To fear is a normal human response upon sensing danger, and you can't fault people who chickened out of a possible deal of a lifetime just because they were scared. The tension and the danger of failing is real and you should understand that not everyone's got a risk appetite as big as you, nor do they have the same capacity to shell out a lot of money for said risk taking venture, and happily lose it when the thing don't work out.
