I am Adil Jutt and I have a Bitcointalk account under username "Adiljutt156"

Almost 2 week ago I got lost my phone and this phone have a Gmail account, Bitcointalk account, password and other data. Due to loss my mobile phone and l also lost the access of my Gmail account before losing my mobile phone few days ago I had changed my Bitcointalk account password and saved in my Gmail account unfortunately I did not remember password now I have been trying for a week to log in my account but I am failed to access password of account. I have put a lot of effort into my Bitcointalk account and have been keep active for 2 to 3 months.I have sent mail which is present in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.0 for change my email address but I did not receive any response and almost 7 days passed and then I decided to create a topic in Meta section that why I create this topic.

Also Thanks God I have a access of BTC wallet address where I have used on Bitcointalk account now I want to change email address to new one, after changing email address I will recover my account. I already sign message using BTC wallet.

Anyway you have to be patient admin takes time and if all all things are verified you will be able to recover you account.

You should not store passwords, seedphrases or any other delicate information electronically. Write them down and store then somewhere safely, they cannot be hacked that way or lost with your phone which you carry around.

Saving your Bitcointalk account in your Gmail, that's bad.

It is worse and terrible if you also saved passwords of your other accounts in your gmail. Because that email account can be hacked too.

Don't store your passwords online in email, in Google Drive, Dropbox and the likes.

You made another bad practice, don't backup your password offline.

You had one place to put everything there, your email. Terrible as you can lose all money, your life if you lose your phone and access to your email.

This is a practical example to learn from. storing password,  seedphrase on phones, online is not the proper place for storage. When people store password on phone they feel so relaxed thinking it is the best place for storing password and when the phone gets missing everything is gone. Written password down as document is better than storing it on a phone.

So good for signing message,  atleast with a signing message OP can get access to his account.

From what I've seen, you'll just have to wait for a reply to that email. Posting here is unlikely to speed things up.

You should not store passwords ~ electronically.

This is what password managers are for. And, for many websites, my browser remembers it too. Phones are terrible for security.

Your story is funny to believe also convincing because you already provided with the signed messaged details, buy obviously you will have to sign in that message and not only by showing the codes, your case also looks complicated because you lost your phone, lose the access to the gmail account as well as loosing the password you already reset on the forum, this is somehow weird and strange all the same time, am not sure if you're the real owner or just trying your luck to take hold of the account from the real user.

The OP, if you look at his post history, also has a computer, and screenshots of some posts were made from the computer. OP, have you also lost access to the forum on your computer? Or were you not the only user in your home, and the entrance was not preserved?

I agree you shouldn’t store wallet seed phrases online, it’s recommended to store them on paper. But for passwords, I like to rely on my memory though a paper backup doesn’t hurt. I only have a handful of passwords I use frequently. One for websites I use occasionally; another for email accounts (I often tweak this one with a few more characters); another for gambling websites and so on. I never repeat the same password I use for bitcointalk or crypto platforms with other websites.

Memory is very unreliable for storing passwords. The brain is an organ and like every organ its functioning level varies depending on factors like age, disease conditions, accidents etc. Committing something important to memory only means you're accepting that you can lose that information at anytime due to any of the above listed reasons.

Hard truth.

You can not regain access to your account if you don't have access to the original Gmail account. Work hard towards regaining your old Gmail account, otherwise you will be wasting time here. One of the ways they can prove that you are the original owner of the account is access to the old Gmail. It's actually the one you are supposed to use to write to the accounts recovery team, otherwise they will just ignore every other email of yours.

That should be sufficient (?) evidence to prove ownership of the account. Although if he signed out on the computer then the cookie would be invalid.

He does not have access to the original email address, which is probably the most important requirement if you are to stand a chance of having your account recovered. Back in the day, a hacker got into my account and changed the email address and password. I didn't have any staked BTC address but what saved me was access to my original email address.

Between, admin and mod might be very busy to respond to you so quickly as you have think it. Then I will encourage you to have another device where you will store your personal information and keep the device at home while going out to avoid completely losing access to you important information.

It's so sad to see this happening to another person too because not too long ago, a friend of mine complained to me that he has actually lost his password to his account too and he was actually thinking it was hacked or maybe the password has been changed but it all a mistake from him because he didn't save the password on any password saver app so as to get access to it when needed and the worse part of it all was that he also lost access to the email which is too bad and after seeing all this happen, I quickly had to learn from his error and rectify or lose end from my own account and anything that has to do with password accounts be it social or financial apps.

Unfortunately this is also not possible to reset Gmail password I tried to forget Gmail password this error show me "You didn't provide enough info for Google to be sure that this account is really yours. Google asks for this info to keep your account secure." but I did not attach any authenticator and mobile number

I know whatever happened with me is stupid and funny. But I am telling truth

Yes it is true I run a node on my computer but I did not attach my bitcointalk account or gmail account to my computer because of malware viruses. I join different airdrops and sometimes download third party apps from browser to perform tasks and  also connect my gmail account and wallet to different sites.

If your account is recovered with that email, you're already putting your account at risk. You should instead sign another message, with another email address and send that only to the recovery email address, not here on this thread.

Both mails will be viewed same time and the latter will take priority.
