Good day my country people, when I newly enter this forum I been dey find am difficult to write properly in English as English no be our first language, dem don even tell me say this place na only for people wey dey fluent for English but I talk say I no go give up because if I give up na me still lose. I still never dey fluent but I don see some newbies wey I pass but they still manage to do their thing with their heads up high so who am I not to do the same, I have seen that the more the I post and navigate the forum the more perfect my writing skills as practice makes perfect. In essence the message I dey try pass be say, if you want to be good at something you have to keep doing it regardless of how many times you have failed while doing it or regardless of the criticism you have gotten from friends. Writing properly in English is never a serious issue that determines how you blend well in this forum. From your choice of using pigin, it's clear you understand that even if you use pigin English or normal good English, as long as you are able to pass your information in a way that the next person will be able to understand, then you don't have a single issue at all.

Well na true say English no be our native but I believe everyone can write the basics when it comes to English and na the reasons why people wey even worse pass like those asian sef dey survive for the forum. Actually sef the community na friendly place and dem even tell people wey no too for English sef to just manage write, so far as the English is understandable and people fit relate then you cover. Op, this ya topic dey okay but fluent in English is not compulsory, not 100% necessary and fluent in English doesn't determined or guarantee success though it's actually good to be fluent. Sorry to say this I have actually see some thread made by snr member and full member and it is nothing to write home about but yet they are still making progress. I love that sentence "practice makes perfect" but I will like to rephrase it to " practice makes better" most people don't believe this saying because they don't always have the time to practice all the time and they see it as stress. Most persons give up because after too many try and it doesn't work out for them they will have this mindset that they can't do it, they can't make a difference but trust me practice will make you to be better and good at that particular thing you are doing. Note you can't be perfect no matter how much you practice but you can be good or better.

Being fluent in English does not make you a successful member of the forum. The most important thing is the knowledge you are able to pass to the community members. Op I understand you clearly, normally writing na skill, no be wattin person fit just wake up one morning start to dey do fluently, except say na gift wey you get. Normally when I first start this forum I prefer to write for pigin pass the English because i been fit dey express myself fluently pass when I use English, but as you talk, practice makes perfect, now I fit use English express myself well. Op just as they always say the show my your friend and will tell you who your are that is applicable to practice and anything one engages itself, person must not know it hundred percent the little way you know and you keep following up with the right part  your sure of getting it write.

English no be our native language so no stress am even most of us here sef sometimes if not all the time sef our English no dey that legit and na why most times when I dey write na external keyboard me dey use follow like grammarly, the keyboard dey correct your Grammer well well especially for all those simple punctuation and other vital stuffs wey fit make the write up readable and understandable by the reader or should I say decoder.

 A lot of us here experienced the same issues, especially those that did not have good writting skills, but only those that where determined and willing to pass through the learning process in the forum where able to scale through. Na writing we Dey take communicate here and that be for English and in as much as much as you be learned Nigerian, to write for we English no for be your wahala. It's good to hear some people get motivated in what they want and never give up. If you want anything in life you have to go for it regardless of how low your thinking you are, at least over time you will learn.

Now for a good English, you can use AIs like Grammarly, Quillbot etc to write good English when you will wish to communicate in a better English, that has been what most people from other countries have been using for a long time now and it works for them. You should try using it.
