Cryptex Finance - thoughts?

I have just come across Cryptex Finance on Coinbase and it is very scarce only 10m total supply and $25m market cap.

Anyone else heard of this or think it could be a potential good investment?

As it is very scarce I may have a small gamble on it

Are you actually bullish on the use-case? Or are you just interested in it simply because of the low supply? Because if it's the latter, then you might not know what you're doing. Anyone can create a scarce, low supply cryptocurrency — but the majority of them can't figure out the demand side.

Scarcity only matters when your investment is a currency/SoV. Scarcity literally doesn't matter when talking about equity-like assets. What you should be looking for instead is circulating supply vs total supply and supply held be the VCs, not scarcity. Not every cryptocurrency's goal is to be like gold/money; most of them are pseudo-equity.

I've known investors that are looking into the supply as an advantage if the project doesn't have that much. If that's your preference, that's fine and it's all your money to invest with.

There are projects that don't have that much supply but they don't really have a say in the market because it's always about the demand.

Sometimes, you can just simply ignore it and as mk4 said, you go with the usecase or utility of it which is much preferred. But again, if you see its liquidity good and have got plans to hold it, you do you.

Yes it's definitely not bad and that's far better than most existing tokens whereas the circulating supply is only 10% of the total supply.

But then again, you're better off focusing on the use cases of protocols rather than the supply. Supply is just 1 thing you should be looking at — not something you should solely base your investment criteria on.

Low supply does not necessarily reflect demand.

Even with a low supply, it would not be in demand
if it truly does not have any value in the first place
however low supply can lead to higher profit returns when
it does indeed get out and its price starts increasing.

If you go back to 2021 when the market was super green at that time the CTX token reached an ATH of more than $40. Take a look at the token price now and you will be able to comprehend that less supply should not be considered a factor to drive the demand. The token is down by 90% which is bad if you compare it with the current market condition. In the last year or so its price has gone up but that percentage is negligible if we compare it with its ATH. I do not think there is any demand for this token and I am not sure why. If you are considering investing in it you would need to first find out why the demand is so low.

I don’t think the market is falling lol if anything lots of people are saying that we are seeing the market in its bullish phase. It is not yet the bull run but it is definitely approaching the official start of bull run and the market is definitely not falling.

As far as I am concerned the market is not yet time to go down, the reason for the price drop is that the market is pointing higher. Looking at the market you can understand that there is a huge demand for coins. The number of investments is increasing due to falling prices. The bull run is not over yet the market will not fall but will go higher.

We are not even at the halving yet so bull run should still be here for another year I understand that.

I was just saying we had a flash crash yesterday but prices have already recovered.

I am just hoping for one more real crash before bull run really starts so I can buy coins cheaper but not sure if that is going to happen.

Good luck. It seems to be cheap and while it's most likely nothing special, it doesn't look half bad either, and in this market it's more than enough, which is a good as any reason to buy, at least for short time investment. Risk is high of course but so can be rewards.

But it's a misconception that scarcity or total supply would be any kind of indicator by itself, and i don't know why people keep thinking it means something. It's only useful to know if you want to calculate fully diluted marketcap 'which in this case is low = good. Or at least as potential to be profitable.) In fact without enough digits, scarcity can be just impractical for any use case.

Low supply coin hype isn't there any more. I can still remember there was a time before 2020 when many projects introduced low supply token because of the market demands. But right now, people don't care about the supply if the valuation is correct. If you are bullish on the projects usecases or concept in the long run then it doesn't matter what the current marketcap in most cases. Bull run is the horizon and most of the new project will rise in price from whatever price they are sitting in.

Cryptex Finance is up 30% in the last 24 hours and holding very strong whilst the majority of altcoins are crashing.

Have no idea why this is does anyone have a clue?

This is the first time I am hearing this and I have not come across it at anywhere. 10 millions is small but small is not the issue how effective is the project? Is there traffic, who is the creator of the coin and what was the purpose of creating the coin. Most of the investors didn't ask these questions and once someone told them that there a cryptocurrency and it is very good to invest and they would talked about the coin or the project to convince people to invest.

And unknown to them that the owner of the project is a scammer and and some months when he gotten what he wanted then the wallet will start having some issues and you coins would get lost. So whenever we are doing as it is concerning cryptocurrency currency or market we should be careful because they are so many scammers are in the space now.
