Not just the new tokens, people lose a lot of money investing in preexisting tokens and coins. It doesn’t matter what cryptocurrency you want to invest for you to be cautious; it is a general thing. Good advice, I still face more challenging fluctuations before that happens. The choosing person could be dellutional by now, the market was volatile enough to cause me headache. My eth funds wasn't that big compared with other rich traders, so I'm struggling a lot of time deciding to buy small cap alts. Though there's potential coins, but I still bet the strong and popular coin because the advantages is there already.

Several of the top alt coins went up a lot when Bitcoin price peaked if you look at Ethereum crossed $4k, also Solana was above $200 and BNB went above $600. Later the coins took quite a correction, although currently the price of BTC is increasing so the coins are starting to pump. The future of the top coins is very difficult to predict, but if the bull run continues, the value of the coins may increase further. So it is a good decision to invest in the top coins at present, it seems that they are going to break their past records in terms of value very soon.

though that is good to have DCA in this moment now the market is still showing up and down
things that we must understand a hard way to decide if you are not willing to keep holding.

I suppose it was a rhetorical question, in which you ask a question but you answer it by yourself, however while buying some top altcoins is not wrong, since bitcoin has not achieved anything even remotely close to its full potential, it seems to me it is a way better idea to buy all the bitcoin we can afford, and only once we are close to the top then we can invest in altcoins, to capture the altcoin season that should be on its early stages at that time.

At the moment, many potential altcoins are in a good price range if a person is thinking about investing. Many of them are way down from their ATH. DCA is a good strategy when it comes to investing in ETH or BTC. Other altcoins like meme coins do not particularly go well with DCA because of their frequent price pump and dump. If you have the money, buy some good altcoins and wait for a few months, you will significantly increase your profit margin.

Yeah you are right but only if someone is planning for long term holdings and investments. There are both type of people some want to get profits on daily or weekly trades so for them I don't think it's the right time to do the investments as the market is very volatile now.

Waiting for a bit is more suitable because the market will get stable after the dump and then the short term investments will come into play.

Investing in alts is always risky specially if you are doing this all without any search or work because you never know when any project is going to be dumb so better thing try to invest in solid projects which are going for years and having good reputation in community but still if you are able to do search and have enough time to give then you can go for the few other projects as well because these will be give you better profit, and you will be able to have good knowledge about crypto community as well which is good and surely helpful for the peoples in the future.

It seems like an interesting idea, but you also have to put a strategy in place, otherwise the price could end up being even lower after we buy it. I personally monitor the graph for at least 1 month, what is the graph pattern, if it is really going down, then set buy, if it just goes up and appears in the 1 or 4 hour time frame, I ignore it for now and continue with other selections.

Bitcoin is still leading the cryptocurrency and before f your want to tell someone to invest in the altcoins don't tell the person that bitcoin is falling aso he should invest in altcoins because altcoins is going to dominate the ecosystem and that should be a wrong orientation.
