The future of transportation

Picture a taxis in the foreseeable future. Most of its manual controls conveniently and neatly hidden or outrightly taken out. The seats would be able to swirl around and facing each other. The vehicle would be fully automatic and self driven(the tech for self driving cars would likely have been perfected then) and it would be for the most part, safe.

If and perhaps, when these self driving cars fully become a thing and gets fused in and used in the transportation system. It might just go a long way, having some effect on transportation and in general, vehicular moment.

If this catches on, as it very well might, it could lead to less cars on the road as people might find it more convenient than to own and maintain a car when you could call for a taxi and have a self driving car pull-up to your door.

You wouldn’t have to put up with irrelevant and sometimes, unwanted chit chat with a driver. Just input your destination, sit back and enjoy the ride alone or together with some friends or whoever.

I would love to know your thoughts on this.

Actually there are already cars that can do exactly this

The vehicle would be fully automatic and self driven(the tech for self driving cars would likely have been perfected then) and it would be for the most part, safe.

I want this perfected immediately. It’s incredibly anxiety inducing when a driver takes a wrong turn or says things that are a bit suspicious. So it would help save a lot of lives if it were automatic instead.

In today’s world where traffic is one of the biggest concerns and contributors to pollution, a good transportation system would be a good idea. We should start it right now instead of waiting for perfected automated cars.

I badly needed this car for long ride , but maybe this is so expensive to rent .

but trust me , I love chitchatting with Drivers because they have sometimes the best story untold .

I even chitchat with Bus driver here in my city , that's why I mostly sit in front of the Bus

In this era of technological advancement along with everything comes changes in vehicles as well. In order to protect the environment, there are already plans to reduce the number of gas or diesel powered cars in developed countries. Electric vehicles are less likely to explode due to the lack of an internal combustion engine. Electric cars have no gears and are very easy to drive.

Well I do think that is what it is going to be like for us in the future. It will be with the cars that can dive us by it self and there is no driver in the taxi.

I do not like to take the taxis but I do like that idea. And if they do make it safe well then I think it will be like this.

We're starting seeing a bit of it but the difference is that there's still a driver needed with Uber. Soon, Uber might just make their own company produce or outsource self driving cars and let users book on their own.

Yeah, no chit chats anymore but just book where your pick up and drop off point. Pay it with Bitcoin or any other payment methods they accept and rate the service.

Actually, I'm thinking more of flying cars and capsulated floating cars for riding apps.

not just the electric but the design itself because like Tesla this is the future of transportation and I believe that sooner even in Air and water will be electric ? what if Elon are planning to provide us Tesla Plane and Ship version?

Yes it will be the exciting part for me I foresee it coming not soon now than as the strive for technology is dominant is revolving, many nation are working underground with some technical development to be the first to make news  as some speculate that soon car may use water as petrol and this will be more economical if it's any kind of water and is achievable. But if electric car is currently dominant now it will be very interesting.
