Subriel is one of champs that is also avoided by many fighters. Liam wasn't accepting this fight in the beginning, it was rumored to be Elvis Rodriguez so he wasn't ducking Subriel after all. Although Paro is also undefeated, I think Subriel is too much for him. But he is a decent fighter that could give Subriel a run for the money.
Any of these two can beat Garcia but Tank, it's an uphill battle.

I don't think he can take out Subriel, Liam Paro's fame came when he knocked out Montana Love, other than Love there are no big names in his resume, Subriel Mathias will just knock this guy out, he may be strong but Subriel can take a punch as we have seen in his last fight against a hard hitter Ergashev.
Subriel is a pressure fighter who loves to take so he can give his own because he believes in his power, after Subriel beats Paro he can set his eyes to unify the division.

A couple of years ago Paro was already ranked #1 by the WBO. I thought he was going to fight for the vacant belt when Josh was thinking of moving up in weight. But later on Teofimo replaced him at #1 and then fought and won the belt. Paro is fucked up in the rankings and even dropped outside the top 10 in the WBO's March ranking. Now he is finally getting his title shot but in an odd way, he is travelling to Puerto Rico where it is rare to see travelers win. I'm rooting for him but I guess he will get KO'd here. Hopefully, there is no Rican official in the fight to make it fair.

I don't think that he was avoided by many fighters, it's that the incentive is not there as he is not well known. Paro is just a step up fight for Matias, and if he could win here then the whole 140 lbs will take notice and he could get some unification fights. So it's good for him, at least his name is already there and the boxing media is hyping him. But I don't think he can beat some of the champion like Teo Lopez or Haney.

If my memory serves me right, he suffered a injury for more than year, then come back and fight Montana Love late last year. And so with that win, he is line up to fight Matias for the IBF title and it's good to see him back and given the chance at the belt. Going to be a great fight, Matias name is hype right now, but this is going to be a big test for him as Paro is also a heavy hitter with more than 60%+ knockout ratio. I guess his team is willing to travel to PR not known to be a hostile country though, so I guess the risk is worth for Paro.

It's always great to see fights between undefeated fighters challenging for the title, I became an instant fan of Subriel after beating Ergashev I thought then that Ergashev was a better fighter and was more powerful than Subriel but it turned out Subriel is the strongest. I like Subriel's style he is a pressure fighter who loves to take just to give his own, he will dare you to a slugfest, and then leave the better man the last man standing, this is the kind of style the boxing community wants to see. I think he can take Paro, and since it's going to be held in Puerto Rico that's additional motivation for Subriel to beat Liam Paro.

Liam Paro is undefeated but his challenge is with a boxer that has a 100% KO rate. Though Subriel Matias is not undefeated but his record is very scary. As the poll suggest, everyone thus far is rooting for Subriel Matias and I think there will be no excemption here, Subriel Matias might still win by KO or RTD as that's the outcome of his last 5 fights.

It's Matias style, unconventional, has a relentless pace and there are times that he won't throw many punches and preserve his energy, but when he smells blood he will go for it. Another thing is that he is a slow started and so Paro should look at that and take advantage of it. But it's Matias homecourt so expect that he will want to go for a knockout and impressed his fans here. No odds yet listed from our favorite sports bookies, but I'm seeing that Paro will be like 3:1 or 4:1 underdog is this fight. And I would agree if that is the odd as Matias will smoke Paro here.

Matias isn’t undefeated but he has already avenged his only loss and still has that impressive 100% win by KO ratio. Puerto Rico was once a hotbed of boxing but since Miguel Cotto retired, the island has been searching for the next great champion. Matias is in a division where if he can beat the other champions he will become a big star.
We’ve seen recently that fighters from Australia, such as Tim Tszyu, Kambosos, and the Moloney brothers, are always very durable and tough to beat. I expect Paro to win some rounds but his success will be limited. Matias’ power will just be too much and will eventually break him.

Puerto Rico was once a hotbed of boxing but since Miguel Cotto retired, the island has been searching for the next great champion. Matias is in a division where if he can beat the other champions he will become a big star. Subriel Matias can claim that he is the new face of boxing in Puerto Rico, because of his dominant showing in the Ergashev fight if he impressively beats Paro he will have more great fights, the division where he is a champion is loaded of great names after this fight promoters will be looking to pit him to other great names like Teofimo Lopez ,Isaac Cruz or even Davin Haney We’ve seen recently that fighters from Australia, such as Tim Tszyu, Kambosos, and the Moloney brothers, are always very durable and tough to beat. I expect Paro to win some rounds but his success will be limited. Matias’ power will just be too much and will eventually break him. Subriel can take a punch and he has the power if you're a guy with 100% knock-out power your opponent has something to worry about, he is a marked man in that division and he only needs more big names with good records like Liam Paro to establish himself, in the Super Welterweight division.

