First of all I hope I never have a day where I lose so much money that I have to stop gambling. I always try to gamble as much money as I can afford to lose.  However, if there is a day in front of me where I lose so much money that it has a big impact on my family and my personal life, I will definitely take a break from gambling as my next step.

I don’t know if your friend is not possessed by something else. Why on earth will you make such a big mistake? You have done this before without having anything tangible. He might be getting himself into more issue. The best solution he would have had back then wasn't to take another loan to gamble, he should have taken a loan to pay for his other expenses instead as that would have gone a long way. I wonder if he managed to get back the money he lost and paid off his loan. I would love to hear from you on this. The probability of losing in gambling is greater than winning because of the house edge. Exactly, it depends from a person itself if how he will find that courage to stop, most of the time those reminders and cares from our love ones and friends may help but without that self-will to quit, then it will not be easy for a gambling addicted person to stop.
