Okay, I found something interesting recently and I've been wrapping my head around it. Solchat—influencers say it's a new way to communicate with each other on the Blockchain, and it's built on the Solana chain.
You know how apps like WhatsApp are controlled by someone or a company? Solchat isn't. It's powered by users and is censorship-resistant. It also supports phone calls, video calls, and a lot of other functions.
Seeing the latest trend on Solana, what do you think about Solchat? Genius or not?

Utter garbage. Once again, why would encrypted chat need a blockchain? There are ton of
peer to peer encrypted messaging services, and some of them are even open source.
"buT tHe bLoCkcHa1n mAk3s iT m0re sECuRe" you say? No it doesn't. It makes it unneccessary bulky, needlessly expensive and complex and pure unnecessarity of it means that it has less changes for any kind of adoption. Because why would it be adopted over free open source versions?
Greed gets people easily blinded like they did during ico frenzy. They see the product, like someone claimed to have invented a wheel. Even though wheels exist, now they have to exist in the blockchain to work? This must be some kind of jealousity because meme coins are rising. So surely some garbage would make more gains as they have real world use cases, unlike memes. Get a grip people. They are selling you this because they trust that you never fully understand what blockchain is for.
