Can You Submit KYC Before You Win Big

I know casinos do this. I have experienced it too. It is also in their T&C. My question for casino lovers is that instead of waiting until we win big and are asked to submit KYC documents, will you do it before the casino management or administrator request of it? Is there anyone who has gone ahead to fill out and submit their KYC on their account or by asking their customer support for it way before they even start make a request.

I think there should be not an issue if you do the KYC before the casino blocks you withdraw and ask for the KYC. Infact to be more realistic, why not do the KYC before even depositing at the casino, so that in case the casino do not accept your KYC for any reason, your funds are not stuck there.

The only exception for those casino that do not have any KYC compliance and you will not find any link to do the KYC. Rest if there is a KYC link, better do the KYC first and then deposit to gamble. Also, i do not recommend, going on the news site and do the KYC and gamble. Better stick to already established ones, so that you are confident to some extent that your KYC data is safe on the site.

Having read so many scam accusations against casinos and sportbooks having to do with withdraws and KYC tells me the best bet to avoid future problems is to do all this before you actually make a deposit, #Rule number 1!!

Don't give these guys a reason to hold onto your funds that you legitimately won without any foul play get back to the house for failing to pass KYC or not having the right documentation etc, otherwise before any win comes remember to pass your KYC and read T&Cs too to avoid any drama that can errupt with the bookie or casino because you never know when your big win might come!!!

Unless they ask me, I will probably not consider it...

The title of the thread doesn't match with your questions. Answering to the title of this thread: Yes, you can submit KYC before winning anything big, even before pacing any single bet or before making any deposits on a casino. All the old and reputable casinos have the KYC verification page on account settings. You don't need to reach live support for doing it.

Answering to your questions: No, gambler doesn't complete the KYC verification on their own (without the request of casino team). Still, a small number of gamblers (the big whale) complete the KYC verification before the request of the casino team, this practice is very rare in crypto casino.

It is always an option to submit our documents as soon as we sign up on a new casino. Though, I understand why most of people would avoid to do so right away when joining a new casino or bookie.
For example, if one is the kind of gambler who likes to try new services very often and like to diversify with several casinos, then it could be against our own interests (regarding the safeguard of our personal information) to immediately sent out documents to the staff of those casinos. In reality, gamblers who register in, for example, five casinos are not going to get enough profit for the casino to ask for KYC. So, it is a matter of common sense.

What would make sense to the average gambler? Having their personal information on five different servers of five different casinos or have their information asked by only one of those casinos when the time comes for them to withdraw a significant amount of money?

As a gambler, before registering on any casino and even go for depositing, you should ensure that you've confirm and read their kyc. This way you won't fall into situations where you are restricted from completing an identification process and during your withdrawal process. This have actually been said so many times on the forum. But some users like the op on that post won't play listening ears. Kyc becomes hard a bit when your funds have become too large or over the maximum limit so they would require you provide good and correct documents for identification. Some people would wait until they have been asked, why not just save yourself the trouble in first place.

If it is me, I will preferably chose to do kyc before even using that account. Sometimes it is frustrating when you have won a huge amount and may not be able to withdraw it do to not having a kyc activated. So to avoid problems it's better doing the kyc before gambling than wining before trying do kyc.

You usually wont have to ask customer support for KYC verification.  Most reputable online casinos sites lay out the whole KYC process on their website so it is easy to find.  Just poke around your profile settings for verification steps.  Get it over with right off the bat before you hit a big win on slots or tables.  That will save you from banging your head on the desk later when you finally land a juicy jackpot but they put an freeze on your winnings cause you didnt send in your driver's license six months ago.

I will wait until the casino asks for KYC. I am a private person and I have concerns about these casino asking for KYC. A scam casino could also ask for KYC too and because they work together with companies that acquire these data so that they can do it. The risk I take in submitting KYC depends on the amount involved. I do not do this for all casinos. If the casino has been in business for some years and have good reputation, I don't mind initiating the KYC process without being asked because I trust that based on their reputation, my personal information is safe with them.

Afaik you can (KYC before winning)? Definitely a lot better to do it beforehand anyway compared to being screwed by the casino when you just won. It wouldn't be odd as well if they halted the review process due to some bs "problems" that they had midway so you're money is just going to get stuck there indefinitely, thereby making you have no choice but to spend it again on playing. I guess it is a marketing strategy for them lol. As for the process, they usually have a dedicated page for the KYC process itself, no need to go through customer support (unless problems arise).

