Most of these coins are indeed having no utility but a hype is enough to create a demand for a certain token, and that means profit in every price increase that demand will generate. I never heard of simsol and I have a general viewpoint about memecoins; high risk, high rewards. If your risk appetite could tolerate the volatility these coins are having which is higher than most of the tokens in the market then you're free to go and invest into these coins. We cannot really say memecoins are trash because many people benefit from these projects still. You just have to manage the risk by setting stoploss or simply not putting that much into it, then you're good.

I say just let those memecoins enthusiasts be.

They most likely know the risks associated with ijvesting in memecoins and at this point everyone from time and time again has said how much risk there is with investing in memecoins and it should not even be considered as a proper or profitable investment anymore.

I don’t think people are ever going to stop being excited of memecoins until they stop being profitable. I know that memecoins are risky but every once in a while there is something that surges and now everyone is interested again.

If one project becomes successful most investors tend to find similar but cheaper projects just to see if they can get lucky and then they will all end up hyping memecoins all throughout the rest of the year which is why it might be less likely to stop memecoins from being hyped by lots of investors.

I think this is because meme coins have given some very good profits to its investors in the previous couple of months. Especially coins like Shiba, Doge , Pepe etc are the ones which have performed really well on particular occasions in the year 2023 so because of high profits people prefer to invest in meme coins.

Moreover the high profits ratio as compared to altcoins make them more attractive and investable. People ignore the risk side and focus more on high profits that's in our nature.

The simple reason why I think that people get excited about memecoins is because it's a get rich quick scheme, although it's not always the case with all of them, some are scam projects from their creation. Meme coins in general gives more profit on short term investments than Bitcoin itself, but the risk involved in their investment is very big.

The reason why people are always happy when investing in meme coins  is because of the pump which it’s always being pumped, so people are always making money, I think that’s just the only reason why people are always excited whenever they see any new meme coin. And for the most part they don't need to invest much of their money to profit that big. That is true. If someone was not ready to take the risk then maybe he or she is not ready for huge responsibilities so it is better to stay away from memecoins if you feel like it is too risky.

For me though I believe that taking risks can pay off in the future and people who invest in memecoins are one of those. It’s either they are brave or stupid and nothing really in between so make sure that when taking risks you have done your research.