It doesn't matter much because Subriel Matias is also taking this fight seriously, he was a champion for a reason and that means he train and work hard to achieve it. It's good to see that Liam Paro is training hard because he is up against an opponent that hasn't experience 1 defeat only and a 100% KO rate artist. This is a type of fight that the challenger has to be training hard as the reward is so big, but of course, we should expect the same thing from the champion as he got into that level and he'll never gonna go down again.

Lian Paro's chance is to knock Subriel out but it's going to be very hard because apart from being a knockout artist he also can take a punch. Subriel for me is a total package.

Lian Paro understands how important this fight is so he trains hard and in dog shape now, check out this footage and see his training and how hard is pieces of training are Is Subriel Matias In Trouble Liam Paro In DOG Shape For The Puerto Rican PuncherNot only he is fighting in his opponent's territory, but he is fighting against a pressure who can take big punches and has a huge potential to be in boxing. Both Lian Paro and Subriel Mathias are potential superstars and they will be each other's stepping stones, the winner of this fight will be a big threat to Isaac Pitbull Cruz, Teofimo Lopez and Tank Davis. There are still a lot of loopholes on Subriel though, he doesn't have that head and lateral movement, against another knock out artist in Ergashev, Matias has problems early in the rounds and I thought that there will be some upset. But when he caught Ergashev, Shohjahon somewhat felt the power of Subriel and so he wasn't able to respond to that attack. But as we can see in that fight, Matias is just chasin Ergashev in the ring, like Ryan Garcia without any movement at all and he rely on his power. And so if somewhat really put a dent on him, he might not have any plan B in a fight. It's good that he has a solid chin, but once it's crack, it will be over.

That is the thing with Matias, he is somewhat of a pressure fighter and wiling to trade blows just to get one of his power shots. Paro could be the next one coming from Australia but he is in a very tough division. There are still some good fighters in PR though, Berlanga could be one as it was reported that he will be next in line for a Canelo fight. But yeah, like the Philippines, when Manny retired really hard to hear names that will put the country in the boxing world again, like Miguel Cotto when he was in his prime, the pride of Boricua.

I also noticed that I don't know if it's natural to him or just part of the strategy to bait his opponent to launch an offense because as a pressure fighter, he lets his opponent come to him so he can dish out his offense. I don't see a problem with that as long as he is successful doing that with a 20-wins all coming by knock out he has a perfect method so far. One thing I like about Subriel is how he frustrate all his opponents, he shows them that he can take their punches, I like to watch pressure fighter because they make the fight happens and this is what makes the boxing fans loves them.

Most of the time I am rooting for the underdogs so I am also hoping for Paro to win. Paro has the skills and enough power to win rounds but he has to get the respect of Matias or else he cannot stop the Rican from pressuring him. Matias can also get hurt as shown in the past, so it is something Paro can capitalize when the champ's defense is open. I am not sold on Berlanga and he is already in his mid 20s. Fighting Canelo is cashing out for him because I do not see him becoming long time champion if ever he pulls and upset. I see Top Rank's 21 year-old Xander Zayas as Puerto Rico's best prospect today. At the moment there are 3 champions from Puerto Rico, Matias, Bomba and Collazo.

Let's see if he can hurt Matias and how Subriel will respond to it. Because the last time, he answer the call, but it could be different when Paro hits him and how he will react. But if he goes toe to toe with Matias, sooner or later he will be caught and we will see how tough Paro is, although Australian is also known to be very durable boxers. Zayas has a bright future and he is with Top Rank and lot of potential at 21 years old.

He is a huge underdog as he is fighting in Subriel's country and he is already considered a huge superstar in their country Lian Paro has a chance of course but he needs a knockout because of the hometown decision for Paro to win he should not go toe to toe and do what Haney did to Kambosos dominate him that a hometown decision will become controversial. This is the second consecutive time that he is fighting an undefeated tough fighter and if Subriel passes this one he should be ready to fight other champions like Haney, Tank, or Lopez
