It was moved to off-topic.

There are dangers from streaming matches from unofficial sites

Is this not what gamblers can discuss to help them against malware, scam and other online attacks?

I think it is better in gambling discussion than to trash it to off-topic board.

Most of topics on Security will be moved to Off-topic board. You have to accept that regulation and a probable highest destination of your thread, Off-topic.

Exception is if forum admins create a new sub board for topics on Security.

Discussion: "Cybersecurity and Privacy" board + Poll (request v1)
Community Vote: Add "Cybersecurity & Privacy" board to Bitcointalk.

You are right but that thread is specific to gamblers and not only cyber security. But it is majorly about cyber security. I see no reason why moderator moved it to off-topic. It neither belongs to off-topic where gamblers will not see it.

Off-topic is better than Trashcan. If moderator considers that reported topic is low value, it can be move to Off-topic. If it is zero-value, malicious, they can move it to Trashcan.

Mods can of course make mistakes just like regular users can as well. Users are also free to complain about mod actions in Meta. Sometimes things are also subjective. If we are talking about this thread below you could argue it could fit in maybe gambling discussion or maybe even rep or service discussion subs but I don't think it's wrong in off topic. I wouldn't disagree if it was sent to the trashcan either. People sometimes also have their own biases. I've seen people in the past complain about a thread being moved and they're mostly annoyed that they can't get paid for it in that specific sub.

It's not about gambling but technical advice, the entire topic does not address gambling or gambling services, but rather live streaming services and tips to avoid losing money from downloading this software.

We know somehow subscription on official platforms to stream live matches can be expensive and many has opt to use other platforms offering really lower fee or entirely free subscription for Live matches.

In my country this is somehow common and one thing I have noticed about such sites is that they are filled with various ads, which is obviously were they get their money.

Now, Jenny Radcliffe, a professional hacker, has claimed the risks of illegally streaming are huge. Here is her statement

If the topic is talking about software to manipulate gambling services or make profits from them, it can fall under gambling, but live broadcasting is part of entertainment, just like Netflix and Apple TV+.
