What happened: This company just scammed me.

After requesting an withdrawal, they made me to the KYC which, i don't mind doing it, despite them claiming they don't usually request it.

Now my account is locked and my funds not paid.

The gambling site does not have an official account on this forum. They do not have any active announcement thread. It is better you go for the gambling sites on this forum instead so that we can be able to help you let their official representative know about something like this as fast as possible and something will be done about it if valid. Sorry for your loss.

You can see official threads of many gambling sites on gambling main board on this forum. If it is casino that you want, you can click on my signature link which is the official site of livecasino.

Hello,

Thanks for answering to my scam accusation, isn't "Leetbit_official" their account? the link in the reference seems to be the topic where they promote the website, that's how I found them.

Show a little bit patience, your withdrawal requests aren't even 48 hours old. Looks like they are doing an investigation on your account. You should have waited for the final statement of their email support before creating this accusation. They do have a telegram channel and the admin is active there. I have already informed them about your complaint on the telegram channel.

The gambling site does not have an official account on this forum. They do not have any active announcement thread.
Leetbit has an ANN thread on Bitcointalk forum. OP has already made a post in their ANN thread before creating this accusation.

Hello,

I really appreciate your help.

And you are right, I could have waited longer for an official statement, but locking my account and not providing a reason right after that seems shady and scary to me, in my opinion.

My Regards.

The gambling site does not have an official account on this forum. [...]

OP made a typo, he's referring to leebit [with an i], but typed leebet [with an e]. They're two different casinos [yes, both seemingly exist... I wonder how many times people misaddressed and misaccessed both sites]

OP, I understand that the basis of your accusation is that they require you to do KYC although they claimed they usually don't request it? [I'll put aside where can we read that statement is for the time being]

Two things. One, the most obvious first, the word "usually" does not translates to "never". Usually means under normal condition, situation that mostly happens. Never means... well, not ever. Two different things.

Second... or perhaps, further, they actually require you to identify yourself prior to accessing the site, according to their ToS.

Edit: Oh, and OP, change your title. It's leebit, not leebet.

Oh, sorry, it seems there is a typo and mistake from my side too. The casinos are "leetbit" and "leebet".

Regarding KYC, to confirm, you've done it when you first using their service, or only recently when your account got locked and you asked to perform it?

Okay, I don't mean to be an asshole [though it's pretty much self-proclaimed on my personal text] but let's see if I get this right:

Their ToS specifies that you're required to fill a form upon using their service, and that they may ask for further identification when you attempted withdrawal. Then you ask for withdrawal and they ask for KYC. And umm... you think [claimed, more precisely] they scammed you because they said somewhere that they usually [but not never] does not ask for KYC?

If you check their advertisement topic here you will see that they (supposedly) barely request for KYC, only if they have some suspicion.
I wasn't required to fill any form on registration, they only requested me to do it after doing the withdrawal request.

I just think they behaver is predatory, like I said before, I don't mind doing the KYC.

I only think they are scamming me because they blocked me and they don't handle my withdrawal requests.

They said they would request KYC upon any suspicious activity, and they requested it just immediately after you requested a withdrawal. The amount in question is just a sum up to about a thousand dollars, which does not look very suspicious to me considering the days it took you after you deposited to make the withdrawal request and the amount also deposited.

Another reason that could lead to them asking for KYC might be multi-account policies. Is anyone around your neighbourhood or your compound also making use of LeetBet? Their algorithm might pick that on cases of multiple accounts; if there are none, then we should wait for their rep to come and give their own side of the story.

I would be surprised if anyone on my country used leetbit.

Regarding the winnings, this is usually the time it takes for me to gather that sum when I'm on a good streak. I would even post the bets I made here, but they restricted me the access to them.

I believe the advertisement topic you're referring to was this one?

We see there is a lot of confusion regarding our KYC policy, and we are sorry for it.

We have reviewed our KYC policy multiple times and we have made a few adjustments according to your feedback and suggestions, but we still need to remain under some regulations and rules.

