sports I know it can be some how regulated if they have low turn out for the sports but food can't work as people can't stopped feeding.

The business tax should be reduced by government to help they have regulatory power over some hike on price of good mostly consumables.

The cost of cooking a meal isn’t comparable with eating at a restaurant. We should note that a restaurant is different from a fast food joint.
The cost of living is obviously not it was a decade ago. You rightly noted that despite the cost of food, people still eat at restaurants and afford to splurge money on other things. It would be difficult to save enough money to invest in anything cause they obviously aren’t earning enough. Strive to earn more and there would be something left to save after settling expenses.

Any war will indeed affect the price of a commodity because there will be a reduction in supply and demand will be very high because only a few will be able to supply because of the destruction and the rest. and the increase in commodity prices is currently a global problem, even countries that are not at war are facing the same challenge of high commodity prices. And if you talk about the rich, they even spend more because of their lifestyle. and is not everything they will tell you, the only prayer should be that we don't stop earning.

I think saying if someone can't save its because they are not trying hard enough isn't always apply to most of people there's something called sandwich generation which need to take care of their elderly, need to pay up for their brother/sister tuition fee and so on that even only left very few money in their pocket by the end of the day, if we are talking about saving of course most of people that are under the poverty line really want to save up maybe to increase skill and getting into university for the sake of opening up that opportunity to become better in the future.

An average person who is not  making money to take good care of his feeding and accomodation can not afford to save up for investment and some people are already tired of complaining because the hard life of feeding from hand to mouth has become the other or the day for them as the government is not doing anything reasonable to tackle the case of inflation that has taken over the whole of the economy. You can only get an extra pay if you are opportuned to get an extra job but what happens if you live in a country where the rate of unemployment is high how would you survive.

Supply should adjust to greater pricing unless the value is lacking also, the ability to create more of each crop required should be possible if the money justifies that course.   The main deal with food and commodities overall is the spike in demand short term which is where nobody can meet the amount of supply required for that demand, often that occurs with a poor harvest like Chocolate has this effect currently I think.
