So, like few hour ago, I was scrolling through my reddit feed and found a post that was made on one of the gambling channels on the platform, I opened the post to read and behold, it was a gambler telling his own story and experience in gambling, I found it quite interesting to read, plus his experiences could also serve as a valuable lesson to some of us here, so, I thought I should share it.

Once you are trapped in that endless loop of constantly playing these games you will definitely lose, cause the house always wins, it doesn't matter how many times you win as long as you keep going back you are definitely going to lose everything and More.. discipline is very important, we are all greedy by nature but you must learn to control it. Regret will really be always in the end and this is something that should really be realized by someone. Basing up on the story on OP then its good that he had made out some consideration on buying up something that he can hold rather than on spending those winnings back again or losing it into the casino. What a story, one thing I know about gambling is that when you win it turns you to an addict and you can't leave gambling because you see it as a place to get easy money. If he had lost the first bet maybe he would have changed his mind about gambling, the winning kept him playing believing he will will continue win and even went on giving alot of money to charity and also buying lots of stuffs he don't actually need. Honestly he spent the first winning well paying his debt, giving his mom some money, fixing his car and so more but the second winning he spent it too lavishly, maybe if he had took his time to save the money and even gambled responsibly he won't be this broke already. Onr thing we need to know about betting Is that he can't always pay us, the bad days is going to be more than the good days. I really feel sorry for him winning this much Money and going broke within that short period of time.

Well  from what I understand  from the guy in the story, he is kinda smarter than we might think. The action of deleting his casino after realizing a huge win is kinda smart move. I know of few person  who have made millions in one sitting and still loss it all to gamble. And making purchases could be a way of not spending the money back into gamble. So yes he might be addicted but not at a critical stage. There are chances for recovery. Knowing fully well that gambling can not be all that profitable, one can set a stop loss slightly above the initial amount he started with so that if he fall back, he will not end up exhausting everything. That's the power of greed, although he won huge amount in short time but he became greedy and that's why he lost all the money that he won in gambling.
