Wow, this community is becoming fun to you and I'm surprised how you are so excited composing this writeup. Maybe you could add little about Africa too. We all know that Nigeria has the largest economy in Africa and also the most populous in Africa, but I'm just surprised why you decided to remind us once again. I am not here to dispute this wonderful writeup but maybe you can make it a little more straight not like trying to glorify it.

There is no doubt in the statement above that Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa,  but then also I am beginning to be tired to read ops mentioning oil as the only resources in his write despite the fact that in current reality of things, crude oil is no longer a viable mineral resources.

Because developing and developed countries around the world have move away from oil as a means of revenue generation for their countries economic sustainability so for continues growth and to remain the giant of Africa,  Nigeria need to move away from oil as the major source of revenue and start looking inward to other resources that can enable Nigeria to become self sustaining and producing state instead of the correct consumers economy we presently run in Nigeria.

I have seen some interesting documentary films on Television, specially on the Deutsche Welle about how the Nigerian culture and economy is specially relevant west Africa. Probably, two of the most important countries in Africa are Nigeria and South Africa, not even mention there are a lot of people who are from Nigeria and like to participate within the ecosystem of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general.
Even though there are surely much to be proud of when comes to Nigeria, I have also noticed there are many users of this forum who happen to be from that country and highlight the level of corruption and lack of opportunities within the Nigerian society.

It is quite similar to what happens here in Venezuela, I think. Where we have many natural resources, much talent and natural beauty and yet, corruption and selfishness manages to spoil all of it. One can only wish the best for both the Venezuelan people and the Nigerian people.

Yes, Nigeria is a very rich country.  Nigeria has abundant oil and gas reserves.  But still Nigerians and Africa are a very poor country.  Because the people there and especially the leaders cannot use or apply these resources properly.  Because they are full of native corruption.  It is very sad when a country has sufficient amount of natural resources but they are not able to utilize it properly and trade properly and find themselves in various miseries.  Same is the case with Nigerians and Africans.  Their entire system is corrupt.

Praising Nigeria in what they have without harnessing it to use of it's citizens is trying to admit ignorance, Nigeria has all afar mentioned resources but has nothing to write home many acclaim achievement is past glory current I don't think having those resources is any value as few individual has run down the resources and make the nation resources-less.

People called Nigeria giant of Africa, keeps me laughing, it's ignorance to lay hold on past glory all time. I have it before is never a property an can't be. Nigeria has all mentioned resources gold, cold, tin oil etc but country producing coaca palm oil is better than Nigeria is it not something to hide face in shame, even our currency fluctuate every second , there is nothing to boost of what we have as resources.

It’s good to be proud of your country
especially if there really is something to be proud about
but I have noticed that there is an increase of Nigerians
here in the forum so all we really get are posts from Nigeria
and not much from other african countries. It will be good
to hear from others as well especially those with different

There is no doubt in the statement above that Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa,  but then also I am beginning to be tired to read ops mentioning oil as the only resources in his write despite the fact that in current reality of things, crude oil is no longer a viable mineral resources.

I agree with you on the above, the problem that Nigeria is having is old people becoming the ones in power. Why I said this is that, every new technology was discovered by youths which are 50 years of age and below. This is a technology Era, and how do you want this acade old men to understand this. During their youth age was when crude oil was discovered, and they made a lot of money from it, to the extent that all the citizens of Nigeria is more concerned of the crude oil that the country has, than other natural resources.

These old men that was young when crude oil was discovered, and have seen how much comes out from there, are the same people fighting to go back to power so that they can steal the country's fund from crude oil, because that is only what they believe in. They are old and sick leaders that are Nigeria presents both past and present, which is the country funds that most of them was using to threat themselves.

The bottom line is that Nigeria has intelligent and high tech leaders with good innovation that if they are allowed to be in power, other resources would be exploited from, and not putting all your attention on crude oil to steal the money. Until the old and sick people stop to be the president, Nigeria is remain sick and be in an old fashion thinking that only crude oil is the resources to show concern on. Old, corrupt and sick presidents is the problem of Nigeria.

Well, it's a one fact that Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa and also most populated but I find this post very biased about boosting stuffs which everyone know wherein it should rather been showing both sifebof the nation as you have just skipped the paid of ordinary Nigeria citizens due to corrupt leaders and every army which just awaiting to grapple more power and also about desperate people involved in illegal activities. Man just by showing good side of nation doesn't help anyone as we need to emphasize on pain and suffering as this looks more like government's marketing.

It's obvious that Nigeria is a very great country from history and how it has survived over the years, but perhaps it has a lot of bad records in the world that has brought it's reputation down but my question is what's the essence of all the hype here in the forum.
Does it really matter?

If you don't have any other stuff to do you could use this opportunity to learn and read articles than brag about how great Nigeria is here, for the fact that this forum is bitcointalk it's mostly about bitcoin, so you can use all the time to read about bitcoin or if it's better you can go to naija local board and post this thread there or even move it there.

Nigeria, is blessed with natural resources, many languages, very rich cultures and traditions, a country with great minds, intellects that are making great impacts in their different areas of interests and professions, they're very friendly and accommodating people.

The country is called the giant of Africa, but it's a sleeping giant now because of bad leadership, the country has what it takes both human and natural resources to be among the developed countries, and unless the right people with visions to bring meaningful change will occupy leadership positions, the great giant will still be slumbering.

It's all good to know and there's no doubt about it all but what's the rate of living over there in Nigeria? How are those revenues being generated in the country regulated to be productively effective to her citizens and the societies as a whole? How is the governance over there in the country Nigeria? How remarkable can the citizens rate over the infrastructures and the economy regulatory system in the country?
With all Op being pointed out there, I'd say the country is living by pasts glories because in couple of years the citizens emotions hasn't been fair with the regulations in the country. The possessions of the country in the African continents is being a mockery to the Nigerian governments because they're being biased and selfish with their governing system in the sense that the masses are not suited in the country because the lives of the average and poor citizens are not considered or existing to the awareness of the government.
I can also tell you Op that the country is the highest geopolitical corrupted nations in Africa.
If you can't utilize your treasures to be positively effective to your people in concerned then it's not Worth hyping or embracing. That's just the nature Nigeria is.