When we started to operate, we had KYC mandatory for all users. A few months ago, we have disabled it. Generally, KYC on Leetbit is not mandatory. The option to fill up KYC is there, and it must stay there because of protection, regulatory and retention reasons. The only reasons why we MAY ask you to fill out the KYC are:

1. Going against our terms and conditions and/or Leetbit's rules (abuse, suspicious behavior etc...)
*Applies to depositing more than €2000 or requesting a withdrawal (ONLY if the account breaches regulator T&C)
2. User birthday reward/bonus (to prove your birthday if you want your bonus paid - optional)

More information about our KYC can be found here: https://www.leetbit.io/en/pages/KYC

This means doing KYC is not mandatory, but we have that option available due to the points mentioned above.

Just some additional insights: In more than 95% of cases, all KYC that we did were regarding birthday bonuses/rewards

I understand that in an ideal world, or perhaps even just in normal circumstances, their action is questionable and directly opposing their own statement [dare I say it's even a commitment?]. However, I think what happened here, you might triggered their "suspicious behavior" alarm. Though it's not necessarily a detrimental action [at least the jury is still out for this matter].

On their ANN thread, you mentioned that,

Hey there,

I've used many bookies that I found here, and I had good experiences in casinos such as, bcgame, nitrobetting, stake, gamdom and 500.

But after a while they limit the winners and I have to move to the next one.

That's why I have to play in the "less" reputable ones.

I am not trying to defending them, but the limitation across several books might also [accidentally] make you tripped over their alarm. Perhaps it's your betting pattern, the same situation and strategy that you utilize that resulting you to be limited on those casinos that raises their red flag.

Again, what you did might be unintentionally abusing their system, but that's probably the source of all of this situation, the bottom of our barrel.

Given you've comply to their KYC requirement, I am on the same page with mahdirakib, that it'll be best to wait and see if you passed it and everything goes back to normal [with worst case scenario you're also being limited on this one] and not your fund being confiscated.

IF it comes to that, them confiscating your fund with no clear reason or explanation, IMO, only then we can call it a possible scam and I will invite their representative to give their explanation here. For the time being --though it might be not the outcome you wished to happen-- I think this is a case of premature accusation, where the scam is not yet proven.

I am not blaming you for being too quick on raising a scam accusation thread, I can understand your concern and worries with the prospect of this case, considering the casino is somewhat less reputable than most that arrives on this board on daily basis. However, given there is no clear indication of fraudulent behavior from them, I am marking this as "invalid" for the time being on my list. I hope you're ok with that.

When the situation develops, I will update the status accordingly.

I remember playing in this casino over six months ago or could be more. I remember that I had to do KYC for only 200 +- TRX and the KYC was approved manually. If I remember correctly, I had to contact their support and ask them to check my account and KYC. If they claim that they usually do not ask for a KYC, this is bullshit. They even ask for a KYC to withdraw 200 TRX.

I guess it was https://t.me/LeetBitCasino_Kevin this Kevin guy who helped me to verify my account. You can contact him and see if they help you or not. OP should avoid those unnamed casinos if he want to play with some bigger amount.

Asking for KYC in a 200 TRX withdraw and claiming to be a "semi-non KYC" casino is wild lmao

Hey bachezy,

Thank you for your patience while our team conducted the investigation of your account.

After a thorough review - your account has been unlocked.

The initial block was due to our automated system flagging you as a multi-accounter. This is strictly against our Terms and Conditions and if confirmed would result in a lifetime ban.

Thanks to the provided KYC and our fraud team investigation we determined this was a false positive.

Please note that the withdrawal you requested will be or already has been canceled due to security reasons. However, you are free to proceed with a new withdrawal request/s.

We really do not understand why you tried to make such unproven accusations since the "locking" of your account happened less than 24 hours ago and with your experience with the other operators (where you had a similar experience that was triggered by your suspicious activity), sure you were aware that the KYC process was on the way and that the support team is actively working on your case, checking your account activities and confirming KYC as well, before we can proceed with any withdrawal requests.

We have really strong and strict multi-account detection systems in place, and every breaking of these or other T&C rules may result in your account or funds being frozen.

If you have any further questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via this email or our live support. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Best regards,
Leetbit Team

Hey Leet Official,

I appreciate your answer and clarifications, and I want you to explain why I reacted like this.

This happened to me before, and I was indeed scammed, I will give you 2 examples, coinplay and ole777 which are both red flagged on bitcointalk.

I didn't receive any immediate answer for my lock, that's why I panicked, I started researching and I found that people had the same problem, and I barely found any positive feedback.

I will update this topic when i receive my withdraw.
