In the province of my wife, old men and women are playing traditional card games and I could say the same about how they react after the game. They point to the mistakes done by the other player because there's a strategy where you will let the next player win so that the pot won't be taken by the other player. Draft has been a local game for the elderly in my country for a long time. I grew up watching my old folks enjoy that game alot. They just sit down under the tree and do their thing.Local gambling store are always like that especially the ones you mentioned. Though the youths as we know are very rowdy most times when it comes to gambling and some are irresponsible to the extent that they fight over their loss. I've visited and seen some elders playing the local gambling but it's always very peaceful and they seem to be enjoying the games very much. There's always a difference between the elderly and the young and it's no new thing that they would behave more matured. Same, I think every country has it's own board game similar to chess, and when I was a little I will see these old men gathered on my corner of the streets, and money on the line playing our local board games. I know of okwe, it's an igbo pronunciation and I believe every African person knows the local game, it's also played on board and they have 24 seeds with 2 different colors.

These games are still very much active in the community where I reside. I was passing by the street this afternoon and I saw them as usual the elders playing their game and I greeted them. Those games can hardly be abolished or fade away. There is this enthusiasm I see in them whenever they play those games.
