cryptomixer .io is selective scamming

As I suspect, I'm not the only one who has had this issue with cryptomixer .io

48 hours ago sent coins to the generated wallet but never received them back in the final destination wallet. I have the wallet address I sent to showing the funds sitting in there as well as the transaction ID. I reached out to support and they asked if I have the letter of guarantee, which I don't since I never had issues prior. My guess is whenever there is a decent deposit sent they try to with hold the funds and ask if you have the guarantee hoping you do not.

Anyone else have this issue not receiving funds from cryptomixer .io? Any ideas how to resolve or am I victim to another one of the million crypto scams?


EDIT: the fact they are edited to [banned mixer] is really all I need to see..

It should be assumed that all custodial mixers are scams and can steal your money at any point. They know most people aren’t bothering to verify their letter of guarantee and selectively scam their users. Usually this won’t cause them any reputational damage because any proof that might have existed is now gone and there will be plenty of shills hoping to get into their altcointalks campaign coming to their defense, however, Cryptomixer has had some stability problems lately and this all could be an indication they are exit scamming.

Sorry but this is silly mistake done by you not saving what you should, and you can't blame them for that  
You also didn't show a single proof for your claims and I didn't see any other recent bad reports about that service.

All mixers are now edited with the same text by admin, and no they are not all scams, they are just not allowed here because of updated forum rules.

There's a reason the letter of guarantee is always there, and you are asked to download it. We have so many phishing sites lying around. How are they supposed to know if you attempted to mix coins through their platform or through a phishing site you might not be aware about?

I will only believe they selectively scammed you by refusing to get you back your money even after presenting the requested letter of guarantee.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I hope that the amount I mixed was not too large. It is always better not to risk large amounts. If the site is new to you, it is better to try with a small amount to avoid problems so that the loss is less.

You should also have downloaded the letter of guarantee because it is what guarantees your right to recover your money when problems occur, but you should not despair and consider that you have lost your money forever. You should continue trying to contact support, perhaps you will get an acceptable solution.

If it's relevant or something that needs to be talked about, you can actually discuss mixers here, another thing, the ban if I recall was in the promotion, recommendation, and the unnecessary discussion of it especially if the topic doesn't remotely involve mixers and in this case, it seems to me that this is within the realm of mixer centric discussion so I think that this one gets a pass plus, wouldn't it be nice if people still report scam mixing services to the forum so people can know which one to avoid? You can still use mixer outside the forum.

Now with your issue OP, I'm proud that you did chalk it up to a loss, that's the only way that I can see this kind of thing going anyway, you can't really do much if you don't want the hassle of having to chase after these people but I hope that you put in some complaints though, would really help others to put a case against this mixer if there's enough people talking about it.

Unfortunately there are no other idea left for you when you did not save the letter of guarantee. To receive help, you need to prove that you sent the funds which you can not now. There are no guarantee that you are not faking the accusation. If you are not faking then I hope the mistake will not cost you a lot that you can not recover yourself from the loss.

I didn't sent proof to a forum of random people because I don't want everyone having access to my wallet. Crazy me, I know.

I did send all the proof needed except the letter of guarantee to them. The reason I didn't save the letter is because I've transacted 2-3x per week for over a year without issue. Not sure why they decided to randomly not send these coins aside from the fact they randomly scam and hope people don't have the letter saved.

If the mixer automatically mixes and sends the coins then there should have been ZERO issue. If it's a manually process, well then that's called selective scamming hoping the sender didn't save the letter of guarantee which I admit was my mistake trusting ANYONE in this space.

Regardless I hope whoever they are suck a dirt di**.

Than you could actually have all the right to accuse them for scamming, and nobody could question if that actually happened or not.

Your intention is good, to warn crypto users about this mixer, because there are many such websites in the crypto market to scam crypto users to exit with money. Mixer has been banned on bitcointalk so mixer is not discussed on bitcointalk.

Sorry for your loss, not getting your coins back which is disappointing for you, and hope you didn't send large amounts of funds to this mixer to mix. This is a big warning for crypto users to stay away from this mixer.

I looked at all the reviews on bittrust, and honestly, most of the feedback doesn't seem to be written by someone who knows what they're writing about. Maybe there really is something in what you are saying, but it is certainly not expressed in the right way.

The same thing is with you, without a letter of guarantee, your claim does not mean much. We don't even know if you were on the original site at all. The fact that you have used them for years, every week (as you claim) does not confirm the fact that the mistake is not on your side, but on the contrary, despite so much experience, you do not download the only document that can confirm your order. A very naive mistake on your part.

I have known that mixer for a good time. it's probably the oldest mixer that is still operational. While we can not rule out the fact that they could exit scam, but if they wanted to scam, they would have done it a long time ago. There is even a case where a user had a huge amount of BTC stuck in their platform, but they refunded the complainant.

The mixer used to get issues such as downtimes and slow support responses, but they would always get back the BTC to the affected users. You can check their now archived thread to see the history of complaints and resolutions.

Do not use CryptoMixer, they have a connection with yomix who are also scamming their users and in addition are possibly ran by the same group/entity with ties to North Korea.

Only use mixers that are listed here. Others could end up being fake websites.

How do you know that cryptomixer is connected with y0mix in any way?
I didn't see any evidence for that, and it would be very interesting to read anything connected with this case.
I am not trusting any of previously mentioned services but I like to deal more with facts than speculations.

I am judging it based on the XSS screenshot that icopress shared in the post that I linked which shows evidence of the two services running on the same IP addresses as well as others like Blender, Sinbad, ...

It's not conclusive obviously, but I don't want to be taking any risks here.

OK I see now, based on this screenshot all mentioned mixers apparently used the same server and IP address before.
We already knew for blender/sinbad are the same thing, but I didn't know they had any connection with other two mixers.
Good that you removed them all from your Bitmixlist.
