Pi network is a scam. They are stealing people's private data through KYC. They claim just a part of your balance is withdrawable but to withdraw it, you need to do KYC. After you give your KYC, when you try to withdraw, you find that the coin can't still be withdrawn.
In other to make people do the KYC, they are trading a fake Pi token on a popular exchange that has nothing to do with this pi. Seeing the large amount of their coins value, people don't realize it's fake and gives their data to the scammers. The pi scammers in return uses this data to do illegal activities and even sell them online.

Like said by the first poster above, Pi network is a scam and they are deceiving people that it is for real, making those people who are eager to mine new coins submit their data to them in disguise for access to withdraw the coins that have been mined by them. It end up that you cannot withdraw a dime from that network as I don't think that it is for real.

I have some neighbors around that are fed up of Pi network, because one of them told me that he has mined enough, and they tell him that he can use it to pay for goods, but he got angry when he was not given access to use it after several promises from the dev. There is nothing free in free town, so I would advise you not to waste your time on that coin, and look for a reputable coin to buy, and not to mine for free.

Mining with the phone is not worth it even it is legit but in the worst case like others said Pi network is a scam I have a friend who is mining with his phone and he has lots of coins on the app but the problem is no exchange can able to exchange Pi network and until now as they promise to launch the mainnet so that pi network is transferable or spendable to anyone but they never launch it and now they spreading news again that they are going to launch it to mainnet which is obvious a trap for newbies to force them to invest.

It's a scam and nothing else! You can mine Pi for years and then you will have to do a full KYC before you can withdraw them. Also Pi is not listed anywhere so you can't even sell the coin to earn money. Pi is more of a KYC scam yet to be uncovered and operating as an affiliate marketing network.

Think rationally, if people can mine this coin from their mobile phone without spending any money on electricity or mining rigs, why would someone buy that coin from the market. Wouldn't they just use their mobile to mine it?

almost a year ago I started mining PI network via their application and also their browser, I even bought about 5 new smartphones to speed up my mining but what I got, the coins I got still couldn't be sold because they weren't listed anywhere, Edveloper said they I'm working to research this token but in the end I stopped my mining activities and can only wait for what the developer promised

my conclusion is that the future of this token is still unclear, don't invest too much time in this token, even though it is reported that P2P transactions for this token are still widely available among the Pi Network community

After all these time, we are still talking about PI. That is really strange to see that project still exist and some people are talking about it. In most cases, a project loses its hype and community, but in terms of PI their community is still their. Though the hype is gone but the community still believes they will get something life changing from PI in the long run. But right now PI has become irrelevant as there are countless other projects with better features and functionality.

been hearing about the project for more years already and yet the main net has not yet been launched. now that is a scam that has been running without getting caught at all. i think all they need is a lawsuit and they will launch the mainnet lol and that is when they are going to be caught scamming.

i'm sure it is a waste of time. this is a strategy of a scam and seems like a long-term scam.  after a year from now, the bull run is over yet this PI network will still not have its live mainnet.

That certainly makes mining more accessible and surely I know many people will be interested in mining and if they could do it only in their phones will definitely be of great help.

I mean if they can further improve on something I think they should do it and they should take their time. Some people might grow hesitant but I believe if it is for the better then why not

Look, I get why folks want to believe in this Pi Network thing.  The idea of mining free crypto on your phone sounds pretty neat and  and hey, who wouldnt want some magical internet money for nothing? But lets be real - if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. 

As far as I can tell Pi Network is basically vaporware at this point.  They make all these fancy claims about building a cryptocurrency mainnet someday, but its all just promises so far.  And even if they do launch it, what guarantee is there that the coins will have any value? You cant actually use Pi for anything right now.

Plus, I gotta wonder what exactly they are doing digging around in people's phones in the name of mining.  That sets off some alarm bells for me.  Legit cryptocurrencies dont work that way for a reason - it opens up security risks and privacy concerns.

Maybe Im being too cynical here.  ButUntil I see some real proof that Pi Network is more than smoke and mirrors Im not going to waste my time on it.

It cant be called a crypto if it doesnt have its own blockchain. Period!

I have seen this coin that existed for years now and there are tons of people who had been hoping that they would be getting rich because if PI coin and even see that there are some p2p trades.
Dont know on what comes up into their mind on how they cant be able to realize that they are dealing with something shit?  

