You could literally get that from joining a club, or even taking an outside stroll and talking to random strangers at the park, you could also get that from friends and family! Winning Life-changing prizes? Join a fucking raffle that doesn't require you to put in hours and hours as well as hundreds of dollars to even get a sliver of chance at winning. Plus how is that even a fucking benefit lol, not everything that's great in life is money. Boosting confidence and skill development? Need I say that you could get this just by socializing like a normal human being?

There's literally a lot of reasons to not choose gambling, don't make it as if you could only achieve this thing from spending hundreds of dollars every time you gamble just to achieve these things. I created a similar topic three years ago on this forum, I will like to quote it, so new forum members can read it to their benefit as well.

From self evaluation and the evaluation of a few gamblers around me, i have observed that over time due to gambling activity, some characters worthy of emulation have been unconsciously developed by some.

Some of the characters that i have observed from the life of a few core gamblers around me and myself are;

-Development of Risk taking ability; to win big in life, you must be willing to try, and gamblers have so developed their risk taking ability.

-Development of the ability to quickly let go of things and move on; Dwelling on the past and the possibility of "what could have been" is really not healthy and it can weigh you down and distract you from "what can be". Good thread I must say, and a good gambling testimonial, gambling have not brought any positive or light into my live as of the time of typing this comment, but I still agree with all that the op said, most especially the number 5, which talks about overcoming adversity.

I have personal had friends in the past who were literally no bodies, they did  menial jobs to survive, and some time, we all did this menial jobs together, back then, some of them where all in in gambling, while I myself wasn't a gambler, and in order not to bore my readers with the whole story, as of today, two of this my old friends now live overseas, and doing well for themselves respectively, courtesy of the money they won from gambling.

And also, the story of the FedEx ceo is also another one worthy of sharing, that is, how the company (FedEx) was about to declare themself bankrupt, the ceo took the last $5000 belong to the company, flew to Las Vegas and played (I think) blackjack with the money, won around $28k dollars, out of this $28k was how FedEx was able to cancel their initial plan to declare bankruptcy, they carried on with their operations and today, FedEx is one of the top courier companies in the world.