Honestly wish some sort of regulatory board for casinos required them to put up that the casino needs KYC beforehand in red bold letters in their signup page lol. Reading the ToS just for KYC isn't exactly everyone does after all.

In my case, I prefer to do KYC when I create an account before starting to deposit money at the casino and the reason for doing this is the following: nothing will give a 100% guarantee that the casino will accept my documents, so I prefer that As soon as I create an account, do KYC and wait for my documents to be approved by the casino and only after they are approved do I deposit money at the casino, this avoids the risk of me first depositing money at the casino, then winning a bet and at the time of withdrawal I am asked to do kyc and when I do kyc the casino rejects my documents. because there is no way for a person to complain when the casino rejects their documents

and people should be aware of this, because in the casinos' TOS they talk about asking for kyc at any time, they do not guarantee that they will approve people's documents when they do kyc and when a casino rejects a person's documents, even if that person complains , the casino can use many reasons to justify rejecting that person's documents and unfortunately that person will no longer be able to continue complaining and if they have money stuck in the casino, they will just have to accept that loss. this is why it is better for people to do kyc before depositing money into the casino in my opinion

Yes, I think I passed a KYC successfully even earlier, before my full involvement in using the casino.
 
This is not just on casinos; if you want to be on the safer side, once you see a platform you are making use of, have KYC enabled on them.
 
Even if they say it's not compulsory, I always deem it necessary to pass the KYC first before going ahead to use the casino or platform properly. It will save you from further explanation, especially when you know you will be using the casino for a very long time.

Any legitimate casino that might require KYC at some point, should allow you to submit it preemptively. It's not a bad thing to be able to give all the info they might need before you start rolling high amounts. It's quite common in banks and exchanges to be able to get any verification level you want even before you make your first deposit.

So if you do it voluntarily before you deposit large amounts its better both for you and them. Even if there's no option shown automatically at least a casino should be able to let you know via chat how you can do this if you let them know that you intend to become a high roller with your account. This level of accommodation is a must to keep important customers in my view.

Most of them will not demand for KYC from you as long as you are losing, but if you win and want to withdraw some money, they will go through your account and tell you to do necessary things before you can withdraw and requesting for your identity through KYC can be among the requirements.

The problem is that some gambling sites offer no KYC but when someone wins a big amount, they then ask for it. It could be surprising on our end as we never expect such a thing in the first place believing that what they have been said is true.
To ask if I have to comply with KYC. We have no option unless we don't want to get our money. That is why we should carefully choose a site where we use to gamble otherwise, we might compromise our privacy because we leave no option. In some cases, we never see KYC as mandatory on their terms but they implemented it when we win.

No, I won't. If there is no request for completing KYC process, why to do this voluntarily? It means extra bureaucracy and wasted time in a process which may never be requested from you by the house, so forget about it, unless the house demands it from you and you have to submit your personal informations in order to cashout a prize you have just won. Not only gamblers hate having KYC process, but also the casinos as well. The point is that they are enforced to introduce such feature on their platforms by the regulators.

Otherwise, they have no right to operate in many territories around the globe, what means probably many of the casinos we have disponible right now wouldn't be available in that case. For that reason, I'm sure they will do their best to avoid implementing KYC in high intensity as much as possible, and that is why we see only a small percentage of gamblers being requested to provide their data. I do not see the point of doing this. Do you easily give out your name and address to cashiers on stores you visit without them asking for it? At least have an important reason why you are giving out your personal information. I used to not care about it but I'm more careful about it now after all the online exploits that I've read.

And if you believe at some point you will win big because you are betting big also or you are consistently playing, then, at the very start of registration to the casino, make sure you are already entering actual details. Because if later on, it will not match your credentials, then, for sure, you will have problem accomplishing your kyc information. It may cause suspending or freezing your account. Because you know when players win big, most casinos will find a way not to pay or prolong the payment or find loopholes in your account. You would not blame any casino if they keep mute and a gambler plays and wins big after years of playing without winning one dime and all of a sudden it just happened that you had won a game believe me you, every casino would want to protect their interest by following every necessary procedures to see if  the winner is worthy of the rewards and if not, they prevent or bar you form withdrawal if they are fair enough in the  position to so so.
