Learning to handle losses early on is a good sign that you will be a successful trader in the long run. At the beginning encountering losses is inevitable. It is part of the "tuition" you pay to improve on your risk management strategies. Do not fall into depression because of this is also a learning curve. Since you watch a lot of YouTube videos on trading, expand your preferences to include an expert doing live trading. The more trading knowledge you have, the better your trader experience will be in the market.

You trading doesn't mean you can't have a long-term portfolio. You can do both trading and investing(as most successful people in this space do).

Don't focus with the hype, just continue learning the indicators and know how to properly used it.

Trading is not an overnight success or money machine, it will take time before your really earn good profit. You started with a good amount of capital for the beginners, now you have to do your best to protect that capital from any losses.

The dogwif was extremely rare of a probability that it would make it big. So rare that the developer sold everything for like $50k instead of holding for $20,000,000.

No one really knows which coin is going to pump, and those that claim they do are either lying or deceiving themselves as well, so forget about those coins as there is no future for you if you try to chase them.

What it should worry you is that in just a single month you have lost 40% of your capital, and if you do not change this you will lose the rest during the next two months, so the first thing you need to do is to learn about money management, as this will allow you to minimize your losses, and given enough time, it will also allow you to obtain the most profits out of your correct predictions.

It will take years of experience to become a "good trader". Even if you do become a good trader, its not like you will be making profit every day. There will be days where you will be losing a lot. So be glad you lost only $40, not your whole capital. And if you want to get good in trading, don't invest and trade those "random" coins. You will most likely lose more when trading those coins. Since they are very volatile, your risk is also going to be  high. But your profit is also high if you get somewhat lucky. Stick with those well known and top performing coins like bitcoin or ethereum. Start small, understand the market, keep learning and you will eventually succeed. If you lose money, don't give up hope. Instead, try to understand what went wrong.

You FOMO bought at top, panic sold at bottom after the pump game is over, it's how you lose 40% of your initial capital ($100).

I feel you were too quick to start using your real money to trade. Don't be offended, but let me put it this way: the main reason you started trading is to start making a quick profit. This is because you started a month ago, and I am certain you have no or little experience. What you should have done was to begin with demo trading instead of using your real money.

You started trading from a month ago, It's nothing in crypto trading. Don't hurry in trading, learn it gradually because it's a long time process to understand market, other technical strategies. there's actually not much advices that can help trading is combination of luck and reading the situation in my opinion but you can easily make profit if you go against the people's psychology in general.
like imagine if the recent dipping that happened this past few days where people are scared shitless that they tried to panic dumping their coin into the market you instead buy right now you probably already making profit which exactly the thing thats im doing.
therefore its just buy low sell high thats the rule but not many people can do that because some people are just mentally fragile and have paper hand so that they just sell when they feel threatened even though thats all just illusion.

Losses is normal when you are new what's important there is you learn some good lessons on why you lose. Also try to set up your expectation on your trades since emotion is our main enemy there. And since you already do some trades there you should always remember that anything bought even if the price is down is not totally a loss especially if you didn't dump your coins so if you experience a decline on your trade much better hold it and just grab new funds to trade the same or other asset so you could potentially bounce back and if the price would pump again on your old bought coins you can recover or be in profit with those coins or token.

Also don't have a FOMO attitude or always listen to someone's hype you should conduct your own research on every trades you do to learn something and can decide which of those coins is currently a best one to trade.

When you are just that totally new then it would really be that normal that you would really be having those kind of emotions on which you would really be having those questions in regarding on whats enough or something that do talks you do have those doubts that you've done something but still ended up on a loss. Of course on which trading isnt a skill that you could really be able to easily learn on which there would really be still tons of things on which you would really be needing to learn. So the key on here is that you shouldnt really be making yourself in a rush on learning things and dont make yourself that too positive

I remember sometime ago when I first started trading, it wasn't really a pleasant experience as I watched my capital burn. Thank God I was able to manage my emotions so as not to hurt myself further because I invested quite a huge amount of money.  After a while, I got to realise that having losses is normal for a trader, especially newbie traders. One major reason for losses is lack of proper knowledge and experience.  I wish I knew the things I know now when I first started trading, maybe I might have been able to minimise the losses I incurred.

One month is quite too early to start feeling bad about your losses, this is the opportunity for you to learn from your experiences, gather knowledge from different sources and don't just rely on your YouTube videos. I guess you have the wrong mindset, as in any endeavor, specially trading in a market that is very volatile, you might end up that $100 in an instant. And you are lucky that you just lost $40 yet. And that is the real face of crypto trading, again, it's very volatile and there are many entities, like pump and dump group, (maybe you might have heard about them).

I guess you need more experienced, and maybe treat that $100 as most likely you will have to lose it just to get that needed experience. try to buy and hold first. choose the right assets. If you want to trade daily, especially for futures trading, there is a lot you have to learn and prepare.

Definitely you are a spot trader which is not as risky as future trading. If it is future trading, you will have lost all the $100 as using leverage will tempt you.

Just continue to learn about trading and use the amount of money that you can afford to lose to trade. The more you trade the higher the experience that you will have. No one can predict for sure what will happen tomorrow, they just take advantage of the existing momentum. You are not doing it in the right way. You were not supposed to start trading first and then try to learn whole doing that because the first step should be learning. You joined a month ago, and you have started trading already, which means that you didn't focus on learning at all because as far as I know, one cannot learn everything in a month and become able to make trades after it.

