Not really. Only admins can do it but they rarely do. Just create a new account since you're only a Jnr Member.

It's rare to happen, it's more like on privacy reasons to the extent it only happens to some users who wants to quit here and forget their usernames.
Well, some active users have very good reasons for theymos accepting their request. I once requested before but failed lol.

On platforms like BTT and others, we sometimes don't see the need to choose a name that would be used for a long period of time, especially at the beginning of registration. Maybe it's just a new user thing, which I think is common. Later on, we begin to look for ways to change names, especially when we've found a cool one

I personally don't support creating and abandoning accounts for various reasons, especially when the stakes aren't severe. But if you wish to proceed with your intentions, then you can follow the advice given to you in the first reply.

I do not think there is anything useful that can be added to this thread anymore, it is very clear that theymos or Cyrus can not change the username for Lucusfoundation. His account is still kind of new with no much effort. He can just create a new account.

It would be good if this thread is just locked.

Some members have successfully changed their usernames. Most of the names that were changed were high-ranking members. I assume that they gave a genuine reason for the change of name request and in most cases, it is associated with maintaining privacy. You have made about 84 posts, that's big and you have earned some merit, so it might not be easy to abandon the account. It will be better to create a new account but if you are really desperate to change your user name you can send PM to moderators and keep waiting for their response. There is no time prediction for their response, you will have to wait.

I agree--but I just want to add that while it is possible to get a name change (hilariousandco must know that, too) I'm not sure if Theymos would do one for a low-ranked member or not.  All of the name changes I've seen have been done for higher-ranked members, and I assume the reasoning behind that is that if Theymos started granting such changes to Jr. Members, newbies, or even Members, his inbox would be absolutely flooded with requests.

OP, your Copper Membership might complicate things since you paid for that title.  In any case, Theymos advised me that if you don't get a response from him in something like 2 weeks to a month, you just have to keep reminding him.  I'd take the previously given advice and just start up a new account if I were you, though.

Actually I won't consider it as a rare occasion especially from the fact that some members of the forum were granted last year till now, the best criteria for his picking is base on   The Sceptical Chymist reply

After reading your comments, I will keep with this one.
The reason for it is that it is an old account and it has seen my history creating different crypto startups. A new announcement is coming soon and it shall be under this name although the business has a different one.

Well, he actually did change the user name for a newbie!

If it's due to exposure of something that is a concerning factor of someone's privacy then theymos will likely consider it for sure irrespective of rank.
