Bitcartel is a core contributor and primary maintainer of the Scash project. Scash is an experimental cryptocurrency project launched in February 2024. It is a fork of Bitcoin Core and integrates Monero's RandomX Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm, enabling ASIC-resistant mining on ordinary home computers. This design aims to restore Satoshi Nakamoto's original vision of decentralized and accessible mining, addressing the centralization issues inherent in Bitcoin's SHA-256 PoW algorithm, which is dominated by specialized hardware.

A few weeks after the creation of the Scash project, Bitcartel returned project operations to the community, implementing a self-governed, decentralized approach. Although Bitcartel has relinquished management and operations, it continues to share suggestions and ideas about Scash on Twitter and DC.
