Less that two weeks from this fight and I see a twitter post when Errol Spence and Frank Martin are talking about Frank beating Gervonta Davis. And then Shakur Stevenson will have to wait because there is a rematch clause between Martin and Davis.

Usually a rematch happens when a champion loses his belt or the fight is too close that it could go either way, if Martin loses the match by stoppage I don't think there will be a rematch it's not appealing to the boxing fans if Gervonta loses by a stoppage he had the privilege to try to regain his title, all championships match usually has this rematch clause

Davis on the other hand saying that Martin doesn't like body shots, so for sure we will be looking for that kind of punch. Perhaps it will be the same strategy against Ryan, when he target his body and then go upstairs. Also lots of sparring sessions of Tank as well released in the social media that he buckled down the legs of his sparring partner.

Public sparring doesn't indicate anything they are not hard sparring because if people see that one favorite fighter dominated by his sparring partner it will not attract the betting platforms, hard sparing is kept in public they only show it after the fight not before the fight, as it can distract or influenced the betting and opinions of the boxing fans.

Sparring sessions shown to the public are always limited for many reasons. The main reason not to show is to avoid getting studied by the opponent's side. Many fighters wear their shirts to avoid a view on their physical form.

But Frank Martin already knows Tank is heavy handed. I am sure he and his team are ready for this. And we'll find out of it works. I believe Martin has the skills to win many rounds against the Gervonta. But it only takes one solid shot from Tank and the fight ends.

I want to see and upset but if Tank wins, I really hope he has the balls now to unify the belts. He is nearing 30 and has zero unifications.

Yeah, but if it a controversial outcome and there are the majority who thinks that Frank Martin won that fight, then the public will clamor for a rematch. That's what happen to Josh Taylor vs Jack Catterall, Josh narrowly won in the first fight and we thought that Catterall won. But the rematch was kinda late, Josh is over the hill and no belts on the line but Catterall proved that he should be declared the winner in the first fight.

Perhaps he is playing mind games here by not appearing on the grand arrivals? Although almost everyone was there including Benavidez and  Gvozdyk. So it's really unprofessional of him to skip and be somewhere else and let his training do the promotions.

As for Benavidez, it might be a tough fight for him at 175 lbs as for sure  Gvozdyk is going to welcome him.

Don't we think that Tank is threatened by the way he behaves in front of Frank Martin as you can all see he is bullying Frank Martin whenever they are with each other or he is just being Tank very boastful and very confident?

Frank is a serious contender and can pull out an upset I have seen and reviewed many of his fights and all I can say is Martin is a real deal that Tank needs to take seriously, I still believe that Tank will win the fight but the threat is always there are it will show up in the course of the fight.

It's more of boxing fans wanted to see an upset, and maybe they are tired of Tank Davis boasting that he is the best like Floyd and then he is what? just like a paper champ and not stepping up his game. And also when we hear that he had rehydration clause on Ryan Garcia, fans see it as really taking advantage of his opponents. Not saying that it could be a different outcome, but maybe we can see a different version of Ryan during his fight with Tank and who knows what will happen there. If he wins by knockout then good for him, maybe the next time he can fight the likes of Shakur or Loma or even move up to 140 lbs wherein there's a lot of great boxers and champion waiting for him.

I agree, it's about time that he really needs to step up and fight Shakur or Loma next. He has been protected by Floyd and since their relationship in the last couple of months turn sour, hopefully he can make up his mind and fight the best at 135 lbs.

David Benavidez vs Oleksandr Gvozdyk is also a must watch, this is the first time that Benavidez is going up at 175 lbs and he is going to face a tough opponent here. The Ukrainian is super motivated as they have Usyk, Loma and Denis Berinchyk. So good fight to see, but I think Benavidez can win his debut fight at LHW.
