I was in a car yesterday returning back from work, I over heard one man complaining very bitterly that he doesn't know where this country is heading anymore. That he got 3 children and he have tried his best he worked very hard to make sure his first son and daughter becomes full time graduated from anything concerning school side, says but it seems his efforts was wasted cause up till now the children haven't gotten good work with the good grade they had.

They have applied to many companies most of them will tell them to bring money before starting, and it's not a little amount of money that you'll just wake up and get it immediately, then his daughter had the chance to work as a government worker but one man with a big stomach was asking her to sleep with him before anything else. That he wish those times he was wasting time working so hard to trained them in school he would have rather paid for them to learn an and work.

But I saw it in news earlier this day's that the president tinubu is giving 5000, NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICES CORPS(NYSC) you can check it more on here
https://nairametrics.com/2024/05/14/fg-to-empower-5000-entrepreneurial-nysc-members-with-n10-million-each/

And with this it seems school it's important in Nigeria, cause if it's not important the FG wouldn't have be focusing to give out such amount out to the (NYSC). I know their are so many graduates at there not working yet. Do we still believe the government are going to do something about this work issues? Why not just be like as you're graduating you're working directly no wasting time. Wouldn't it be nice that way? I say make I try explain my mind. Waiting you got to talk about this issue?

Nigeria is a country that the government don't understand how to pilot the country affairs forward because they are incompetent and did not merit the offices that they are handling. This is why everything is upside down in the country, and I don't think that a youth should hope in our government for job provision for them because the government does not even know how to generate new job opportunities, what they only know how to do is to steal our funds, oppress and arrest people.

Currently, with the way things are in the country, it is better for anyone being graduate or not to learn a skill because there is no way that you will not have people that will need your service is you are very good at that skill. Also the youths of Nigeria needs to be creative and learn how to take advantage of the opportunities around them in order for them to be able to provide a good life for themselves.

Education is not a waste, if not people will not forge certificates that they went to school.

their something i noticed about Nigeria, Nigeria is a sweet country but we all know that it's our leaders who are making things difficult for the citizens. I no go lie you i been dey in this shoes way this man children dey pass through, before i realizes say for this country na help yourself cause nobody go help you out. for me I don't think if the government can make a provision for the youth's, to get a faster job when graduating from school because right now what they're focusing it's not even related to jobs in Nigeria. So for me I support you the only way to survive as graduate in Nigeria, you have to have a skill because with the skills you won't be depending on those people that doesn't even have time to look towards their citizens. So education it's important but only when you've a greater opportunity to jobs in Nigeria.

them feel say corruption na only when election time reach or to thief money, this na still corruption but them no go see am like that because them dey benefit from am. Person go take years for school battling all day just to get that certificate after everything all your stress and pains, go go for searching for jobs mean why some people are not even stressing their self for it. I done see person way be say him grade no even reach to work but since he get person for their all those no concerns am again, but e get some people way be say their grades only fit make them the head of the company but because them no get person he no dey go anywhere. This are corruption mean why no be say the government then no know waiting they happen infact na them their selves they do the things there. E no good make the government try understand their citizens pains.

Education wey we see so past wetin we dey think am because no be to get work be the only reason for person to go school, plenty things dey wey follow am, if we go school e dey bring big difference between person wey no go skull, this one alone fit make person go school.

Government no fit employ us all because the population too plenty na why dey dey initiate all this scheme to help reduce rate of unemployment in the country and again wetin i reasons again dey some course wey if we do am finished we no fit set up anything related to dat course because say things wey you go use start am you got need big money to take start am and no be everybody fit get am, so i dey advised anybody wey dey close to me wey wan go school make dey go study course wey if him finish in fit be self employed if really dey wan survive the country.

Education dey really important for Nigeria, no mind say as we dey do like this o, we take education seriously but the problem be say na to get work after school, na make they say make person no just depend on one thing, after make some people wey no get office work or government work, go learn skill, make you employ yourself, because government work no go reach everyone and education dey good because e go fit help u carry u go far and some kind opportunity fit reach u, make we no just dey go school because of work, na this kind mentality dey cause some say school na scam meanwhile dem no fit fill form for bank or fit write their name without person to help them.

The education for Nigeria might not be as great as we want it especially when we talk generally about the public education system of the country. But that does not cancel out the fact that we are well educated In Nigeria and in case you want to know, I can guarantee that we can also compete with the world in terms of innovation and workable knowledge. What we have gotten as an extra armor is our level of smartness as people and how we can quickly use our intuition to make things work for us.

