It is easy to gets bots as followers on X by paying some money. Followers doesn't mean anything unless they are active on X. Solana is now full of these meme coins after the success of a few. Not all of them will be able to replicate the same success. I am not against any meme coin but it is better to take more caution than before in investing in these coins.
The number of followers that a coin may gather has not been a useful metric for years, and this is because scammers realized that back then people began to choose the projects in which they wanted to invest using that criteria.

So what they did? Buy a bunch of fake followers cheaply and scam whoever decided to follow them, which at the time was a lot of people, so once investors realized this new trick by scammers they have been wary of such tactics, and for the most part they do not work anymore.

It seems meme coins right now are already overrated and not already worth it to invest especially on these new random memecoins.
This is my first time hearing this EPIK meme coin in Solana and right now Solana is not anymore active or hype even we saw a huge memecoin recently, the WIF memecoin.

"Only 1 month has passed and 12 of the Solana presale meme coins have been completely abandoned after raising >180,650 SOL ($26.7M).
Would avoid any future projects launched by these founders."

I'm sure the demand for meme coins will drop in a couple of months, and anyone who hasn't gotten rid of them will lose a lot of money.

Meme coins have always been overrated, it is just many investors do not want to see this fact as they want to believe the coin in which they invested has a chance to make them rich, but the failure rate of meme coins is so high and the speed at which this happens so fast, that those people will realize very soon the mistake they made.

Unfortunately it will be too late to save their capital, and due to those losses they may come to distrust bitcoin and the few other good coins that exist, which could cause them to miss the upcoming bull run as they leave this market behind.
