Yes, I see that too. Soccer fans are more prone to losing because they are stuck with their favorite teams and they won't just bet against them because it has become a part of them. It's either not a bet at all or sacrifice a little amount for them.
It's understandable because we have seen how strong their support for their is whenever they have games at home and I think it's okay as long as that bet won't ruin your budget.
Unwise especially if you know your team is not playing well in the whole season but if it gives them joy and fires up their cheering skills then I guess we should not hinder that.
I made my own mistakes betting for the Mavericks the whole Finals series and I am at lost but it made me enjoy watching the game more.

When I am gambling, I don’t always place a bet on clubs I am supporting when I know they are not in form or when I know clearly that they won’t really be winning the match. Even if I am a die hard fan of my club, I don’t always place a bet on them, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be supporting them if I don’t place a bet on them to win a match. I will always support them, but I know my bet is against them winning. If they end up winning, I will be happy that my club wins, but if they lose, I will feel bad that my club loses, but I will still be happy that I win.

Well betting against my club is actually one of my favorite things to do especially when they are not in good form besides its money we are using to stake these games and even though many people here are of the opinion that they prefer betting for fun, winning that bet would aslo be counted as part of that form so you don't expect me to see fire and actually put my hands in it.

The only time I bet against my favourite team is when they're in a very poor form and that doesn't happen often. When my team is in a poor form and they're playing a very good team hats in form it's a no brainer to know that your team would lose.
Another good thing about betting against your team is that if you lose the best that means your favourite team won, meaning you have something to be happy about. It's worse when you bet in your team to win but they don't win. That's like 2 loses in one.

When gamblers do this we can say they're gambling for entertainment because they know that their team are not in the position to win but because they enjoy watching their team play, they decided they net on them to win because they aren't after the money but passion for their team.

It is an obvious thing to do, it gets in the way of decision making. But I think it is crucial to be able to not be biased about betting. Because if you are betting for making money, you have to follow the statistics and the current team conditions. You cannot decide your bet based on which team you like or which ones has one of your close friends in or is from your alumni.

Some people (like me) would agree with you and put favouritism to one side when comes to betting, and only to focus maximizing profits with those bets. Actually in terms of betting we must always try to be on one side that is more likely to realize your hopes especially when you come with the aim of getting a win, regardless of whether you bet against the opposing team or against your own favorite team I think that mindset should remain the basis for decision making.

It would really be that totally depending into the approach of a certain bettor on which there would really be those individuals who would really be loving on seeing their teams/players to win up the game and not really just that they do only wanted or highly been favorite on which they are really that expecting something positive on which its a normal approach to have. Each bettor or person would really be having their own personal favorites on which deep inside you do really want them to win up the game despite of those unfavorable and disadvantage position. If you are really that focusing too much about making money then pretty sure you would really be betting against on your favorite team but if you are that kind of bettor on who do really loves on attaching
your emotions and really have that kind of passion towards a certain team, then you wouldnt really be minding up that much about on the things that circles around.