The government only needed to get our education more equipped and get us more sufficated and consistent curricular to work with and that's all. Another thing we need from our government is for them to open up more opportunities for people. When people work, let them be able to find value from it. Instead of just being a degree, let it also be about the skills thst can immediately get us more exposed to the world technological opportunities.

the best thing that I would like the government to do must concerning about the work opportunities, let them set a goal that once you're graduating from high school. At school their not when you get home you're instantly going over to work immediately. Not stopping and start looking for work tomorrow no, that isn't right as an graduate with a better degree holder. So the government should put this in mind and have a little conscious that the children have gone a long way, and their parents are expecting something good from them. So making it seems as if education isn't important anymore so for me they should make a strong plan towards the work aspect, not looking at it as if it's not affecting the citizens or the graduates in the country. The leaders should think about it and see through it.

Education may seem irrelevant in a country run by illiterate and corrupt leaders who view literate citizens as major antagonists because they can read, analyze, and critique government actions and decisions. Currently, international governments, particularly in the United Kingdom, USA, and Canada, are seeking educated Nigerians. Nigerian nationals, thriving in their endeavors, have proven to be strong competitors to other immigrants. This demonstrates that education is not a scam, but a valuable asset.

just as you said that the United Kingdom, USA and Canada, that they're seeking educated Nigerians. Nigerian national thriving in their endeavors, but what about here our country Nigeria, are the government ever seeking for the educated ones to prove to them that they are valuable and excellent to participate with them as a leaders as well. Or make a provision for more work opportunities in this country, so we will know that being an graduate or having a good degree isn't just a joke thing. And put it in back of our mind that educated it's not a irrelevant thing at all but very very important to the nation or to the world itself. But our leaders seems to take education as if it's something you'll just wake up in the morning and become one day, not knowing that it took a long way and their was a focus towards being an graduate to make things better with our degree and our institutions. So all I blame is the government not the youth's anymore, cause right now the youth's don't longer see education as an important thing anymore in this country we are.

I really support you for this talk and I know whether I go talk say, this country wey we dey so, say everybody just dey on their own because government dey really do things wey dey make us they think, everybody just dey on their, just imagine as education just be like this, for other countries, dey take education as one of the important thing for their lives but see us, we dey always talk say , education na scam, because of wetin we no fit gain from, imagine how many years person go spend for school, we go come, to see job self na war and if we see self, we go dey see work wey no fit even solve our problems half self, so I no blame anybody wey say school na scam although e dey good to go school o.

Yes oo education still dey important for our country no matter all these issues wey dey go on for our country the main matter na to throw away face like say u no see anything wen dey happen make u sef for get ur own certificate take answer the name graduate because at anytime opportunity fit come for person to take survive.
But my only advice for our country people for this our country wey dey do schooling make sure say u get something wey u dey take survive (eg) handwork because u fit still finish the school but no work na this same handwork wen u learn go back u up financially.

So any how e be if u get the opportunity to go school make u grab am.

Waiting you got to talk about this issue?

education really dey very important to the country but just that, the leaders are the ones making it seems like it's not important here in our country. But if you go to other countries they value the Nigerian for their education degree but here it seems not valuable to our leaders, I won't blame the man because he have gone through many things before trying to make his children to finish up with school. For my own opinion I want the leaders to set up a goal for more workers opportunities in the country that's the major issues that we are facing right now, and those set of people being on the position of helping the educated ones to get a work in the country are not help at all. Either they make things more difficult for ourselves and for the youth's, right now what's is going on now in this Nigeria is that if you don't have some one on top you can't get a job. And that's terrible thing ever.

They have applied to many companies most of them will tell them to bring money before starting, and it's not a little amount of money that you'll just wake up and get it immediately, then his daughter had the chance to work as a government worker but one man with a big stomach was asking her to sleep with him before anything else. we all know how this country dey go mostly when it comes to work experts, our leaders no dey even dey shake body at all but when it comes to their own children them go start to set pass. That idea way you talk say make they put more effort towards the work opportunities e no bad but those people way you see there no care if work dey or not, you see this our country right now the only way to help our graduates na for them to just get an hand work. So that after when you graduate you no go dey wait for the government to provide work cause we all know say them no care, so the only way na to learn a work for ourselves that's my opinion.

