That's true, one of the reasons why people like certain teams is definitely betting.  Sometimes, you will even see a person supporting a particular country that they would not care for on a normal day simply because they have cash on the line.  I believe, however, once your team is out, that's the point where you can distinguish between the real fans and people who are not. Some people just watch for the sake of watching football,  whereas others will rapidly shift their support to the side which they have a higher likelihood of winning their bet. It is just fascinating how the tournament attracts true fans and bettors.

I’m curious what the odds were for Argentina to win the match when they were down 2-0. I’ve mentioned the early payout option on Bitz before, and if you’d placed a bet on Egypt with early payout, meaning you’d win when they took a 2-0 lead, your bet would have paid out even though Egypt lost the match. I think that the majority cheered for Portugal because of CR7. But they had to stop their journey in the World Cup and that's an upset for the team and for the fans of Ronaldo. Despite that, Portugal showed heart to it, at the end of the day, Spain was the better team. What I think is a more dramatic exit is when Japan was eliminated, many did like them but they had to exit earlier. The next crowd favorite would have no other than Argentina.

I think, behind the love of every team there is a specific player, which the audience likes. For example: Three legends have already retired in this World Cup. 1. cristiano ronaldo, 2. neymar jr, 3. luka modric. Moreover, all the spectators and fans are sitting to see what Argentina does in today's match. If Argentina lose today, we will see another legend retire. Which may not be so exciting in the next World Cup. However, Japan's farewell match is trying hard and playing great but Brazil confirmed their defeat 20 seconds before the end of the match. However, after this World Cup, I may not see many of my favorite players on the field.

Yes, for each there are those players that's being loved and followed by the fans. And that's why it's heartbreaking to see that their idols breakdown and put into tears. We'll get to see more of these teams soon and for the individuals that are going to play somewhere else.

Anyone can miss a penalty, nobody takes 100% shots at penalty, sure he scores most of the time, but do not expect him to score every single time without ever missing. Mbappe just had a bad luck, he recovered and scored to make them ahead so I think it is not a big deal. I was very happy because France was given a good odds, I thought they would be heavy favourites and return would be bad, but it was not and it was a good return so I was happy that I bet on France to win and they did, a nice little profit.

Actually winning a penalty is very normal and it doesn't matter who the taker is. There is never a 100% chance when taking a penalty but we have a few player who has a very higher percentage when it comes to penalties and Mbappe is one of them. We also saw Messi miss two penalties in this competition already so I wasn't surprised that he missed a penalty. I even think the referee delay on the spot affected him because that usually distracts players when taking penalties. I knew Morocco won't do much, they are just not a match for France because of how strong France attack is.
