Changenow.io Scam - 4100$ in BTC! Never send money to this cunts!!!

I sent them 4100$ in btc want to change in usdt. They want verification I made it. After they told the coins are from gambling, and they are not accepting because it’s high risk, in this case they need send the coins back, like other Plattform, but they stole my funds!!

Yeah, unfortunately changenow has a lot of accusation against them. Their representative hasn't been active for a while. I can try to shoot them a PM, but I don't think that'll reach them. I think you'll get a better chance of reaching them and catching their attention by raising your issue on bestchange's page.

Reading terms of condition prevents this kind of issue. You should also always remember to regularly check reviews or feedback. Don't just check them when you've been scammed or when there's a problem like this. Even though it's stated in the terms and conditions that they don't accept funds from gambling, for me they should still return your funds, even with deductions for transaction fees. At least they returned the funds to you. Also can you provide some evidence in your post?

Why don't you use another exchange instead of Changelly, which has a lot of scam records online? You could have just used another exchange to swap your bitcoin for USDT. Even Dex Exchange can go for this. The amount might be small, but it's too big to be lost to the hands of scammers.
 
They have been known to use KYC and other forms of verification to steal customers funds; they don't have intentions of paying back or refunding.
 
To be on the safer side, if they were trying to play safe, they could have just sent back that BTC back to the deposit address without hesitation to get themselves off whatever they were avoiding, but they know they didn't, and if you track back that transaction next time, you will notice that they might have moved out the Bitcoin to another wallet.

If they charge that the coins come from gambling sources then they should point it in their terms that they are confiscating coins coming from gambling sources and they should give a warning that they do not accept coins from gambling, it's pretty clear here that they have no basis to hold your funds.

Let us know if they resolve your issue, if not post all your evidence to warn other people not to use Changenow.

So many scam accusations about changenow coming up here now and then. I am not sure why you even didn't bother doing any research before using them, let alone read their terms that are unfriendly.

We have exchangers that don't require such stupid verification, like exch.cx (bookmark it and use the exchange next time). Regardless, they should give u back your money.

I wouldn't use instant exchanges for converting that amount of BTC into USDT. But as said, changenow has got a lot of accusations in here and they're not just new but since years ago and that's why they should be avoided. I just felt bad that you haven't searched anything about them before using them. But I think that you've been using and trusting them for so long so you did go on with that amount. Anyway, it's true that they should just refund you if they have flagged the coins came from a casino. IMO, you'll get your money back but they're too slack and slow with these process that has led them to many accusations even before.

In fact, Bestchange could help mediate the dispute and according to their last reply, OP needs to do further verification if he is to receive a refund. I have seen a similar case in the past where the person got back their money after further verifications.

OP claims that the money is from a gambling platform but the AML check shows that 72% of it is stolen, so.... Still a long way to go here.

AML check may give misleading or deceptive results, coins may not have come from stolen addresses, but rather from a mixer, but in general, most of these services prefer to return the money to the deposit address, unless it came from one of the blacklist addresses. But they told you they will only send you the funds once you do further verification. Can you prove that the funds are from a casino?

Don't get me wrong. I hate that kind of KYC verification so much. Where I have to first verify in order to get a refund. It feels so criminal, and this is why I carefully read the ToS before using a service. At the moment, it looks like the only way for you to get back those funds is to first verify.

There is this clause, but I don't think it may help you especially when you read the last line, but try your luck

That sucks if true, but you really need to post some evidence for your scam accusation claims, something like screenshot of conversation, balance, coin address, transactions, etc.
I didn't know they started to mark coins coming from gambling websites as high risk, but I am not surprised

It's frustrating that they have blocked your funds now asking you to do verification, now it's a very difficult situation to give you proof of where your funds came from. If your funds did not come from a blacklist address then they should have returned your funds to the same address, but they didn't. There are already many complaints against this exchange, community members should be careful while using this exchange, as any member can become a victim at any time. Can you add more evidence to your accusation? what kind of conversations you had with them would give a clearer idea of ​​their intentions.

Most times when exchange behaves like this they looks for some silly reason to steal your fund from you without enough cogent reason while some would go dig out their rules to suits the claims of them not sending you back your funds.

I wonder if the reason they flagged you is because of the relatively high value of the exchange you were trying to do and the fact that you were converting it into a stablecoin.  For some reason I think when USDT or another USD-pegged coin is involved, it catches the attention of the exchange--but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Either it's a typo error that day or I probably mistaken one of the exchanges for the other, as I have recently read a lot of scam reports on Changely the past few days before that thread. Corrections have been made.

They had already several scam accusations against them and I think they are not listed on Bestchange (I have not found them on BTC to usdt. So, You made a mistake by making a transaction with them. If they have listed on any site then report on there.
