Gambling is never a thing to put all your hopes on. Gambling is good but overdoing it may result to addiction or many drag you back. But it will do you more good if you chose to risk what you can afford to lose than gambling above your budget.

I do have some friends who are solely dependent on gambling as a means of livilihood, and to be honest though, this is what they make me believe but I have my doubts that there must be some other stuffs they are into; since this days, there are many way to make money online, and only those who you let in on your secret can know, those you don't tell won't know.

Yes surely you will never know what people do for a living and they may never tell you. Just like we participate in signature campaign and get paid every week here in BTT, if most of us are asked what we do for a living we can as well say that we do gambling for a living or trading while most of the fund comes from signature campaign. Although sometimes people depends on Gambling for survival as your friends may say it. Because I have some folks that gamble for a living. What they do is to risk like $50 on 5 or 10 different games like two matches with 2 odd with a stake of $5 * 10 tickets of $5 each with 2 to 3 odds. So if out of 10 tickets 6 or seven plays they make profit. Example
Tickets no 1, 2 or 3 Match with 2.50 odd=$5 stake
Tickets no 2, 1match with 2.00odd =$5 single stake
This continuous tile tickets no 10 so if 6/10 plays, they are at advantage. If 5/5 plays they may get back there returns with some bonus that may be used for another game. if 6/10 also loss they still have 4 tickets to play next round and so on.

Yes, I experienced it too but, when I returned to betting just for fun and getting good results, and at that moment I became active again. However, because I was active again, in the end I experienced bad results again when I was completely confident of winning by placing a bigger bet than usual, but the result was a loss. Obviously,  this is greed which is still very difficult to overcome because afterall, the only way to avoid greed is of course to stop and leave gambling for a while. They must not have motivation to wins in gambling like their friends because they will not wins easily. They don't know how much money their friends use until they can wins because their friends may not tells about that. I basically see it as an addiction, a person who survives addiction to gambling will surely face huge losses. Many people take gambling too seriously, gambling should never be taken too seriously as it will pull you back again and again. Same what happened with me and my wife but I think it is only in our heads and there are still times that we think we can win and turns out that we are correct, while there are also times that we expect less and then we lose.
