[FUN] Can any body predict what Theymos will use for April fool's day tomorrow?

First, let me start my congratulating as many of us who made it through the first quota of 2024, in about three or two hours from now, we will enter the second quarter of the year 2024, which is also the 1st of April, the April fool's day.

And as it is already acustomed to this forum (or so I believe), the boss himself, in the person of Theymos usually come up with some kind of fun stuff, to fool the forum users with.

Last year, on the 1st of April, he came up with this IQ IMPLEMENTATION, where user's are made to answer some questions before they post, and getting the answer correctly increases the user's IQ level, while wrong answer decreases the user's IQ level, it was fun because I did saw some respected forum members who had a very low IQ based on their score.
Those who were already used to this April fool's joke from Theymos every year knew this was one of those jokes, while some new users who thought that was a new implementation on this forum complained about how trying to answer the question correctly wastes their time when posting.. Overall, it was fun.

Right now, I am here and wondering what new idea Theymos will come up with on this year's April fool's day, which is few hours away, can you guess?
Lets try and see who will guess it right, or the person that will get the closest....

It will not be April fool this time, theymos is going to be real. People will not believe that theymos is serious until it is known the following day. Theymos will tell people that he has added new merits sources as many people are waiting for the time theymos will add new merit sources. I think you just ruined the fun. Theymos and other forum members surely have planned something for April 1st. He does something new every year with each year better than the last. What has made this annual event special is the fact that many people forget about the date and focus on the “new development” Theymos has added to the forum. Now everyone is already aware of what day tomorrow is.

What I think about theymos in 1 more hour, the fun will ruin the tension of the forum, I myself can't guess what theymos is doing on this April Fool's Day.

Or everyone becomes merit source. It's alread April 1 now here in my timezone, or few more minutes for the forum. I'm sure theymos won't let us down on this April fools again.

😂 Lol, even with myself being aware of what today is, and starting this thread last night, my heart still skipped this afternoon when I came online and made my first post in the gambling board, I totally forget actually, and after posting, I discovered I had about 880 earned merit, instead of the initial over 1000 I had, and also that I've been downgraded to hero member instead of my legendary rank.

I felt a cooled chill run through my vains for a second for I thought "what possibly could have gone wrong? Or wasn't my profile the one I'm looking at", but then, thank goodness I quickly remembered again that today is April fool's day, I gave a sigh of relief and came to the meta board to join in the fun.

Good one from Theymos this year, and I guess no body actually guessed this was what was coming, haha 😂

It will not be April fool this time, theymos is going to be real. People will not believe that theymos is serious until it is known the following day. Theymos will tell people that he has added new merits sources as many people are waiting for the time theymos will add new merit sources. But do not be fooled, it will later become April fool the following day.

You came close to being right, but then you missed it this time Theymos really mentioned merits but this time not in the way you put it and also far from addiction,  alot of us forum members have seen the extent of Theymos control over the system,  to effect a new merit system feature that is currently demoting almost every body, I could have said this is not April fool but then, I can see some sign and weakness of this new merits adjustment that makes it hard to implement into the forum in real time.

Any way happy April fools day to you all, go out and lie for free but don't commit crimes because police doesn't have April fools on their calendar.

Lol that's the part of the fun that got everyone laughing. My part was when I got up to check my notification bot and was shocked to see that I was banned. I started thinking what possible was theymos planning again this years April fools day. I just checked the forum and saw his ultimate prank lol. I still didn't fall for it. I hope it's actually a prank though  cause image the system could not be reverted alot of legendary members have fallen. I wonder if he plans this ahead of the April fool days because the way he does it, it's well planned and organized. But leeser people are fallen these days as we already know it's no longer a new thing every year.

Hahaha the police is your friend so good luck. Try pranking a police man and getting behind bar for a day after today then ask for your release tell them it's a prank for April fool day.

Haha, I can imagine, and it won't be good honestly, alot of accounts are gonna get destroyed but hey, Theymos did it, he can fix it as well, so, lets just say that, if he has the power to do it, and by the next day, the system refuse to revert or go back to its normal form, trust that he will still know out how to fix it, so no fear here at all.

But this is all nothing but imagination though, for I just checked the forum while logged out, I discovered that the forum is exactly normal like it was before, our earned merits and ranks are in place as they were before today, and this shows that, what we are currently seeing might just be a mirror of the forum which Theymos prepared for April fool's prank, once the  April fool's prank is all over, Theymos will return the forum back to its normal state.

Haha, 😂, I don't think he spoiled the fun, I checked the number of times this thread was read and it's just around 166 times at the time of writing this comment, newbies usually don't give much attention to the meta board,, they are mostly focused in the beginners and help, as well as the Altcoin board.
I myself even saw the original April fools thread before this one, so I can say for sure that no fun was spoiled.

As long as it's a development that comes in on the first of April on this forum,we don't have to take it that serious because it's likely to be on April fool, though many would have taken it personal thinking it's for real, also concerning the guess, many had thought about something similar but completely different from what Theymos use as April fool for this year, that of the merit sources may not have to be on this kind occasion.

You are right, and I agree with you, for the most of us who have been here for a very long time and are already familiar with this trick from theymos that comes up every 1st of April, being The April fool's day, it is high likely that things like this will no longer surprise or shock us because it's something we are already familiar with or used to.
I reached out to a friend of mine who is already a user in this forum, to ask him how he felt with the prank Theymos played on us yesterday, he said he wasnt surprised at all  because he was aware of the date of the day we were in, and he already was expecting Theymos to come up with an April fool's prank.

So, in essence, it's only newbies, that is, those who are new to this forum, as well as those who forgot the date of the day they are in, this are those who will probably be shocked due to believe that what is was happening on this forum on the 1st of April was real.
