In recent weeks, we've seen dog 🐕 memecoins making waves on Solana, like WIF, which have given investors considerable gains. However, now I think cat-themed memes have taken over. I've been seeing some on X trading, but one caught my attention: $NUB. It has one of those cat stories attached and looks catchy. Plus, it's already on CEXs like Bitget and Bitmart, and the community is active. I'll keep watching for entries though.

So, I've been meaning to ask, do you prefer cat or dog memes? And which has made you more money?

That's why it's termed memecoin, the craze is there. That's where the fun is. For NUB, a degen posted this at 15m, mcap some time ago. And I just checked now and oh boy, it's on tripple figures mcap rn.

Solana ecosystem already had enough hyped meme project and i don't think more meme project will get hype like WIF, WEN, BOME. Instead the meme hype has gone to avalance from solana and now it is in BASE ecosystem. I do think this hype will continue to travel through other major layer 2 like manta, mantle, zksync. As the meme project evolves, i think it will solidify their position in the industry, and this will channel a lot of money for being highly speculative asset category.

I'm not much of a fan of meme coins; I just study a few of them and risk a few dollars into them, which I also consider gambling with my money to see what can come out of it. 
 
Checking on the price of the $NUB in the last 24 hours, the price has dropped by more than 40% of its 24-hour ATH, which is a great loss for those who might have entered the market at the wrong time.
 
One thing I have studied and understood about memecoins is that they are something we need to carefully consider if you must invest in them, and when you buy a few of them, one needs to make sure that he or she doesn't hold it for a very long time without checking how the price is going.

Definitely dog memecoins will be the preference but I'm not into memecoins and hence I wouldn't have enough knowledge to expansiate on it but with examples of memecoins that I already know with dog stories I think they have lasted a lot in the crypto space than that of cat coins.

Hence it's still not advisable to hold any memecoin for long because they are most of pump and dump coins for a quick profit schemes hence can depreciate to zero in few days or hours.

So if one most be part of it then it should be in a regular watch just as the above person has said, you must have an eye on it every single minutes in order not to go off and loss every thing.

The market is wide enough for every one of us. We should always remember how hard it gets when we have nobody in the system, I'm clinching for more exploring projects, atleast they will put smiles on my face. I've watch myself fold up when I'm not seeing the require profits but there's absolutely nothing to worry about, the market is always present to adapt to yield profits. We should go wide in the market, ensure to touch every areas, I'm ready to expand my positions and includes other sectors that will generates profits.

Solana, is the most accommodating home for this memecoins, I guess that it's good business for their network, and any catchy phrases for the memecoins to gain more investors whether it's cat or dog, doesn't really add any significance to their worth, but if it makes people happy and attracts them to the meme projects, then it's all good for them. It's not surprising that they're trending now, afterall it's bull run building up and people need projects that'll give them returns on the short term, so memecoins is the answer. Let investors just understand that they're pump and dump by nature, and investing in them means gambling their funds.

I can't really say a lot about this, but AFAIK, the dog meme token has proven its worthiness. Look at how the majority of profitable meme tokens were coming from dogs. It's caused by billionaires like Elon Musk, who are also dog lovers. I would rather go to the dog coin instead of the cat coin because history has told us about that.
I think that even you are also forgetting about the pepe token which is also the main part of meme token ecosystem. Pepe themed meme is also very good and i think it's even profitable than cat themed token

I would prefer dog meme token instead of cat meme token. I made more from some dog tokens. I remember that if cat themed meme token is just getting popular this time.
If you are also seeing it from how many ROI made by dog themed tokens and it will far greater than cat themed token.

I have never invested in any of these tokens so I don't even know that they existed because I am not so quick asmt jumping on random projects. There are so many meme projects that are pretty cool to hold in the market but we should be very careful because they might loses momentum and nitbr able to carrte liquidity just like we used to know.
If we are always looking for a project that pump very well the meme coins are good at that but we need to be conscious of the market.