What you need to do is stop trading for now, keep watching videos and reading from resources around the internet to make your base strong, then get into technical stuff, and once you have learned everything, practice it with a demo account somewhere to see if you have learned everything and remember it all. If you see good progress, then you can start making trades again.

I think a lot of people lose money when they first start out, that is just how it is. Work towards making more later on and learning more and be better. I don't know how long that you have been learning trading before you started trading with money, I think you just start trading and for me I think the money which you use to trade is much for a beginner.  It is always good for beginners to start trading with small amount for them to observe the market and to learn very well with little amount in trading.  As you progress and getting more understanding and experience you can decide to increase the money for trading a little bit, but never forget to trade with the amount you can not afford to lose.

Did you do it in Future trading? If it's, sorry to say, but this is not suitable for a beginner. Due to future trading, if we take the wrong position, our money will fly away. For beginners, this tends to be more about gambling. So, you need a much deeper understanding before entering into trading in the Future market.

What you would have said is that as a new trader don't be in a haste to make money,  do not trade with huge amount of money as a new trader. Demo trading is somewhat that recommended but if i were you it would really be best that you should really be directly going live amount or something that talks about real balance. The only limit you do need to consider is on about the capital that you would be using. Dont make yourself that in a hurry on making huge amounts for you to trade because once you do make yourself directly had big capital then you are really definitely gonna lose it all. Well the did has been done and  I will assume that what happened to you should be a lesson because at some point experience happens to be the best teacher to those that are wiser. You are taking the wrong road to trading. Everyday we have pump and dump happening on many coins. These are not significant because often there are signals groups and all doing this stuff and if you try to get your hands dirty you will get burnt. Focus more on the top 10 coins, bitcoin as the maximum. Dont chase those short term gains, trading is always for the long term.

You learn to analyze the market, try to buy the right coins. Don't rush to trade, be patient and learn more. Hope you too can become a professional trader one day.

You have some nice advice, every beginner should calm down, trading is not what they will achieve in just a moment, it takes time and the length of time it takes depends on the beginner. This is because they are more serious about trading than each other, many of them may be ranting or playing too-know, what shows what they really are in trading will always be their trading performances. Unfortunately, the performance of beginners is always the same, some may try in the beginning but will still fail.

It was so annoying with some beginners when I was also learning how to trade. In fact, no one is lousier than the new traders if they know a simple trick about the market, you will see them making their mouth about it but they will always lose their money back. As a calm and collected person, I like to do my thing without intimidating, but these guys were so intimidating about a little success. In the end, they will lose them back. And the things to know which are the basic and fundamental principles in trading are stop lost point and take profit point that is the entry point and the stop point. You have to k ow them first before any other things. Though you can auto set them, but you need to monitor the market movement. Then another thing you need to do is that you don't have to be greedy and this greediness is the major thing that killed trader. Because they are aiming to accumulate more or bigger profit before stopping the trade and before you know the small amount or the profit you have gotten with the capital you used in the trade would disappear.

So all what you need to do is to take any small profit you have gotten and let it be. I also loss when I have not understood the market.like that.

Stop-loss and take profit aren't the first things one should know when one enters the market, the first thing one should know is how the market works, its movement patterns, and different trading practices, though stop-loss and take profit come trading practices, they are still a bit advanced stuff and one needs to know the basic things first before they get to the advanced tools and management practices.

One more thing new investors and traders need to do is to make sure that they do some research about which trading type is better for them because newbies often get into futures trading right after getting into trading and then they start complaining that they have been liquidated and have lost all their money, it is because futures trading is only for experienced traders, newbies need to start from the spot market.

When it comes to trading what kills first traders is sometimes greed, as you want to gain too much profit from the little knowledge you have , which in most cases does not happen like that, but like you said since you are earning, no matter how little, I will advise you keep it up and also gaining more knowledge and experience at the same time, just give yourself some years and be consistent you will start making more profits,
I used this pattern and I think it's working for me, most times I make losses but like I said for my level I trade within my financial ability, so I don't really feel it because I see it as gaining knowledge and experiences.

I am also a newcomer to this field, but I, for example, decided to start not with trading, but with finding interesting projects in which to perform activities. Of the latter, it was Linea Park. Low costs, activities are quite simple, after the update from ETH, even gas was quite cheap. Among the disadvantages of this area (let's call it drop hunting), you don't know how much you will get, when and if you will get it at all. I'm still learning the basics of trading, but technical analysis is very difficult. I can't even imagine how much time it takes to find your own strategy and make it at least a small percentage profitable.

if i may ask, what coin did you buy?  Did you buy the coin based on analysis or just following along?  Do you know the basic theory of trading?

sorry if above, i asked a question like that, many beginner traders join in the market because they are inspired by someone in the video they watched, even though that is not something that can be followed easily, to become a profitable trader then combine skill + patience + mentality, that's important so what you do is trade, not gamble...

my advice for beginner traders, if you want to learn, choose coins that already have a good reputation, such as Bbitcoin, Ethereum or BNB, so that you don't have to worry anymore about the prices of those 3 coins not going up.
