The market doesn't seem to go up or down which is hard to assume where it will go from here since looking at the indicators, most of them even BTC are somewhat overbought already.

But if you have to buy, choose the one that has good updates already. FET does have updates recently where they are merging with other AI projects, though it's a positive update, I'm still skeptical. I would just keep my stablecoin still.
Know the right coins to invest. Altcoins are highly risky, so if you want to risk your funds, make sure that you’ll go for those high utility cases in the market. Make a long term planning by observing the altcoins in the market first, until you’ll find the potential coins to invest. And always invest a small amount first. Altcoins are susceptible to losses, at least if you lose you will only lose a minimal amount which is not regrettable at all.

I want to stock up on alts for the spot now. What do you think, should I buy now or should I wait?
Better secure your funds into Bitcoin rather than looking for altcoins. Yes, of course, some altcoins are profitable but the idea of having them now is not a good decision. Why? Just take a look at the current market condition, we are in a bullish state and we know that altcoins never stand high long but sudden and massive drops are very possible.

If I were you, don't force yourselves into buying altcoins. Don't chase on x1000, there is no assurance for that. Better to wait until the market turns bearish again rather than choose to risk your money. Or, consider Bitcoin over these altcoins.
Altcoins are only good to buy when they are at their cheapest price, no matter how high their potentials are. That is because altcoins do not guarantee that their prices will continue to appreciate, unlike bitcoin does. So I  suggest it’s better to wait for the bearish market to take over the bullish market, that way you would not spend too much on altcoins that have no clearer future profitability. And do invest at your own risk, most particularly for altcoins where losing is predicted already.

What I can share about price action these days is when Bitcoin does sideways, altcoins pumping. When Bitcoin pumps, some altcoins pump too or they just stay sideways. When Bitcoin dumps, altcoin dumps.
So, if you think about, Bitcoin is advantage during pumps but some altcoins will pump high percentage, then you can use it as advantage, so choosing wisely altcoin performer is an advantage.

Buy stable coins first so that you are ready if ever you have altcoins to buy on your mind.

Because if you will wait for more dip, it might not happen anymore. We are about to get and enter into the bull run.

For that reason, buy if you can still cheap altcoins that you are planning to have because if you do not and you see them skyrocketing, who would you blame?
You are right that one should keep liquid assets ready at all times but you never know if there won't be any dips anymore because the market is highly unpredictable. We have seen it in the past where the market used to dip extremely low right before the bull run and people used to think that it is over now, there won't be any upside movements after it but then it surprised everyone and went on to create a new all-time high.

Investments in altcoins have always been risky and it always will be, so one is required to do their due diligence before they make an entry in any altcoin because you can't know how good or bad it is just by looking at it in the market and how its price is going up or down.

If you have altcoins in mind and you're confident about those altcoins, then maybe you can enter now, but still, it will depend on what your views are in their markets, because truly now altcoins are also moving in a good way because of the movement of the mother coin, which is bitcoin, but still, there is a risk as it is an altcoin. Maybe you could do DCA in those coins just to be sure and not put all your funds in one coin and one buy only.

Also, focus only on a few or just two altcoins; it's hard to maintain or monitor if you enter in many coins; it will divide your attention, and maybe you will lose track of some of your coins. It's better to handle a few coins than too many; fewer means you can focus on those coins and maximize the potential profit that you will need.
He won't come up with such a thread if he don't have an interest in altcoin. He might still be new here and excited. We can also say that he is confident but it is still better to wait for a much better entry. The market may be correcting now but there might be more to come because we are not yet on the halving and on the actual bull run. Another set of corrections will take place once both events are over, so we can choose to sell during them and gain some profits because it takes a long time for us to see them again. It was on the next 4 years, to be specific. Aside from the fact that a bunch of alts will be hard to manage, many of them are also weak and scams, so there is no point on having them.

Alts are always unpredictable. There are many factors present which affect the price. If you really want to make profits from it, then you have to study various things. It’s always better to go for Bitcoins or stablecoins if you want to make profits with less risk. Moreover many alts follow the Bitcoins, hence if you notice the movement of Bitcoins, then definitely you can make profit by choosing when to buy the alts and when to not.

Having a certain amount of liquid assets ready like fiat money is actually part of a solid money management strategy. In bull runs I always try to build up 10-20% of my total assets value in fiat money. If we have a correction I invest those liquid assets into the market, so buying cheap is the idea. I usually do not do this in one buy, but in several smaller buys, due to you can not really know how strong the correction will be. As soon as the market enters a bull run again, I build up fiat assets again for next correction.
