I think you have answered your self in the thread already. The bitcoin halving has taken place and the next thing I think is much anticipated is the bull run. The bull run is what many investors are definitely expecting after the halving and unlike the halving which has an estimated date the bull run doesn’t which actually increases the curiosity of people as to when the run will come. So currently with the halving already achieved the bitcoin investors and also that of Altcoins are just looking forward to prices skyrocketing.

I think you're blowing things out of proportion OP, remember that this is just the 4th halving and you have to know that the last block would be mined at the year 2140 so I'm not sure whether your concern is valid because comparing that to the times that a halving has happened, we're not yet halfway there. There's nothing special to look forward to for the next halving of bitcoin, it will still be the same, do what you've been doing on the previous halving and you'd be doing just fine, nothing special changes besides the potential that the price might reach somewhere that we might not even think might reach at that point in time.

It is as if this is the end of btc market, but it is not. As you said, this is just 4th halving and we have a lot more to come. So whatever you are doing today, you can continue. That is, if you truly believe on this market. You will stay motivated if you have strong belief that this market will further increase its adoption and will continue to penetrate the mainstream financial market.

This is only good if you have financial capability to do so and wait for years before you can cash out. Not many crypto users have that kind of advantage as most are only capable of holding btc in short-term basis to get immediate profit. But if you have that edge, why not? Also, keep tab on this market. You'll never know what's gonna happen next...

I guess one of the motivation is to make money in the market, admit it or not. So how can we do it? We buy as much as we can, even after the halving and accumulate and then wait what will be the new all time high, the peak price in this bull run cycle, time it, and sell for a ROI.

And with that halving done already then still continue what we are doing, DCA. If it ain't broken, then don't fix it mantra.

You can't just sit and watch your wallet grows, we are still have the opportunity so stack sats.

Aren't we already in the bull run? what do you consider a bull run? what should be the price of Bitcoin and other altcoins for a successful bull run? Bitcoin was under 40K 3 months ago. and now it is above 65K. Solana went from $20 to $150, and many other altcoins skyrocketed just like that.
So I think we are pretty much in bull run. the thing is everyone has their own price marks for bull run. which makes things more fun.
and if we assume we are already in bull run. then what is the next big thing to anticipate after that?

It's funny because if you got to ask that question before halving I don't think it would have occurred to us that the big thing about halving would be a massive new inscription of spam images on the blockchain raising the fees above 1,000 sats/vByte.

I'm personally always interested in any adoption-related news. Like another country adopting bitcoin as legal tender or even any general "good" regulations that helps the adoption of it grow.
Other thing I always hope to see is other countries starting to get into mining bitcoin more. We are in need of as much decentralization as we can get. Concentration of mining hashrate in certain countries is always dangerous and a threat for Bitcoin's decentralization specially countries that are known for abusing powers like China and USA.

It's right that those people are more keen on getting profit from Bitcoin by their trading, speculation or investment. It does not mean they do something wrong because chasing profit is what we all do but I agree with you it's not accurate to call them as Bitcoin enthusiasts.

I disagree with Bitcoin maximalists too. The world exists with many components as same as cryptocurrency market has Bitcoin and altcoins but Bitcoin maximalists don't accept this fact.

Adoption creates value of Bitcoin and value leads to price growth. More adoption, higher value, higher price, it's natural process of Bitcoin's value and price discovery.

After Bitcoin halving the bull run does come but it takes time its own time and its month or year. We cannot predict it just because the haLving event is over as there are multiple factors associated with the bull run. You are too dependent on the halving event whereas you forgot that in 2024 Bitcoin price is not more dependent on halving it is now getting affected with Bitcoin ETF. For me, Bitcoin price has now become an unstoppable event and anytime we could see the price breaking the previous ATH.

Mate halving will continue to happen just in intervals. Now we focus on accumulating and holding and maintaining our profits. Then we wait again until the next halving comes and the price doubles up again. It’s just a cycle that we have to ride out and as long as there is money associated to it, I’m staying pretty motivated and inspired.

I think in one market cycle, there is 1 year for bull market, 2 years for bear market and 1 year for warm-up. The one-year warm up is not bearish so I disagree to say there is 3-year bear market for one cycle.

Bitcoin Spot ETFs were expected to change Bitcoin market cycle and it actually changed some big things like new all time high months before a halving. Recent weeks, Bitcoin Spot ETFs tend to have less impact on price but I see it is very normal because after about 7 months of bull, Bitcoin actually needs to have real correction to make the market cooler. A consolidation phase is always important and necessary for a big bull run later so recent weeks are good for future bull run of Bitcoin.

Personally I am very curious to see what will happen with the price: in the past we always had some dumps after the halving, will this time be the same? Since the ETFs bitcoin's price has been less volatile, and usually the people who buy ETFs are not in for some quick buy and sell, the hold for a while, so this time I still expect a price correction but way smaller compared to the previous years. And pf course I'm curious to see if we'll have a new ATH.

Hmm, With the establishment of the ETF now we are moving toward the global recognition for Bitcoin on legal grounds, maybe shortly we'll explore the fiat-to-crypto trend, well may be many will say that we are already able to switch between the fiat to crypto but in coming period most likely it is going to be on the street level.

Still, Bitcoin is lacking in the acceptability criteria as I can't go into the market and find even a single retailer allowing me to perform transactions directly in the Bitcoin network, (an exception for the developed countries). We can somehow relate it to the global currency narrative of Bitcoin. Still, for now, I'm keeping the expectation low, as Universal or global currency recognition is not going to be possible ever at least in the current timeline of 50 years haha.

There are many possibilities with a slight difference from each other for now that's not the topic so I've gave just an overview about the macro trends possible.

The bull run started a long time ago when the price started going up and up, quickly recovering from the bear market. We even established a new ATH before the halvening happen. It was though that the bull run will start after the halvening, but this time it started before it.

Anyone who knows about the history of Bitcoin knows that nothing interesting happens on the day of halvening, it's a well-known and expected event, of course its effects start and last before and after the event itself. Since we're currently still in a minor correction phase, it's still a good time to buy for this ongoing bull market.

After the halving, there was an increase, so it is believed that the bitcoin cycle is like this if you look at past history, it's just that you don't need to think after the halving suddenly the price goes up, there is no correlation, you have to wait longer or several months if people are bored, they will usually end it now to sell it.

If you think this is still right for accumulation then it's better to continue than wait for an uncertain moment, but we are optimistic as a btc holder for the future, now is not the time to wait until the end of the year or early 2025.

To be motivated you have to hold on until the time comes -bullish- but now it is still appropriate to keep accumulating rather than thinking about the halving that has just been completed.

There is no collective goal, and what do you need to stay motivated for, i don't get, BTC is a p2p electronic cash that has more than one use case, so the reason why Bob is buying, may not be the reason why Alice is buying their own coins.

The BTC halving is something that must happen after every 210,000 blocks, until all BTC's have been mined, so other than the expectation of the price pumping, you do not have to put too much thought to it. Adoption of BTC is the 'goal' for true BTC enthusiasts, just that high tx fees right now is a problem of adoption and until the fee is affordable, newbies may avoid the BTC network.