OP, if we must be honest about this whole job issue, it will be extremely difficult for government to create an automated system of employment where immediately you leave the school environment as a graduate or after you have obtained your NYSC, you will automatically get employment, let's say, probably, from the organization you served. It will be difficult because these organizations will easily get over bloated with their staff capacity and it won't be able to Harbour for the new intakes as many of these organizations do not really have a spacious working environments or even permanent offices. And when you also talk about the welfare system, it's already a poor one and bringing new corps members every year to work in the organizations without discarding the previous ones won't be realistic even when we take those corps members as temporary staffs.

Let's make this analysis together. According to an online publication made by ThisDay newspaper about 3 years ago, the Director General of the Budget Office of the Federation mentioned that the federal government still maintains a total number of 943 MDAs (Ministries, Departments and Agencies) and 541 corporations across the country and they are highly complaining of how to downsize the number of those MDAs and Corporations which also brought about the discussions around the implementation of the Oronsaye report proposed by this government suggesting that some of these MDAs be collapsed, merged or scraped especially those that have similar job descriptions in the bid to reduce the cost of governance in the country.

Now, lets just take this aforementioned as an example and sample it with the number of graduates and NYSC corps members the country provides every year. In another online publication made by Vanguard newspaper in last year, over 400,000 youths graduate from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme annually. I think these numbers are enough for us to make our analysis now.

Okay, so let's combine the total number of MDAs and Corporations in the country and it will give us about 1,484 in total then let's do the math. When you divide the total number of the total number of corps members in 1 year by MDAs and Corporations. You will have an average of 269 corps members shared across those workplaces. Now let's multiply this by 10 years. It will give you an average of 2,695 corps members deployed to those workplaces, how do you then get to pay them? Let's even join the states and LGAs, can they really sustain such things, absolutely no.

So, alternative, I will suggest the government to pay more attention to the Small and medium-sized entreprizes, which are the major employers of jobs across all the world. In countries where we see jobs almost everywhere, the government must have provided the ease of doing business to those small business owners to allow their businesses and markets flourish, while government still provides a strong and an additional value chain for them. But in Nigeria, life is a hell for any SMEs out there and that have greatly influenced the employment opportunities of the countries and the way of living by extension.

Education is indeed a broader concept that goes beyond formal schooling. It's about acquiring knowledge, skills, and perspectives that enable us to grow, adapt, and make a positive impact in our communities. In Nigeria, and perhaps spme countries there is a limited view of education as solely being about obtaining degrees. However, learning about topics like Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and personal finance are essential aspects of education that can empower individuals to make decisions and improve their lives. It's crucial to recognize that education is a life long process that goes beyond the classroom. Education isn't just about degrees; it's about learning across various fields like Bitcoin to make a real impact. In Nigeria, many so many people believe formal degrees are the end all of education, but that's not the case. Acquiring knowledge about Bitcoin, even if it's not in the university curriculum, is a form of self-education that can truly elevate us. Understanding this, especially in a country where degrees are not always valued can lead to individual growth and success beyond obtaining degree.

you know this case is a minor thing for the government to handle if they're serious to do something about it they'll be a way out, okay look at other countries today how do you think they fought it in there own country. Is not that I'm condemning your opinion but what I'm saying is that government can make more opportunities for work even if they have 400,000 youth's that graduate, you see there is a way things are done in the sector even when it comes to government authorities. Okay are you telling me that over all the states in this Nigeria that they won't be any means of retiring the old staff, when it comes the department which the youth's do study at school. No so there is a way out, okay just take look at the (SMEs) small and medium size entrepreneur of which we have more graduate try to soft their life out on here but the government haven't put more effort towards it, I support you saying instead of them trying to creat more opportunities they should pay more attention to the (SMEs) I think would be more better, because through here is where the graduates are showcasing their talents and knowledge. So to cut it short let the government focus more to the small and medium size entrepreneur in this country.

I was checking around a topic to discuss and dis one captivated my attention. Though dis has been discussed some years back but you don bring am again discussion continues. I discussed this with one the staff in the education board in SUBEB and di man point out some valuable things from education. He said, Nobody should deceive the children that they are leaders of tomorrow because that is statement is no more in practical because after education there they can't find themselves in the parliament or in the corridor of power. And he also said there is no work for the graduates in anywhere in Nigeria. And there is no companies for the graduates to work and dat cause di fraudulent activities in di country. And why education is still important because of the new technology wey dem fit use am make legit money online but if na foe work then forget am.
