I am trying to increase my investment in Bitcoin before the halving event because I know that the Bitcoin price will increase after the halving. Also know that if the Bitcoin price doesn't increase at the exact moment of halving, it will increase later. I collect bitcoins as per my convenience. In previous halving we have seen the Bitcoin price rise long after the halving. I am not satisfied with the temporary growth of Bitcoin. I believe in long term investment. I don't get too excited about bitcoin prices because I try to hold. I will be watching the Bitcoin price for the next few days and if the transaction fees and prices decrease a bit, I will add some more investments.

I don’t need to increase my bitcoin in the portfolio because of the halving. Before halving, few years back, I always thought that halving comes with a lot of rewards attached to it immediately the halving takes place. After understanding that the bitcoin halving is just a step to reduced price of miners and does not come with anything significant immediately it takes place, I just decide one should rather stick to their long term strategy of accumulating bitcoins and high is through DCA. Some research have said that the halving can make the market go up or even go down depending on the market conditions before the bull run arrives. Bull run is unpredictable, so just stick to the DCA, it would be better for one.

Absolutely, but would rather wait for a crash first which I think is likely to happen given how low market volume is now. The time it will again crash, I would make a entry to fill my bag more and wait for months until the market recovers. Good thing that you managed to bought early and if that's the case and if you're already satisfied with your portfolio then waiting for the bullrun to start, is the only thing you should be doing right now. I did the same thing but I still add on my portfolio especially if there is an opportunity, not only with Bitcoin but also with other coins that I think has the potential to bw profitable. Bullrun is indeed unpredictable, what matters now is how consistent we are of believing that something big is about to happen for this industry.

If you're asking whether I'm planning to buy more bitcoin for fiat the answer is no. I have enough bitcoin and barely enough fiat money as I've turned most of what I had in the bank into bitcoin long time ago.
This means that I now have more than 100 times more money in bitcoin than I have in the bank, so increasing my bitcoin position makes no sense, but if you don't have any bitcoin or you're more of a 1% bitcoin type of investor then go ahead and get more.

Just like I replied to another topic, if you plan to hodl this investment from now until the next halving which will happen in four years, it is also not a bad plan. Starting now with this investment to accumulate more bitcoins will mean that in the next halving you will be among the major investors who benefit from it too.

Deciding to reduce your investment or stop hodling because this Halving is past will be a very bad choice that you can regret later. No matter the value that this halving will take the value of bitcoins to, there will still be room for profit making.

My another opinion is that Isn't it wiser if someone doesn't buy Bitcoin now if they are willing to keep them until the next halving and should wait for the bear market that comes after the bull run to make their purchases? I believe it is because if you are buying at $65k and not selling even if you are getting 2x of your investment in the bull run, it's better if you don't buy right now and wait for the market to crash once again. After all, as history says, it does happen in each cycle.

So if I was to invest and buy Bitcoin with the intent to keep them until the next halving, I would wait for the bull run to get over and then when the market starts going down and we enter the bear market, that is when I would make my purchases as I would get more Bitcoin with my capital that way.

Not really, looking at the current Bitcoin price we are still on the similar levels as a few weeks ago. As long as the price is moving around the 60-70,000k levels I wouldn't change much to my investment strategies. In general, I try not to be affected too much by price changes and keep following my DCA method instead. But when reaching new ATHs it becomes harder not to constantly check prices and trying to adapt my investment strategy. The DCA method has been my best approach to acquiring bitcoins over the years. Assuming that Bitcoin is still going to grow the same it has the last few years, then buying new coins today is fine. But should we be really changing our strategy completely? There is no guarantee that BTC is going to reach another ATH, it could also be that there is another big crisis in the world and price fall again. Which makes DCA so attractive, we are not putting all our money into one single purchase. I am in the crypto world for the long run and so will be my Bitcoin allocation. It also helps with setting aside a fixed monthly amount from my salary for saving/crypto purchases and gambling. Like that I can make a purchase every few weeks and don't have to worry too much about prices moving against me.

