They tell you what you want to hear so as to draw your attention and make you invest. This is a major cause of regret for newbie investors because they were not told all they needed to know about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large. In order to avoid regrets as a newbie, first research whatever investment option that is brought before you, especially crypto investment that involves high risks. I do tell most people that I know that they shouldn’t believe everything they see on social media, just a few are true. But IMO in the Bitcoin universe there is another kind of people : ones denying their losses. For sure they have failed stories no people earns success without passing on many challenges. Maybe people only discuss their success its because they want to brag their achievement and make people think about they are so successful in life thru the bitcoin investment they taking on. Some success are good enough to be shared  cause it can motivate to other such us successful in Bitcoin investment. Someone who has failed before and later succeeded will always want to be sounding their success stories. No one wants to associate with failure or always remember failure. I made it out alive, but it was never easy, every success story has its past struggles and many people won't want to share that maybe because it was ugly or embarrassing, i as a person do not care.

I went through hell to have a better change in life, from starvation to heavy stress on my body, I have to walk miles everyday to get to where I am going, and still keep money to invest in Bitcoin.

Since 2016 to 2021 I have hunted for more than 500 different airdrops to make extra money so that I can buy more Bitcoin, there is no cloud mining websites I don't know, there is no faucets websitess I don't know, I did it all.

In the end I got lucky multiple times, I made some life-changing money, even from airdrops, and the man who stood with me all along encouraging me to never give up ended up dead the same year that I became financially free, this life is not balanced.

I myself got sick that I narrowly escaped death, and that was because of the stress that I put myself through in the past years, I paid the price.

Some have the notion that failures by oneself is not suppose to be disclosed to be public. They grow and learn through it by themselves without having to bother anyone about those failures. Success stories are more prevalent everywhere and this is not even about bitcoin but even in real life situations. Sharing your failures is not bad, since people can get to learn from them as you’ve said. This is not entirely true. I see a lot t stories of people who went about bitcoin and crypto the wrong way and they failed and learnt from that failure both on thie forum and social media. It's not just success stories that people tell about bitcoin. People also point how their mistakes and how it ruined them. Actually I think that's the reason why most people vow not to go into crypto investment, due to the risk that is involve and there's no way you're going to convince them to go into crypto investment  mostly when it has to do with money they're always careful to avoid losing their money. However if you want your future to be a successful one you need to take risk, just imagine those earlier investors who take the risk to invested in bitcoin when Bitcoin has no value and they where patient enough to hold on to it till this time, I think most of them are millionaires by now, that is one advantage of taking risk though sometimes you can also experience lose  but that's not the end will still continue, because that's how the market is sometimes.

That is life for you. Even outside this forum it is very rare to see people taking much about their failure this is just because they do not feel comfortable with it instead they would prefer to talk more about their success.  Successful story is a good one to talk about and other people also learn from it. One of the reasons why people don't like saying their failure in the past sometimes people looks at it somehow,  like it shouldn't have been a mistake to happen, which also can make one to look stupid, so people feel when something bad their is is no need to talk about it .
