This is a question for everyone. Does anyone here know if online slot providers organize player focus groups to test their games before the final launch? If you have participated in any of such focus groups kindly share your experience here. Start sharing from the selection or recruitment  process to the conclusion of the project? I know that physical casinos do invite players  for a focus group to try out new games during the design phase, I don't think that I have seen any of such for online casinos.

Most casino's does that within themselves let say within only the team member to find if there were any bug before finally launching it, we can call that devnet and whatever they finds out can easily be handled before mainnet. So it's very hard to find a casino seeking for people for a bug report except those that are inexperience in the field of gambling and gamifications, maybe there could be a special people who specialized in such services after which they could launched.

I don't think the casinos are hiring external agents to test the games, is not a smart move at all for 2 reasons:

1.-The game by itself can be leaked.
2.-They already have a huge team that can test the software. So, no reason to pay more people.

I'm not 100% sure how this works, but I'm sure is a 100% inside process, but I understand your point and it would be awesome to have a job like that and be the first guy playing the bran new slots.

I don't think anyone could participate in that phase, but yeah, every website, not just casino games, but anything that has a website or application, such as games or software, has a phase where they will do beta testing, or testing phase. Most of those companies or creators have their own teams of testers to see rooms for improvements or see bugs that they need to fix before the official launch. Sometimes they also hire external testers, but of course with some credentials. Normal people cannot participate in this kind of thing unless they have connections or credentials. Even if they do testing for users or user testing, they will still hire someone with credentials and knowledge about technology, for example, IT graduates or professionals. But maybe some companies will do testing for the public, or what we called "open beta" or "open testing," but it is rare it is mostly done by big companies.

I have not heard of such campaigns for slot providers, and I do not think that they would consider hiring external agents to test the games. The process of selecting testers has to be as precise and somewhat confidential, just as application code must remain closed source. These companies work quietly and do not use methods that might draw attention to their method of work and development steps.

Perhaps they also do not need testers from outside the work team, meaning that the developers supervise testing the product themselves. As experience accumulates, it becomes easier even when producing new game concepts.

I think it's all internal for gaming operators and I doubt that they have or will hire outside player groups to test their new games. And yes, most likely the main reason is that they don't want everyone to see it before they go public.

And they spend millions and a lot of hours developing new games, so they are very very careful who's going to see and test it. And most likely those internal test groups might sign for NDA before they can get their hands on this new games. And if you have been in a software company, they have processes and it include as QA/Test group that will do rigorous testing, to find bugs before going into production.

All you have just listed are the answer to his question and I don't need to further explain myself. Expecially number 2 they have large team that will test the software. There is no point to spend money on people for doing what they could do by themselves. And it can be leaked just as your number 1has been said.
