In this aspects I have different opinion (emotionally ). I tried it many times. When I see my winning position is very close to win I didn’t wish to cash out my balance. In the same way when I cash out my balance at that moment i win. I know that it is a power of luck. But yes, if we control our greed and cash out the balance that will be the right decision because if we win in gambling then we get our betting balance with profit but if we lost everything will be lost. Yeah right, there are factors that might change the direction of the outcome of our bets better to understnad and know that deeper information before concluding to what to do with your bet, if you see that you already have that chance to cashout and you feel like there's still chance that the outcome will turned against you,

We must be able to put aside the feeling of selfishness and greed that exists when we win.  I saw this on the media so I decided to bring it here in the forum for us to discuss about it. If you notice in the first image, the bettor played a very risky game which comprises of 15+ games with a huge fee of 1m naira. Please take note that this post is not to promote risky gambling or mislead people to emulate his strategy cause left for me I think he's lucky if he happens to win this bet. Now back to our main point of discussion which is on the second image, out of 17 games, 15 played with just two left and based on the date in the image I think Austin FC won Los Angeles Galaxy 2-0 making it the last game left, now if you were the bettor and was given a cashout of 12.4m out of 36m to be won would you rather be patient for the last game to conclude or you'll go with the cashout? Also note that if you cashout you are safe atleast you have made 11m plus extra cash and if you decide to wait it's either you lose or win 36m, what would you do?

There can't be a single answer to this question. This is going to be decided on a case-to-case basis. But in the case of a 17-leg parlay which has 15 games already won, I might not wait for the remaining 2 to finish. However, if the remaining 2 are almost sure wins, I might.

In the case presented in the OP though, 1.55 is already too high a risk for me to wait. If it's both 1.20, I might decide to take the risk. But since it isn't and my money has already 12x, what more do I need?

You are right so that will be our responsible to have good control while playing gambling so we don't gets deeper in gambling and can stay away from making a bad decision. Cashing out the temporary wins will depends on our analysis so if we thinks that we don't have a choice to holds our bet, it is better we cash out the wins money and leave the gambling. Greed is one part of gambling that can either put you into trouble or bless you greatly and our affinity to take risks plays a vital role here. As you can see, both the "greed" and "risk" mentioned are subjects of our emotions, and if we are not careful about emotion as a context on its own, the end can never be good. This is why we should have plans above all considerations, which will birth management and discipline while we gamble cautiously.

However, our management and discipline must be ready to influence our plans, but in the right way (flexibility, not too rigid in a tempting situation like this). If this case specified by the OP is to be followed with this principle, I think closing the bet at that reasonable gain is the best option. This is because the two factors will void the emotion which could be from "the higher risk-taking" and "greed," which could in turn put the gambler in sorrow if the result goes south.
