Op if you're grieved about about the price of cooking gas, also remember that consumable items are essential to everyone which has also spiked beyond silence and so also other products of financial exchanges has also spiked to a highily alarming rates.
So if you're opportuned to meet with our economy legislatures who are in charge of the cost of goods in our society today don't only emphasize on the cost of cooking gas . Haha.
But anyhow, those living in the urban and developed areas where cooking with firewoods and charcoals are not proper to the society and has also scrapped the era or using the lightening cooking stoves are really suffering from the high cost of this cooking gas in question.

I remembered aneighboring family who dumped using the cooking gas for kerosin cooking stove due to the cost of the cooking gas, but not even the kerosin that is as affordable to buy and there was no way she could cook with the firewoods nor charcoals due to the area of their residents.
By finding ways to Cook and eat just to keep lives sustainable in the family, they decided to start using this illegal and unrefined kerosin known as KPO FIRE because the price is manageable to be afforded.
It's just unfortunate to say that this family of 4 got burnt in their apartment due to the chemical attraction of the stored kerosin in the apartment while the stove was on.

To me the government has exposed so many citizens to risks at the cost of chasing to keep lives alive.

This is dependent on our leaders, Nigeria has enough reserve gas, to cut it short, Nigeria is not suppose to be buying a commodity like cooking gas very costly, but it is normal for a country without good regulation policies to face this kind of consumers humiliation, Nigerian consumers protections is just their for know reason, many of them are feeding fact in the expense of the citizen which is very bad, whats the work of NLNG.

it is too bad that  that this evil has befallen Nigeria as a country, a NLNG has a lot of cooling gas that can serve Nigeria at a very low price purchase but the prefer selling to other countries with the same price in Nigeria, op it possible to solve cooking gas  price if the government can come open with truthful and adequate policies to that effect.

I guess that is what this present government are planing to do. I read that PMS will likely reduce in price if the refinery in Port Harcourt is fully functional but I do not know much about about gases. Let us just hope everything will become cheaper. But as of now, dollar is appreciating in price but they may also say insufficient storage for gases can make the supply not to be enough or sufficient and the demand is high which is leading to increase in the price.

is also important to Note that since cooking gas is imported using The United States Dollars,Same will continue to increase if the Nigeria Naira continue to devalue.
Shame on us. The gases are by-products of crude oil. Nigeria is the leading crude oil producer in Africa.

FG have taken various steps to reduce the high cost of cooking gas in Nigeria, it is also important to Note that since cooking gas is imported using The United States Dollars,Same will continue to increase if the Nigeria Naira continue to devalue.

If there are ways to lower the price of cooking gas, but the government lacks the political will to put them into practice, then those ways won't cut it. And that presents a significant challenge because the government must weigh a wide range of conflicting interests and priorities. In order to make cooking gas more accessible and inexpensive, the government should also consider lowering or eliminating import tariffs on the fuel. Enhancing the nation's trade balance by lowering imports and raising exports would help the Naira's value, which is one of the factors contributing to the exorbitant price of cooking gas. This is something the government could do to assist.

I'm not sure cooking gas is imported, we have natural gas in Nigeria and we have LNNG in bonny Rivers state that processes gas for local use and export some. Most of the power plants in Nigeria are gas turbines and are basically extracted locally.  I believe the rising cost of cooking gas is as result increase in transportation, especially from dealers to suppliers and is basically caused by fuel subsidy removal. How the government intend to fight the rising cost is what i cannot phantom, because will they be fighting the cost of transportation and the multiplier effect of inflation that has affected those of them that are into the business.

I don’t see any price going down until it is been controlled by the government, although this price is not like the goods, it has to be controlled. In price of gas should go down then you are saying that the government should bring back the subsidy which may not be possible for now, but with time it may be possible, the must important things is our government should look into how the price of gas in keeping people in hungry they will start looking into it

The solution of this thing just dey easy, I remember one certain time them creat thread here concerning using waste product to construct gass. And that thing na one important thing we for don dey pratice by now. the cost of gas for gas station for don reduce. When them say person fit use toilets suck away connect to gas burna dey use am light in stove and yet people no take am seriously. If people take that thing serious dey build am for almost every house, the price of gas for come down. But since people no dey pratice am Naim make price of gas still dey cost. The local gas power plant using toilet na something wey be say E no need much thing self because almost every house for Nigeria get toilets wey dem fit connect am dey use free of charge, but yet people dey take am play. If only dem fit dey serious about am, things go change rapidly.

As long as Dollar is involved am not sure it will come down anytime soon, it's high time Nigerians sort for alternatives because we depend on imported things too much, how can you be importing gas when you are an oil producing state, with plenty refineries, I mean what do you expect,  you sell crude oil to people, you still go to these people to import gas,
It's high time we start manufacturing and patronising our home made products so we don't feel all these Dollar rising rates, we depend so much on imported products, that's why dollar keeps bullying the Naira

The government keep making alot of promises on the refineries especially the one wey dey ph wey government don suppose finish since last year. So as long as Nigeria government still dey carry crude go refine outside and carry dollar take pay for the transaction, things go still dey high, make we no feel say one aspect of the economy suppose dey cheap and the other go dey on the low, no because na one economy since you buy things expensive you too go put money for your own product to cover cost. As fuel high, I don know say e go affect every other products coming from crude oil, so make dem fix the refinery then running cost go drop.

Well that's the result of everyone trying to exploit the changes for or to their advantage because I believe we as the citizens are also part contributors to this mess that is widely absorbing and eaten deep into the minds of most Nigerians . I remember very well that the price of cooking gas isn't the only thing that has gone up that has still refused to drop, there  are the different things that have gone up but have failed to go back to it's normal price and I also feel another reason for this , is because the country lacks poor agency that's responsible for price control value and figure in the country.

In Nigeria once the price of goods and services goes up it's difficult for it to return to its normal price even if the factors that affects its hike have adjusted. The price of goods are not controlled or regulated by government. Sellers and producers of consumers goods are allowed to peg their prices to satisfy their greedy urge, the only thing that makes them to readjust the price is by other competitors or by other market factors. Nigerian government have to take price control seriously because human beings are very greedy and in any market that they are allowed to peg price on consumer goods, where the high demand surpass the supply there will always be a strong urge to take advantage of consumers. The government should regulate our market so that sellers and producers of  consumers goods will not take too much advantage if there are hike in goods.

Before going to far in thinking on the possibilities on seeing the price of the cooking gas come down, why not we begin with seeing the economy get balanced and other things that could cause the rise of the commodity items in the rise to rise have been dealt with such as petrol price, cement, rice and minimum wage increase, when these had been solved, the general market will go down and deflates, then government have to set out its agencies on the control of price to ensure nothing is being inflated by the people.

Nigeria is the only country I see that when price of things goes up its so difficult for it to go down instead it keep increasing. I remembered the first time I started using gas. I refilled 3kg of gas at the rate of 1,050 that is #350  per kg. But today to refill 1kg of gas is #1,300. So I don't see the price of cooking gas coming down. If only our dealers will understand when there is reduction in the price of their product and also try to bring the price down to the buyer it will gradually come down. But as long as they still that medium as a means of making more money it will never come down instead it will go up.
