Sorry to say that you are just misleading your friend in this situation and will probably make him to lose more. In a situation like this of your friend, you should have just tell him the plain truth regardless of whether he may listen or not. Let him understand what gambling is all about and there's no guarantee of making profits in return. If he's so concerned about making profits then he should take a break if the profit is not satisfactory. Its a game but the biggest risk taken by a gambler is they think they are owed a win.    I'd bet more after a loss often with the idea of winning back what I just loss, it is that idea of justice being deserved a win after a loss surely follows.

Its not a good line of logic, you arent owed anything exactly but I do think its common to bet until you win.  The idea might be you win and get back everything spent but that wont always be the case.  Also until you win, you havent won the game or played it entirely and people hate to walk away unfinished.

That's a worse state of gambling addiction, when the gambler can not again realized that they are addicted even when being told. Although, addicted gamblers also fall in the advantage of making profit from their bets because they don't usually lose all their bets but they don't make good use of their winning but will rather spend it all on gambling. Well said, the one's that does not make it a priority also Wana win but they accept the uncertainties involved in gambling which removes them from the expectations level as others, taking gambling as fun can also be addictive, and lead to undesired losses if not limited, and Moderated.