Ive seen some shops or businesses accepts PIcoin too on which its not really that bad but something to deal up with having no blockchain?
You do know on where it could possibly be ending up or its obvious on where it would be heading.

I've been hearing that and there's no interesting out there. For how many years that I've been on this market, I've always seen people telling and asking about this project. One answer and it's very simple, it's a total waste of time. If you have a lot of important things to do, you should do something else that is more productive than related to this.

Well I'm beginning to see pi network as a waste of time reason is because they keep talking about launching their mainnet but up till now they haven't launch the mainnet and a lot of people are beginning to see it as a scam project, I think anybody who's still hoping to gain something from the project is just wasting his time, because is obvious that the project is scam.

This is a 2019 project that in my opinion is not progressing well, because it's been 5 years and from what I've read the mainnet hasn't been launched yet, so in those 5 years what exactly were they doing? I remembered that I had already read an article talking about them last month, I went searching and found it:

AIMultiple analyst Cem Dilmegani claimed that Pi Network will probably not benefit users, stating, “[w]e don’t expect anyone except the founders to benefit from PI Network in a significant way.” That’s because it “works like a direct selling or affiliate marketing system, promising future rewards to users for bringing in new users.” Dilmegani claimed that the affiliate marketing system is used to drive traffic to the app, which is, in turn, used to sell advertising for the benefit of the app’s developer. “Founders are already benefitting from the app,” Dilmegani stated, as they “launched optional video ads at launch to monetize the active user base.”

Dilmegani acknowledged that the Pi team could eventually launch a blockchain mainnet. However, he argued that this was unlikely because it would cause the token to rapidly fall in value as users sold into the market. “Then, the coin would not be valuable enough for people to keep on logging in to click,” which would potentially eliminate the value of the app to advertisers.

To be honest, I do not advise people to invest in this project, it seems to me that the creators of this project are not very motivated with the development of the project but rather with the marketing and profits that the project is giving them, so people should be far from these types of projects. I also didn't understand why OP talked about decentralization in this project when from what I understand it is a centralized project. It's difficult or impossible to talk about kyc and decentralization since the objective of kyc and governments is to have control over people, so I hope the op doesn't put money into this project, it's better to put money into bitcoin which is very reliable

Running these mining apps for a long time, I don't think there is any benefit to the users. I have been running this app for three long years and I have not been able to get my KYC verification till now so I think this app may not be beneficial for users like us. However, the app's authorities have claimed that its development will continue for a few more years and will allow users to sell mining tokens in the market.

Pi network has been a name for just too long. I thought they finally got listed, or not? Well,  I’ve been hearing about the mining for years and I don’t understand how such event will go on for so long and wondered how the price would move when it got listed because there’s just too many people mining it as they have described. It has been talked online for years already, and I don't know if there's anybody that hasn't heard of it at least once anymore. Everybody knows that project already, and it has been developing for years. Many especially those who mined for a long time using their smartphones have been waiting for the mainnet to launch, but until now, there hasn't been any.

All that they have is hype and nothing more. Project? I don't think that they will even launch it anytime soon. Many promoted it already, and many are still waiting for the project to launch. I don't want to say that the project is a scam, but I don't think that they're legitimate as well. They launched KYC in their app months ago, but until now those who given their personal information hasn't been rewarded until now. I don't recommend spending time on this shitty project. We've seen new projects popping out through airdrops and they develop their project way shorter than PI Network.

I would suggest to just stay away from this project at all cost.

I never install that pi mining apps. Even if i was invited by my close friends i never install that apps because i have a feeling that it is a waste of time, nothing will give you free coins so i don't believe on it. Even airdrops coins is very hard to earn now a days before they will give you coin you need to advertise thier social media and earn penny. So for me there is no other safe way to earn than investing or buying and holding coins and sell if there is a good profit.

A lot of time has passed, I'm really amazed that people are still chirping about Pi. I don't think the long running Pi mining app will play any useful role in future. Once upon a time Pi mining apps had a lot of hype and many people were attracted to it, now it seems that the hype has started to die down. Pi Network wants to re-enter the discussion but I don't think it can be erase the stigma.
