I will say it is quite hard to tell who gamble more, as we would never really know the amount of online gamblers from one country, and making a conclusion only by taking offline casino is not correct. From my own experience, I rarely saw young gamblers in offline casino. I think the reason for that is that they go there only to gamble, which means they have limited budget for such activity. I have lived in many communities and some States or regions in my country and there are some communities I went and I discovered that women are more productive by going to farm and other daily activities to provide food in the family than men. I also think that youths gamble more, because they are more inexperienced in money making. They are ambitious and always search quick and easy. As someone from Africa, I don't agree entirely with your evaluation. I have lived in multiple environments and in those environments, youngins are usually the ones much more actively involved in gambling than aged people. The only exception would be that the environment with more older people indulging in gambling vs youngins is underdeveloped areas. In more urban areas, the reverse is the case because its a different bull game and more bills to be paid.

I saw more Elderly people gambling using the draught board game in Bayelsa State than in any other state that I have lived in. If you have lived there you would have noticed. It is the game of the elderly. Despite this, I cannot say that they gamble more than the younger generations.

It is a longtime game that they have been used to, bringing them together from different places to converge in their known location to gamble. However, some young people also join but they are not much compared to the elderly. So it is more of older people's game than the young.

In my country (Pakistan), gambling is prohibited by the government but people still do it in hidden. As far as age is concerned mostly it's the young one who do it and not many elderly people are seen doing gambling. When you say younger ones I assume that the younger ones are still in the studying stage and still rely on their parents to sustain their education and their needs we can assume if this is the case then the elderly are the ones capable of gambling so they comprise the majority of gamblers where gamblers is legal.

Here in our country, we are very strict on allowing young people to gamble the regulators make sure that the law that prohibits young one from gambling are observed.

There’s a lot of elderly people here that doing casual gambling in barber shops on games like chess and checker. Previously, backyard card gambling is very popular in my country which the elderly always hangout to each other and gamble all day using small bets for their leisure time but right now our government ban this backyard gambling that makes it less popular nowadays.

I believe gambling is always popular on elderly especially if they are doing this when they are young since time flies by quickly when your mind is focus in the game and enjoying it.

Not only online gamble that youths are more active in, even in taditional gamble, youths are more active than elders. In general, as long as gamble is concerned youths gamble more than elders. If you have noticed, those elders that gamble traditionally must gather up at a place which is seen as their gambling arena.

Youths that love more traditional games or that are use to traditional gambling, can gamble anywhere. In the bus, in an uncompleted building, in empty classrooms and any more unusual places. when you say "elder ones" what age are you referring to(same with "young ones", when you say that what age are you referring to)? because from my experience, I usually see gamblers that look like they are middle-aged men and women gambling, though there are those that look like they are in their twenties but they aren't as many as middle-aged gamblers. anyway, if you referring to "elder people" as someone who is in their late 60s I'd say they aren't gambling more than the younger ones, I only usually see them in bingo halls but you rarely see them in any other gambling shops.

This is why it is hard to conclude about the general population in a country. You can't precisely tell how many younger or older ones are into gambling, whether online or physical ones. You can just deduce the information depending on what you are seeing but the actual stats, I don't think you can really get this one.

I create this thread base on experience in my location and the places I traveled around in the country.  Even when I was doing my National Youth Service/Community Service, I the elderly people Playing Gamble in the villages. So if you have not seen them in your side then you would have skipped the thread and this thread is not what you think of it.

In my country it seems the young people and the middle-ages are more involved in gambling. Young people try different form of gambling while middle aged people are more focused on card games. That group of people earn for their own and have decent amount to spend on gambling without any trouble. Young people have many needs and desire so they have less time and money to gamble. Old pensioners too lack good money so gambling doesn't come in their priority.
