The best advise would still be stick to bitcoin. If you aim to generate multi sources of profits, investing in altcoins might hardly provide that. However, investing in altcoins could make you instantly rich but on the other hand, it could suddenly make you homeless more than you can imagine. Most of the attention are in the big cryptocurrencies right now, but I don't see anything wrong in buying some alts to trade on the spot market just for some more juice aside from bitcoin or ETH. However, always just choose coins that have a lot of liquidity and not just its pricing. You may hold an alt that is priced high but no one wants to buy, and that's a problem because you're technically just holding a bag that no one wants to have at that point.