I'm not, the fee is too high and I badly can't move my BTC if I ever buy it as I don't want to keep it in the exchange wallet. It was not a good time to buy, not in the case of the halving event unless there are deeper corrections. Maybe some are buying but I know that the majority are just observing the market situation. If we are buying before halving, I think there is no need for now.

I'm currently holding but maybe the decision can be changed depending on the market trend. And for how long? That still also depends on the price movement. Of course, I definitely sell my BTC once the price hits my target.

True. it's good to wait and prepare some other usdt to prepare for buying BTC again if there is pressure where price reversals will occur at any time, especially when miners sell their mining results even though we know the price is still not massive BTC increase, no. I didn't seen the expected downward trend in the price of BTC before the halving, it seems quite ready for a bull run at the moment. I have been and continue to be in DCA as much as I can - I know the price will move forward quickly. But I expected more price dips because I saw prices dip a lot before the last halving. Bitcoin investors are busy holding more at the moment so the price may have missed the opportunity to go down. So I am more focused on long-term holding as well as continuing to accumulate bitcoins in DCA. Hopefully I will enjoy the rewards of the long-term investment upcoming future.
However, my small foray into holding bitcoin from my own position as a small investor will motivate me more in the future because I don't have the fear of investing - which I used to have in other investments. So the focus should be on bitcoin holding at the moment.

I don't, why don't we focus on accumulating as much bitcoin as possible when the bear season comes and the lowest price during the bear season in 2022 is 15k-20k? That's the best time to accumulate bitcoin, not now. If you use your money to buy bitcoins now, with the same amount of money, you can accumulate 3 times the current amount of bitcoins by 2022.

I believe that most people have accumulated enough bitcoin for themselves and what people are doing is waiting for the bull season to come. It's not too late to ramp up your bitcoin purchases, but that's no longer ideal.

About Bitcoin, I've put a stop to its investment since last year, and as an investor of many years in the field of the financial market, it is not advisable to continue to buy an asset at a high level, it is always detrimental, especially if something unforeseen happens at that unattractive level. Needless to say, the expected value is no more worth the risk since there is no way one will make 3 times their investment in Bitcoin in this bull season again, so why still risk it even as we are not yet sure if 2 times the increase is still certain in this bull run.

A lot of questions are being asked at this point, and if care is not taken, one may make regrettable mistakes by believing that Bitcoin will always behave the way it did in the past. I started my Bitcoin investment in 2020 and I was committed to pumping it every week then, so I've had enough and with what I've gained so far, there is no way I can miss out on this world cake anymore. My focus is on altcoins now and it has been so nice for me, and I am sure when the altcoins season comes as usual, it will be a very good testimony by then.

I don't invest in Bitcoin with any specific target, I invest in DCA method when I have money in hand. I invest in DCA method as per my ability. Since my investment volume is not large enough, my plan is to continue investing in long-term DCA method. Suppose there is a plan to hold till 2029-2030, I don't know if I can implement my plan. If one aims to invest now and sell in the upcoming Bullrun, there is ample opportunity for them to invest now. Currently, the price of Bitcoin is slightly increasing and slightly decreasing. No one can say exactly when Bulran will start. So if you want to invest then you can invest. Because the market is currently low, this may be your last chance to invest.

Why not, there is something to think about that will happen after the event, the market reaction after the Halving will determine the next price of bitcoin. Most investors will continue to plan to save as much Bitcoin as they can afford, even though they are not influenced by the Halving event, they will continue to buy Bitcoin as a long term investment regardless of the events that occur during the accumulation period. I estimate that Bitcoin still has a chance of reaching its maximum price next year. IMO, which is the best idea is to focus on consistent investment by using DCA rather than trying to time the market.
What I mean is that grab the opportunity when there's a market correction because it can influence the average buying price of investments that can be made through DCA, with the potential to lower it during periods of declining prices.  This is one of the benefits of using DCA to determine the buying point.

Don't make things more complicated by making such a decision.
Just invest and hold it for the long term and aim for a target amount of profit.
