The danger of losing your money on the Solana blockchain is no different from other networks. But everything will depend primarily on yourself, so if you do not connect your wallet to questionable sites, then accordingly the risk of losing your money will be zero.

But if you need to cancel authorization in the Solana chain wallet, you can use a well-proven service - https://control.app/approve/sol

I have not interacted with Dapps on Solana as of now but I understand it works the same as other blockchains. If you do not revoke the Dapp it can still drain your wallet. I found an article on Magic Eden and it is about Revoking token approvals on Solana. You can go through it and decide accordingly whether you need that tool mentioned in the article.

Yes thats right. Ive never much interacted on many solana dapps cause I know some of them are risky. I only used solana wallet on reputable projects or proven legit dapps or airdrops. Im not a sol maxi but currently doing some memecoim hunting and shitcoin trading so Ive got some precautions too when dealing with one. The level of danger like other network is the same cause some of these scammers are also lingering to solana too.

It’s important to understand that all Dapps have their risks. Even if it is from solana or not, dapps still have high chances of having your money stolen so it is important to take extra precautionary measures. You should not worry too much if you are sure that you are dealing with a legitimate dapp and you have done extensive research about that particular dapp.

Your cautious approach is a good strategy to safeguard your funds, however as far as I know there are not  widely know revoking tools available on Solana network as on Ethereum based networks. Solana"s network is different compared to Ethereum, and and can impact the development of such tools. The best way to protect your wallet from being drained, the primary focus should be on verifying trust worthiness of dApps before connecting your wallet.  is to ensure the dApps are tru worthy before connecting your wallet.

As far as I understand Solana Dapps risk is a bit high in the age of internet scams are increasing here. They are usually designed specifically for time-sensitive applications, so Dapps do not ensure security and privacy effectively creating hijacking tampering and message forgery. Before using these Dapps the market should be researched well. Taking precautions will reduce the risk.

if a blockchain requires approval for token spending for smart contract to spend your token on behalf of you big fat chance it will also require you revoking approval for security purpose I think solana is no different, if i remember correctly when using reputed dapps from solana they also requires you to give approval of spending on behalf of you so that they can execute their smart contract method like jup if im not mistaken so yes it requires you to revoke but honestly you will be fine if you never give approval of infinite amount and as long as you only interact with reputed dapps you're gonna be fine.
people are losing money because their wallet drained through this approval, giving some random malicious contract code spending authority on behalf of them and then the contract drained the wallet of all token.
unfortunately this kind of mechanism needed in any dapps that requires to control your token so they can do things.

Absolutely, trust in Decentralized applications (dApps) is crucial, and it is equally important to exercise caution and diligence. While blco chain technology offers security benefits, dApps can be still vulnerable due to coding errors, hacking attempts and fraudulent schemes. Additionally, we should also consider employing Multi factor authentication, implementing multi signature system to safeguard our funds from theft.

There are certain bugs that can be used to drain one's wallet, whether it's on the Solana or any other blockchain. Scammers are so smart that they upgraded at every level, so since Solana is the new game, I believe they will also find their way there.

The only thing is that if you feel like you should revoke your address, then you should, because threatening sites could have been used with or without one's notice. So we have to be very careful with whatever we do with the internet. Even though it's claimed that a particular network is free from bugs, it's still not a guarantee.

i can see this is already dragging the price down. i saw another post on credit about some dapps causing this so it's not going to be farfetched to see your tokens drained.

i have the feeling the dev is not responding and that this is part of the fud. to sell or not to sell? that is the question.
only a few days later and having will be here. and so there is time to decide whether to go all in BTC and stick to SOL. different POV will likely make us confuse but it's never wrong to stick to BTC.

I clicked the link you posted and the Very first part says that “Disconnecting Dapps doesn’t revoke any contracts”. So it’s pretty much just like Ethereum where you need to manually revoke any approvals or you can get drained one day.

It’s too bad it’s not as easy as just disconnecting the Dapp, because it’s a pain to have to revoke for every site that you use, especially if you use it frequently.
