If you are planning to get profits that are stable but not high, then go for alts with high marketcap or popularity. The risk involved here will be less and there will be more chances that you will make good profits for them. If you ask me personally then I would prefer Bitcoins over the alts. DCA is a good strategy to buy any coins or tokens to the dip price but even if you do it to coins or token you like without a deep research about the coins/token you are planning to keep DCA you might end up earning negative profit.

So if you want to avoid them better do it only to the top 10 coins listed on Coinmarketcap and coingecko but the only problem is other altcoins are way more volatile than the current top 10 coins. If you are a risk taker you can do DCA to any altcoins from the top 100 just make sure to diversify them because some altcoins are not performing well and old coins like TRX is not performing nice these days even the price of BTC drop it keeps increasing.

Right now is the perfect time to buy alts and even bitcoin. Everything is down. The market is undergoing a post-halving correction period. I think every invesor should do their research and invest in coins that have massive potential, alongside relatively safer options, and of course BTC for a diverse and strong portfolio. Honestly, Ive got mixed feelings on those communities pushing hot crypto tips.  Although, DCA-ing seems wise to me too. Takes some emotion out of the investing process.

As for the call on a coming dip Id need to know if thats based on charts & models or just speculation.  Not saying Id ignore experience-based hunches - this game has lots of unseen currents.  But backing it with data would make the warning resonate more.  Whats the group seeing that suggests rougher waters ahead?

Do you think at some point in the future the coins you are looking at will be a higher price then they are now?  If the answer is yes than sure why not.  Don't try to time the market especially the altcoin market.  Way too difficult to define.  Find a point where you are comfortable and come in.  If you think it will dip then just cost average in over time so you aren't all at risk.

You may be quite nervous because now it has decreased but on the other hand your prediction says it will decrease again you may be able to use the DCA method to take the average price if in doubt enter all now with a lump sum.
Actually this is the right moment if you have analyzed a certain coin where it will potentially go up in the short term but you expect until June it is over for DCA.
Remember the market is unpredictable we can't do anything about it, we optimistically hope there is another bounce for a recovery soon.

DCA until you can, whether you'd set a schedule for that or you're going to do it for as long as you can then, that's okay.
But you've got some good thoughts in here and it's the same as everybody saying to buy while we're on the dip.
Take advantage of it and we'd see some recovery period from now on, those that have bought will see their profits and those that don't will regret.

Just expect everything can happen from here and there. The sudden dip that we've experienced was expected and if the rise will come anytime from now on, it's also expected. Meaning to say that everyone should get themselves expect the best and worst of this market. But the most patient ones are going to wait until next year for the cycle to happen once again.

I think it's not the right time to buy altcoins or any other coin except BTC. The market condition after halving had became so much volatile that investing in these type of conditions had became very risky moreover the coins are fluctuating too much right now.

It's better to wait some time and then get the market analysis so that the data could be more accurate without fluctuations to predict.

No we are not yet in the bear but the market is only experiencing a small correction. Despite of it, many still considers the current state of the market as bullish and we are like this a long time ago but they think it will still continue for a couple more months. This is great and it's like a come back for the long bear we had last 2022 up to 2023.

Finding the right crypto will only be an issue if you are completely new here but if you are dedicated, you will figured out the steps slowly but surely like asking to a crypto forum such as Bitcointalk apart from doing a manual research in the web. Before we start, all of us already know the risk in investing but as a starter it's always recommended to start small even if you are capable of using high amounts.

DCA has done wonders for me when it comes to Bitcoin and I guess it would be work out similar for Altcoins as well but still I am still skeptical about DCA for Altcoins because the way Bitcoin's price moves is completely different than the ones in Altcoins as there are chances that we may be buying a coin repeatedly at dying price and not see profit.

I think rather we need to wait for right movement for investing into Altcoins that is rock bottom bear market or else at the begining of bull run. which we may be approaching. I would say at this moment we can only invest into established large market cap coins.

Yeah you are right but only if someone is planning for long term holdings and investments. There are both type of people some want to get profits on daily or weekly trades so for them I don't think it's the right time to do the investments as the market is very volatile now.

Waiting for a bit is more suitable because the market will get stable after the dump and then the short term investments will come into play.

Investing in alts is always risky specially if you are doing this all without any search or work because you never know when any project is going to be dumb so better thing try to invest in solid projects which are going for years and having good reputation in community but still if you are able to do search and have enough time to give then you can go for the few other projects as well because these will be give you better profit, and you will be able to have good knowledge about crypto community as well which is good and surely helpful for the peoples in the future.
Currently, we are not in bear trend it's just correction which is going to be turned in bear or bull so right now having just investment in few top coins with keeping eye on all market is good for all.
