Crypto drainer scam in heylink.me

This is a bit of a non-standard scam report as I personally haven't lost money to the service, but I know many other people have lost money due to them.  

Since December heylink.me was alerted that on their website scamers were hosting wallet drainers scams.

This was their response when alerted of the issue:


Basically they said you need a paid subscription to their service for contacting their abuse email?  

The wallet drainer is still hosted on their site to this day:

So I don't know what else to say. I just wanted to name and shame the horribly irresponsible service's, heylink.me owners that are perfectly glad to host wallet drainers on their site, without even making a remote attempt to take the malicious content down even when alerted about it. Just stay away from heylink.me at all costs. If a service is willing to cooperate with scammers they're definitely not worthy of your money.

LOL, that #2 requirement certainly wants them to get paid for "faster" transaction. You know that it's kind of a privilege from these platforms and they will certainly encourage people to get faster response from them. But as for them hosting a crypto drainer scammer, they've mentioned it on #3 that they can get investigated but how long does an investigation process? I'd agree that when it comes to these services, they should filter them all. But what can we hope for the likes of these services if Google itself is also swarmed by these crypto drainers, phishing scammers and we have to report them individually just for them to remove them from their search engine.

This is true, I think that if they've received reports already, they have to take action. But with this, this kind of not alarming to them but soon if there will be lots of reports then I guess that's just the time they'd react.

It's also possible but I don't want to assume that they've got connection to them because if they're a service and they're just accepting clients or tenants that will use them, they're just for the money and not for the welfare of the people.

It seems that what you OP attached in the image automated response. Did you contact them via their official contact email or their phone number through this [Link]?

I will also try to contact the CEO and COO through their LinkedIn accounts to investigate this matter. It is worth noting that the interface used in the scam seems simple and a dumb scheme, but it is good to close all the doors of evil if they seem easy. Thank You, OP.

Nice business model! They give you a lending page. You add all your social media accounts, perhaps other websites. Put all together on the landing page. You pay $4.9 USD / month LOL!

Why don't you spend less a year. Buy a cheap hosting and a preferable domain, then host a blog for yourself and continue it. Yearly you will spend less, in the mean time you will have your own blog which have full control for yourself.

Anyway, HeyLink.me type services are okay as long as it's free.

Welcome! I wanted to inform you that they have already responded to the reports I submitted to them regarding the crypto drainer link that you had archived [ http://heylink.me/validation1 ]

After they investigated, it finally became clear that this dishonest client's account violated their terms and policies. They have suspended his account and deactivated the ridiculous scheme he created on their platform. I hope that they will do their best in the coming times to stop the scammers and constantly review what is published, as hosting these scam pages may damage their reputation.

Can you sustain and manage that number of customers with your team and can you be more transparent on how to weed out bad actors from using your platform, It is good that you address this concern promptly.

The reason that they're probably doing all of this is because they've got a cut on the people that are running that link, which means that they're not just unaware, they're complicit to the actions behind it so they should be liable in the case that someone files a complaint. I hope that they'd get reported to the proper authorities, someone has to suffer the consequences of their actions from time to time, people always getting away doing bad stuff to innocent people.

I've changed the post's title to sound more normal based on your response.
I appreciate you coming forward with and addressing this issue. Hopefully these measures will be effective. Sadly there must be at least some success in these drainer scams because every time I've been writing in a public Telegram channel I get messages like these constantly. So it's an issue that has to be addressed from its roots too. No platform should host such pages, no need to make it easy for scammers.

Nice, that was an action that's admirable from you guys. It doesn't matter whether you're a small team but your response to issues like this is really concerning and your action towards deactivating it was even greater. I hope that you make some automatic filtering of links or projects that will use your platform into their sketchy services and scam/hacking attempts to the innocent users out there.

We are a boos-trapped startup: 13 people. That's why we built various automated methods as well as human-checks to deactivate customers that try to exploit the system.
All content pieces that you add on HeyLink.me are being verified, but in some cases it passes our infringement system.
That's why it is a constant improvement of the system.

I wish more people will use their time to create incremental value, but there are many bad actors.
We created a company 9 years ago and HeyLink.me is operational for nearly 4 years.
