Do you see such elderly people in your country? Or is it only in Africa? Is the younger ones play gamble more than the elders?

I think that everything depends on the country and has to do with the level of education and general culture towards such things. When we talk about typical physical casinos, I can say that I see mostly middle-aged people there, I would say 30+, and when it comes to sports betting, there are still younger people.

However, now that gambling and sports betting are happening more and more online, it is difficult (without data) to estimate who uses such services more. What seems to me is that a lot of people who didn't have such activities before because they didn't want to be seen in physical branches have now taken advantage of the opportunity to gamble in the online world.

At the end of the day, gambling evokes the same emotion in people of any age, and there's nothing wrong with it as long as it's fun and doesn't become much more than that.

From my observations I have seen a lot of middle age people gambling more than the younger ones because the middle age gamblers are the ones who find more money then the younger people. The reasons why the older people are not more than the middle age gambler is because most of the older gamblers are wealthy and they have a lot of money, so those older men that gambles are gambling to be entertained by the games.
The reasons why some of the younger people gamble is because many of them love footballs. But the people who get addicted to gambling are the middle age gamblers. I don't know if I am wrong anyway.

I've seen many young people from the minorities to visit land based casinos in my country. The young people from my ethnicity aren't that active in offline gambling, maybe most of them are playing online. I can also assume that the middle aged people also prefer online gambling.
The old men in my country prefer sports betting and I've seen several old women playing slot machines in a land based casino.

It’s a tough one. In my country, older people within the age of 47-85 are very active gamblers, it has been this way before the age of online casinos. These folks are used to playing checkers in the evenings after work hours or lotto, hoping to win big money. So much so that’s it become a culture in certain areas, it’s common to see older men gambling on a game of checkers. Yes, because online gambling ads has widely spread on all social media platforms, also spam ads via SMS, WhatsApp, Email, etc is also very massive.
Based on the statistics in my country, it is young people between aged 18 to 30 who play online gambling the most.

Really I haven't hard anything of such as employee motivator to gamble,  although I have spoken or hard in one or two threads that the issue's of employee gambling terms and what the work place can be use for, although yeah not all work is like banks that doesn't grant access to other features on they employee system which makes it hard for anyone to use the system for anything other than providing the banking services that there are configured for, so in this kind of work place, the employees will fine it hard to gamble while at work even in they free time.

However, of course everyone does not have a stable financial situation, there are those who are elderly but still have financial difficulties. I also think that with rich and poor elderly people, there are more poor people, therefore maybe there are not too many rich people who are old. considering that those who are old, in my opinion, already have good thoughts, where they will not gamble too excessively, even though they have quite a lot of money, but that doesn't mean they can enjoy the rest of their lives just by gambling.

I do not oppose your statement, because each country or region is different. I have lived in many communities and some States or regions in my country and there are some communities I went and I discovered that women are more productive by going to farm and other daily activities to provide food in the family than men. While the male sons and fathers are busy playing bet with Checkers Game and popular known in my locality "Draft Board Game" and bet on "Whot Card Game". And their.wives would go to farm or fishing to feed the families. Till date those things are common in the places I have visited in the country, mostly the elderly ones who the young once are busy using the casino centers and websites to play their games.

The elderly ones are still busy playing games with the traditional methods so most of us didn't notice that they are gambling but they bet with money and that has become automatically a gambling habit while the younger generation is using the new methods of online and casino Halls. Of a truth what you have said is nothing different from the truth. I have been to places where I virtually notice all these you have spoken. Even on the street I see them mostly.  The point you have made pertaining women going to farm is very touching though. Irrespective of the fact that they are female gender, they go to the farm to making sure that their families feeds. While some of the male go to gambling spot as you have spoken for all they care is their ways to gamble and have fun.

Women are naturally caring and as such tends to making sure their family are alright irrespective of whatever their husbands endulge in. They feel less disturbed because they too can cater for the house and they go extra miles to work for survival. I believe most times they have Heart to Heart to with their husbands and agree to whatever they are doing that is why I do not bother most times to involve myself in husband and wife saga.

Finally, when it comes to who gamble most between the youths and elderly, I think the youths do gamble often than the elders because from experience, youths are very much inclined in technology and as such can gamble online without anybody noticing that. Those that goes to the offline casino do that as well but adults that I see sometimes are just few and what they do is just local gambling as you have said. They are not too technologically inclined so they do not bother going online to gamble but rather prefer offline which they can easily get along with.

I think the economy of the country affects the number of gamblers because in countries where the higher number of gamblers is as a result of some gamblers gambling mainly for making money and not for fun.

It’s what I see around more often and has been the model that surrounds the gambling population today. This is something that have been leveraged by the many sportbook that exists today and there are even more to come.

This is probably a good question and I'd be interested in seeing statistics around it.  While I think younger gamblers are probably more likely to yeet their entire savings at a bet based on a feeling, older gamblers not only have more time, but also more money on their hands.  That's why when I walk into a casino, it isn't unusual to see a long line of elderly people in front of slot machines pulling away at that handle all day long.  I think over time, that probably drains a great deal of funds from these people, but I also think a lot of them are on fixed retirements and things where they can afford to lose money all day long.  Younger people may have a little more risk attached.

Exactly, I agree with your simple but clear opinion and in my opinion it is indeed a fact that most elderly people prefer the type of physical betting or online casino, one of the reasons that I think is quite reasonable is because usually someone who has entered old age they are quite difficult to be able to keep up with the times especially in terms of operating something digital, I don't know the problem but certainly old age is an age where thinking power has begun to weaken and maybe we also often see some old people who start senile or have difficulty remembering things as time goes by and maybe this is one of the reasons why the elderly prefer to gamble on the type of physical casino.

On the other hand as you said that the younger generation are those who are accustomed to technology which is because they were born when the times were quite developed which in the stage of development of their age was accompanied by the development of increasingly sophisticated times which made it easier for them in terms of adapting to the environment of technological advances. Nothing can stop someone from being addicted to gambling. Many gambling sites have now been created and are easy to access anywhere. You're right, there's a clear difference between how older and younger gamblers like to play.  The older crowd definitely prefers heading out to the physical casinos to soak in the flashy atmosphere and maybe order a few drinks while they play some slots or cards and  for them, it's an experience and a bit of a social outing I guess. 

But the younger gen seems totally fine just whipping out their phones and placing bets whenever its convenient, probably because they're used to doing everything on their devices nowadays.  Lower bet amounts probably matter too since they have less disposable income.  I dunno maybe it's a combination of factors.  But clear difference in how they like to gamble based on age it seems.

Both I think are engaging in gambling.  The adoption of smartphones I think contributed to all these siesta moments even in the time when they are supposed to be working.

Social media is more addictive than gambling though, this is where people are spending more time on social media trying to learn what each other is doing.  But the casinos are also grabbing attention especially if it's about national sports, people are betting on it online regardless of age.

You have a point, smart phones have been contributing to the significant growth of gambling among both young and older people because it seems to make things more easier and easily accessible by anyone. Well, from what is happening around me here there are no much female gamblers or i rather say they are very difficult to see but i know there will be some women gambling without anyone knowing about it. The percentage of female gamblers is very low compared to male gamblers here.

Maybe that happens in your community, but at my own side, men are the once that are always going to farm and doing other things just to make sure they bring food to the table, the women will just be cooking and taking care of children and other things which are suppose to be attended to at home.

In my community the young once are always taking gambling as a source of income, they believe if they keep on gambling, they will be able to gamble and take care of themselves, but gambling shouldn’t be taken as a source of income, gambling should be done just for fun, but youth in my country are taking as a source of income which at the end they do end up being addicted to gambling.

I don't think I've ever thought about it but I'd have to say I think it's fairly even here.  At least whenever I go to brick and mortar casinos I see tons of young people in certain areas like caps and blackjack.  Slots are predominantly older people it seems like.  I'd have to think online casinos must be more young people.  I'd think much older people wouldn't trust them since they didn't grow up with them.
